  1. They love Taron and won’t be moving on from him. There’s no guarantees for the others
  2. Agreed…I’m not sure why people seem to think he’s on the hot seat. With him taking over defensive calls, there’s definitely is more pressure him in 2023 than there was in 2022. But people sleep on how much power he has with the Bills and how much Terry reveres him. I think Beane gets fired before McDermott
  3. I think sometimes we underestimate just how BAD Saffold was. Despite this…the Bills never attempted to replace him which is almost as scary. I’m not so sure how much worse they’d be with Greg Van Roten or a returning Ike Boettger. You can scheme ways to help pressure off the edges but it’s harder when the pressure is coming up the middle. This is why I think they invested on interior OL talent Saffold was a Kromer guy - who I think has multiple strikes against him as OL Coach. He needs a big year to his job.
  4. Beane and McDermott ARE his inner circle!!! That’s who people don’t understand. Outside of Terry himself, they are the two most powerful people at One Bills Drive. I’d argue McDermott is probably #1 which makes the “hot seat” narrative laughable. Want more evidence? Look at how Terry dealt with coaches/GM’s with the Sabres… he’s not going to fire either McDermott or Beane any time soon. As far as who Terry consults with, the rumors were that he used to speak with Bill Polian frequently. It was also rumored that there was a deal to bring Polian to Buffalo in a Parcells-like president role in 2014. I wouldn’t be shocked if Polian was the guy advising him not to fire Whaley until after the draft - which is a textbook “football guy” move.
  5. Erik Turner is reliable… ECB is a fraud. I pity anyone who believes his crap
  6. McDermott has a lot riding on his this season with taking over playcalling duties but I don’t think he’s in much danger of losing his job if he fails. Dorsey on the other hand…
  7. I totally forgot about these two, but you are right - especially for Epinesa who will be a FA. If a DE like Jonathan Kingsley, Kameron Cline or Shane Ray balls out in the preseason, I would not be shocked to see a trade late in the preseason with one of these players.
  8. It seems like the Bills really like Oliver and want to re-sign him but he hasn’t done enough to justify the contract he’ll want. I see him in Edmunds territory, though the difference is that DT is a more premium position than LB. But yeah he’s really going to have to show he’s worth it. Bills might be able to re-sign Davis is he has another year like 2022. But will they want to? Good point… he actually has a potential out in contract after 2023, and given his contract, I wouldn’t put it past the team to exercise
  9. You’ve been worked, my friend. It’s all an act. Boy would I love to sell real estate to you Go back and watch the stuff he said about Tua and Herbert. It became a parody. This is just another example. As far as FS1, they encourage their personalities to really amplify crazy hot takes. It has nothing to do with market size as much as it does with social media engagement. Typically Bills fans are very active - which is why you see national media both pander and take shots at the team. Take a look at Acho when he was at ESPN vs. FS1. I rest my case.
  10. Here’s my choices: Spencer Brown - This is Brown’s second consecutive season to show improvement. He failed last year…if he fails again, you’ll likely see Buffalo replace him next offseason and move on the following season. Time is ticking. Ed Oliver - He’s never been able to consistently live up to his potential yet he’ll want a deal similar to Dexter Lawrence and Jeffrey Simmons - players who outperformed him despite being drafted later in 2018. But he’s not going to get anything close from the Bills or any other team if he doesn’t step it up in 2023. Gabe Davis - Davis had a good..not great season in 2022. Like Oliver he’s a FA in 2023 and the contract offer will likely depend on his performance in 2023. An improved season should secure a very lucrative contract at or close to WR1 money. Another 2022, and he’ll sign somewhere for modest WR2 money. Taylor Rapp - Rapp had options to sign a contract where he’d start or compete to start. He chose to sign in Buffalo to back up Poyer and Hyde. A good season could lead to a new contract with Buffalo to replace Hyde. Otherwise he’ll be back on the FA market in 2023. Poona Ford - same as Rapp. Ford allegedly took less money for an opportunity in Buffalo. With so many expiring contracts on the interior DL, a good season could help Ford cash in on a lucrative long term deal in Buffalo or elsewhere. Who else did I miss?
  11. You don’t seem to realize that Emmanuel has been a troll ever since he moved to FS1. All of there talent is instructed to have ridiculous opinions for attention. Just ask Shady
  12. It’s not about taking sides…I see this as a very sad situation on many levels and don’t have enough information to make definitive statements If the Bills kept Araiza, I am fairly certain he’d be on the NFL exempt list. I just feel that doing so, could likely be a distraction that lingered over the course of the season.
  13. The attorney for the victim is implying that the DA is concealing evidence to corroborate Araiza’s claim:
  14. I would agree that Buffalo made the best choice they could in the situation. I think a big part of the decision too (sadly), was that they wanted to avoid the distraction. Imagine the media circus that would linger all season long if Araiza was on the roster. Just not worth it for a punter. So they erred on the side of caution. With that being said, there still seems to be some degree of uncertainty around Araiza’s role that night. The DA concluded that he wasn’t present during the attack, however when the accusations first came out, his lawyer stated that any sexual contact between the two was consensual. Does this mean he had sex with her first before the attack? It does call into question whether she was inebriated then and whether he knew she was underage. Im wondering if Araiza told the Bills he wasn’t there during the attack and gave them reasonable evidence to back up his claims. But perhaps he did not tell them about interactions which occurred that night. I guess there still are a lot of questions we don’t have answers to
  15. It’s easy to forget that in the famous :13 game versus KC, Brown was destroyed by Melvin Ingram on 4th and 8 on the final Bills TD drive. It basically took good luck and a Herculean effort by Josh to juke him and scramble for a first down. Had it not been for Josh’s scrambling ability, the game couldn’t easily been over on that play thanks the very poor rep from Brown. To make matters worse, he played bad for most of the season last year. I just don’t hold the same optimism that Beane does for Brown.
  16. I’m pretty sure that Torrence and McGovern are starters with Bates as the first sub for all three interior positions. I think Torrence has to have a really bad camp to not get a starting job and I don’t see that happening. It seems like a forgone conclusion that Brown is the starting RT. The Bills have doubled and tripled down on his this offseason. They passed on drafted and signing a veteran RT to push him. The only way Bates played RT is if both Brown and Quessenberry get hurt or injured
  17. There is zero chance that Babylon Spector starts the season at MLB.
  18. IMO what’s missing on this roster is a player that actually push and/or replace Spencer Brown when he eventually sucks this season. I don’t think David Quessenberry is that player. He’s worse that Brown. I would love it if Buffalo could bring in a player like a Wynn and am hoping we can get a better option as a backup than Payne or Quessenberry
  19. Settle is such an odd case because when Buffalo signed him countless Washington fans said how underrated he was. He gets in Buffalo and proceeds to hardly do anything. I’m not sure if he reaped the benefits of playing on a stacked DL in Washington or if he’s just not very good
  20. I wouldn’t be opposed to either signing but if they were going to bring back a veteran DE on a lower-end contract, I don’t think they would have re-signed Shaq Lawson. If anything, I think the Bills might be looking at signing a new RT
  21. Perfect now just trade AJ Epinesa and Boogie Basham
  22. I wanted Ford all along. This is a good signing for Buffalo. For the first time that I can remember Buffalo has 2 very good 1DT in Jones and Ford. Not an overpaid and underwhelming DT in Star Lotulelei. Or a 3DT playing out of position at 1DT - Vernon Butler, Quinton Jefferson, Tim Settle, Jordan Phillips etc. vet excited for this signing I was told by Brandon Beane that Ed Oliver does great things that don’t show up on the stat sheet
  23. This is a really good signing for Buffalo. I would imagine the purpose of this is to stash him on the PS as a “break glass in case of emergency back” either due to injury or due to a RB sucking. I can’t see him active much on game day but given how banged up Damien Harris has been, some veteran injury insurance is not a bad move
  24. I listened to Tim Graham talk about his tweet two months ago which said the Bills were not trading for Hopkins. He said that it appeared Hopkins and his agents were the ones behind these rumors. His friends like Pacman Jones were the ones stirring the pot. His agents were probably the ones speaking to the media as well. This tells you he wanted out of AZ but that they didn’t want to trade or that they knew they couldn’t get enough for him. So from a few reports and Jones appearing on McAfee pushing the narrative it made it seem like a deal was closer than it was in reality. Also I find it interesting that all of the rumored teams interested in Hopkins ended up drafting WR’s (or TE’s in Buffalo) highly.
  25. It’s a joke…laughing at all the Bills fans who believe that garbage
