  1. NYG have a shortage of picks and a lot of needs. They also have pick #6 and Schoen and Beene are close. I think #28, a 4th and 5th this year and our 1st next year gets it done. That still leaves us with 8 picks this year And we get one of the top 3. Maybe our choice of 2 of the 3. for all we know, Beane and Schoen might have a deal agreed upon but it won’t be announced until the NYG are on the clock. Here’s why: If the league thinks NYG might make the pick, they’ll think NYG might be picking a QB. If this gets a team jumping NYG to get that QB, it benefits Buffalo. If QBs go 1,2,3,4 and Alt 5; we have a choice of all 3
  2. 28 is too early for sweat. Wouldn’t mind a wr at 28 and a trade up from 60 to the mid 40s for sweat though
  3. I’d be much more interested in Polk than Walker at 60, and Polk prob last to 60
  4. I don’t think we’re trading up for Latu and the chance of him making it 28 over very close to 0%. He may go top 15
  5. I would be happy with either or Franklin or Legette at pick 40+ (trade down from 28 or up from 60); I wouldn’t be particularly happy with either at 28
  6. how are Franklin’s analytics? Bills seem to be spending a lot of time with him. Pac10, or wherever he played bs sec is thought to quantify Also if speed is the factor, why not worthy over Franklin?
  7. I agree - Edge is our biggest need and I would definitely try to trade up to TB. Alternatively, what would it cost to trade up to JAX (17) to grab Thomas? Would #30, a 4th and the 2025 2nd be in the ballpark?
  8. I just did a mock and took #28: McConkey at 28 (there was a run on WRs and it was between him and Worthy) #60: Traded #60 and (2) 5ths to move up to #52 and took Legette Pretty realistic if Beene's wants to stack WR's. I would love this as I have a serious man crush on McConkey but would to pair him with a more natural X receiver.
  9. Beene has done a pretty good job filling other needs. The biggest needs, other than WR are Edge and safety and maybe a 3rd string RB. If he stands pat, he could draft wr's with the first 2 picks. My favorite idea is: #28 McConkey #60 Walker (maybe a small trade up for Legette or Franklin if they fall)
  10. If Thomas isn't drafted in the first 18, i think Beene is trying desperately to trade up for him. I think there's a 30% chance he falls to 19/20. No way in the world he falls to 28 because someone (KC, etc) would jump Buffalo to grab him before Buffalo. For all we know, Beene may have another receiver rated higher?? They've spent a lot of time with Franklin and have been kinked to Coleman and Mitchell. The only top guy they haven't been linked to - no meetings, etc is McConkey - Smokescreen or not a fit??
  11. per my draft blog above, I just tried a mock draft to see if it was pracitcal: #28 came around and all tier 2 wr's were available. SF offered e #31 and their 2025 2nd for #28 I accepted. with #31 I took mitchell I have an unexplainable love for McConkey and when he was still available at #44, I traded #60 and our 2025 2nd for #44 and grabbed McConkey. so, net, i have the same amount of picks left and grabbed Adalai Mitchell and McConkey. Great WR room now and gives us option flexibility with Diggs in 2025 and beyond
  12. Beane does like to move up but it may not make sense this year. He's not trading into the top 10 to get one of the top 3 and Thomas probablly goes in the lowe to mid teens. Too rich to move up to that. Unless Beane really loves a guy in tier 2, there's no reason to move up from 28 as a few of these guys will be there: Mitchell, Franklin, coleman, Worthy, McConkey. I would rather trade down into the early 2nd and grab ones of these guys and an extra pick (2025 2nd or 2024 3rd is about proper value). The only was I see Beane trading up is: 1. If Thomas drops to around 19/20 = doubtful 2. Beane loves one of the tier 2 guys better than the rest and wants to make sure he gets him = like he did with Kinkaid. Probably not necessary, but he may do it.
  13. EDGE is a much bigger need right now. Was hoping for Clowney but his price tag was too high
  14. if he's an upgrade over Settle and Ford then great. Little moves like this increased WR as our first pick, so I'm all for DL signings
  15. If he's there, it would be a solid pick. BUT if done, he better be prepared to trade up from 60 to the 40s to grab a Fanklin/Legette type unless they're highon Walker (NC) who should be available at 60.
  16. Wake up people (not pointed at you Strive) it is absolutely impossible to trade Diggs this year. It would be a $30 million cap hit and we can't sustain that. Next year is a different story. My draft strategy: #28 McConkey - I'm not worried he's not a pure X receiver. He's still 6') 195 (not small) and has great speed. He will catch 100 balls each year. Think Cole Beasley quickness and hands with Eric Mould speed. #60 Walker or a trade up to #45 Legette. Here I get my true X. You have Josh Allen - you give him every weapon you can and this protects against Diggs' future
  17. 36 Troy Franklin WR | Oregon I was watching Brian Thomas and ready to trade up but he went too early. Bills seem to have a lot of interest in Franklin but I had no interest in him at 38. So I traded 28 to Washington for 36, a 3rd and a 5th 58Tyler Nubin S | Minnesota Shocked to dee Nubin there, I trade up to spots with Green Bay, giving up a 5th to grab him 67 Christian Haynes IOL | UConn With the 3rd from Washington, I filled a need and took the BPA 97 Javon Bullard S | Georgia Hoping to have my next Poyer/Hyde pair, I traded 128, 144 and 160 to Cincinatti for 97. A steep price, but Bullard was by far the best player on the board and hopefully now I'll have my two stud safeties for the forseeable future (I'm not a fan of Rapp nor Edwards) 139 Gabriel Murphy EDGE | UCLA Going a but with need from now on, I had options but had the BPA at Dline/edge 163 Justin Eboigbe DL | Alabama Best Player Available at Dline 200 Keith Randolph Jr. DL | Illinois Double up at Dline as I love Randolph's upside 204 Dillon Johnson RB | Washington New 3rd string RB 248 J.D. Bertrand LB | Notre Dame Special teams player to start
  18. I think Beane is taking a WR with his first pick. I don't think that will be at #28. (1) A move up to the late teens for Thomas (2) A drop back to the low 40s for Franklin, McConkey, Legette, Worthy, etc - whomever drops to there and a couple will. It depends on who they are targeting, if they are targeting Thomas and if Thomas drops to the high teens. My gut is it's either Thomas at 17-19 or Franklin at 35-42
  19. I agree, If we trade up it has t be for Thomas; otherwise I want McConkey at #28; and a more tradition X later in the draft. The draft is so deep at WR, I wouldn't mind going McConkey at 28 and someone like Legette (if he makes it there) or Walker. DT is deep enough to wait on, Safety. we signed two guys. I think if you want someone like Pearsall, Legette or Franklin (over a Worthy or Mitchell, you absolutely trade back into the early part of Rd 2 and Grab another 2nd. Yu don't take Pearsall at 28.
  20. and $18 million post 6.1.24 $7 million: Clowney 3 years 25 million, $9 million signing bonus, salaries; $2 million/$6 million/$8 million $3 million: Hyde, 1 more year, 1 year $3 million $3 million: Trey, 3 years $20m; $3 million singing bonus, salaries: $2 million/$6 million/$8 million $15 million left for Picks/Taxi Squad; call it a great offseason
  21. After doing thorough research, if Thomas jr falls to the late teens, you do whatever you need to trade up and get him. The dropoff from the top three to him is slight and a lot less than him to the next batch. 28, our 2025 2nd and a midround 2024 pick or two should get it done. He's that good
  22. clowney 1 yr 7-8m; problem solved. It my have to wait until 6.1 though
