Hi Everyone and a welcome to the TSW Mock Draft 1.0 sign-up thread. I wanted to say that X annual mock, but I have no idea how many years we’ve been doing this (5 years?). Anyways, not many changes to the format this year, but the rules and expectations are as follows: Mock 1.0 is 3 rounds and no trades allowed. Future mocks will have different rules. The Bills selection will be done by a survey of the BPA’s at the time. The Draft will begin once all 32 owners have been found. If that does not occur until after 7p est on 4/1/24, then the draft will begin at 9a on 4/2. So, the data would suggest they are more likely to value defensive line 😋. To be clear, I’m with you. I have too much ptsd from their drafting DL early. However, if there is a game wrecker there at Edge, I’d support it. I don’t think that person will be there at 28 though.

Why not defensive line? After this year, we will be back to having minimal depth. Von could be gone. I would not be surprised if they went DL if a BPA is there

On second thought, I'm going to hold off on sign-ups until Monday. With Easter this weekend, I don't want there to be a gap in the process. Also, Spring break isn't going to get in the way of any drafts this year. A sign-up thread will be started Monday morning, with the goal for the draft to start Tuesday morning. We will have 3 drafts as follows: 1.0 - 3 rounds, no trades (4/2-4/10) 2.0 - 2 Rounds, with trades (4/11-4/20) 3.0 - 1 round, with trades (4/22-4/25 - will do 2 rounds if we have time)

It would be nice if some of them were younger and on longer deals. I don't think this takes DT off the draft board for us, but could let us kick the can down the road to next year.

How will onside kicks work? Under the new rule, onside kicks will only be allowed in the fourth quarter, and only if a team is trailing. Also, the team that wants to attempt the onside kick will have to "declare" that it's trying it. This will eliminate the surprise onside kick.

Just a heads up, I think I'm going to start the sign-up thread tomorrow evening at some time with a goal of the draft starting Saturday or Monday

Yup, that's basically what I'm looking for. However, it doesn't show what round each player is rated at. For example, the #2 and #3 Centers are valued as 3rd round picks. I would like to show that.
