  1. I'm super excited to hear that Rex is still going to force feed his defense, call the plays, and change up out personel. And since we don't have money, which is locked up in people who don't fit the scheme, we are going to do it with rookies and C free agents. I'm sure between that and our currently guys playing to their weaknesses, I'm sure this will go great. I'm so excited
  2. Off topic, but you mentioned it. I still think the Redskins won that deal, as well as proved another valid point, which is to take a starting qb if he's on the board. Goal #1 is to win a champion. Goal #1B is to be relevant and sell tickets. RG3 was a financial gold mine between jersey sales and interest in the team. And now, because they took cousins as well, they may have liability as well. What do the Rams have?
  3. 1 - Because they've been desperate for a QB for years and you can't win without one (Don't mention Denver this year) 2 - Again, assuming he's there. Sometimes you have to trade up to make sure no one does it before you. It's security. If you KNEW FOR A FACT that the Titans were staying at #1, then I'd agree. But if they get that phone call at the last minute and trade back and you don't get your guy, what then?
  4. I think I'm working Cleveland and if I get a 2nd and 4th to drop back one spot, that's a win. I'd try to work teams picking in the top 4 so I still get my guy and I don't think that's unrealistic. But their OT will be there at 3 and I think you have to try to get there
  5. Right now, the conversation is either offensive tackle or trade out of the number one spot. They obviously feel comfortable with Mariotta at qb. The gm has come out and said it will take a kings ransom to trade the pick away. Cleveland is almost definitely going qb at #2. If I'm a Titans fan, I want to trade that pick at all costs and this is the dream scenario. There's arguably two qbs worth going top 5. There are a solid top 15 players this year. I'm hoping my gm is not only taking offers, but making them. I'm using this to stockpile picks and really build into my team. If the teams stays at 1, I think I'd be pretty upset. Thoughts
  6. Signed for 5.5 mil to the Ravens. I would have made that deal. Oh well
  7. I got turned onto using them this past year. It's a whole new kind of clean. 5/7 recommend
  8. I think that was the idea at the beginning of the season, but then injuries happened and he made quite a few starts at CB. I only know because I remember seeing flashes of brilliance from him again.
  9. Law of a averages. Most teams would consider 2-3 impact starters a success from a draft. But that's not every time and I'm giving us the benefit of the doubt based off the last few years. McKelvin was our #3. Even if you want to debate that, this is a league where 4 WR sets are more and more common. He was on the field a lot last year and needs to be replaced. And yes, it's a deep D-Line draft. So, if we replace Mario, get a LB, and a RT with 1-3, we still need to get those other positions filled. Plus, the goal is to be better. Our LB's were terrible last year. And I mean, terrible. We don't really know about Aaron Williams. We don't know if Woods was having an off year. We don't have a #3 WR. So, there are more holes to fill than most people find success with in a draft and 2nd/3rd tier FA's. That, and the goal is to improve from year to year. Now, what that has to do with my belief that Rex is a used car salesman type coach who hasn't proven anything in the past 5 years and should be arrested for interview fraud, I have no idea. Or should I equally assume that you are drunk and have no idea what you are saying by your screen name?
  10. If the plan is depth from FA and 2-3 starters from the draft, I feel like the best we can hope for is a wash in talent. We lost starters at DE, LB, CB and needed a RT, another LB, arguably a #2 WR. I don't see how we can get better and we are banking on draft success. Which, based off the past few years, not impossible to believe.
  11. Jesus, 4 mil a year for Hogan. Jackpot and good job for him
  12. I mean yeah, but we had a player there. We don't have anyone at LB right now with potential and not even enough to really run a 3-4.
  13. Yeah, yesterday was terrifying. I'm actually glad we weren't apart of it and am not looking forward to next year. I am curious why the extension with Glenn and Gilmore is taking so long though
  14. We could lose our entire team via FA and expired contracts and they'd still find a way to take a pick from us and give it to the Pats
  15. I'm NOT saying we should do this AT ALL! But I wonder what we could get in trade for TT
  16. Fair. I'm in stage 1 of the offseason, DOOOOMMMED on Day 1 of Free Agency Stage 2 - Who the hell did we just draft?!? Stage 3 - The Bills did something in Training Camp - Superbowl!!!! Stage 4 - Preseason game 3 - DOOOOMMED Stage 5 - 2-1 to start the season. "Where should I get my hotel room for the playoffs?" Stage 6 - What should I do in December with my Sunday's God damn BBFS
  17. sorry, didn't see the previous thread. please delete
  18. I think it's safe to say that we can't make a splash in FA; maybe some low-mid tier guys. We can assume that our rookies and QB will show improvement in their second year as starters. But, unless we slam dunk the draft with 3 impact starters (RT, LB, LB), I feel like we can only take a step back in overall roster strength. We had to pay our own guys and I agree with the moves so far. But we have all the weaknesses of last year and more holes to fill. Even with the money we have available next year, we will have to pay Glenn again, Tyrod could be 20+, Gilmore is going to get paid. I'm not saying this to be pessimistic and I don't even know what I would suggest that we could have done better. I'm just not seeing the optimism that some are about next year. And I didn't even mention Rex! Where's my cookie?
  19. Tell a girl she's pretty a thousand times and she'll never remember. Call her fat once and she'll never forget...because elephants never forget
  20. Agreed on Fitz. He'd be Denver's best choice. They know how to handle the noodle arm and won with less this past year. And yeah, the boy needs to get his 12-15 mil
