  1. I never said we couldn't win, I'm saying I didn't think we would. Again, the Seahawks are on of the best teams in the league and can score a crapton of points. Our offense has not clicked in 3 weeks. If you can't understand how that might pose a problem, I got nothing for you. If we played how we did the past 3 weeks, we don't win this game. Fortunately, we brought out A game on both sides of the ball You might be right about Phillips. I thought he had a good game last week, so I still found it a little surprising. But it does seem that McD is taking his defensive line rotation to the next level this season.
  2. 100% agreed. Lorax liked lining up with his hands on the ground. AJ just wants to run straight in. Once he got his confidence, it looked to translate to the rest of his game
  3. Honestly, I knew before halftime. Russ can comeback, but I never felt like we weren't in control of this game. When Josh has that look in his eyes and you realize that no one besides the TE's and Metcalf has any catches, you know it's going to be a good ride.
  4. In full transparency, I didn't see a win today. Not because I don't have faith in the Bills, but because I believe the Seahawks are arguably the best team in the NFL. I know there defense is statistically crap, but they have Russell Wilson, who to me is the best overall quarterback in the league. A step further, Russ is my favorite non-Bill in the league. His story in the NFL, his ability to make 4th quarter comebacks, and they accuracy he eventually showed today is something I believe is elite. With that being said, I hoped we could win 1 of our next 2 games to keep pace, as NFC games are good to win, but not deal breakers. In any case, I was very happy to be wrong and Andre Roberts proved that very quickly on the kick-off. 1 - Allen - I've said in previous games that you can just tell from the beginning if Josh has "it" or doesn't. Today, he absolutely had it. Josh was straight up phenomenal in all aspects of his game. He showed his athleticism avoiding some (but not enough) sacks, he was accurate, he showed legs when he needed to, and he ended up being the best quarterback on the field today (and you know how I feel about Wilson). Nothing rattled Josh today and he just kept on coming. Even with our typical 3rd quarter lull, Allen was lights out in way that validates his start of season performance. I don't know if his hurt shoulder, bad weather, or the adjusted scheduled, but Josh was back to MVP form today and against an elite team. The only knock on Allen today was the sacks he took right around the 35 that affected FG range. It didn't come back to bite us, but I feel like he's had this issues a few times. 2 - Klein - One game doesn't earn you overall redemption, but no one tell AJ Klein that. Where the hell did this game come from? Klein was all over the field today and laying the wood on guys. In his post game, AJ said the game plan was good. Well, if the game plan was to absolutely terrorize the offense, then copy and past for the rest of the season. His sack, forced fumble, and recovery on Russ was borderline criminal. That was the kind of play that makes you look for a flag because something just had to be illegal there. In a game where Milano was a big concern to be missed, AJ handled business in coverage and rushing the passer. He showed great speed and I honestly think his play elevated Edmunds a bit, who's also been missing in action. Just a great game and I hope to see more of it before the official apology tour begins. 3 - Big Hits - I've never embedded video's on TSW, but this game made me wish I could. There were some hits in this game that made me audibly react. There was one kick return in particular where I don't know how the Seahawks returner got up. Even my boy Russ took shots today that's going to require an ice bath later. I'm going to get to the coaching and prep later, but this is a game that will be fun to watch the replay of on defense for a while to come. Is there an angry hits version of angry runs? If so, I know a few plays... 4 - Man got the rub on, sister got the rub They're goin' around doing the rub, the rub Ain't it crazy, ain't it crazy Ain't it crazy one day keep on rubbin' that thing. 5 - QB Pressure - I'm going to bring up both teams here as they each did a great job of getting to the QB. There were more sellout blitzes than I've seen in a long time that were feast or famine. We had a few that left some guys wide open, but that's the price you pay. I love the dialed up blitzes as Russel was running for his life a lot. Russ had his life saved a few times by the blocking back, but even that wasn't enough a lot. Both teams showed five man lines and still sent extra guys. Hughes continued his great season with another strip sack. Addison chased down Wilson with surprising speed. Kudos to Frazier for mixing up who that extra guy was as I saw a variety of DB's going after Russ. Both QB's overall handled the pressure the best they could, but I overall think the Bills offensive line held up better, regardless of what the sack total's were. A few of those were on Josh for not getting rid of the ball fast enough. 6 - DB's - Metcalf/Lockett - I've eaten my crow a few weeks back, but I'll continue with how impressive DK looks on the field. Dude is an absolute specimen and seems to have squashed any concerns about body control. The deep ball over Tre was just unfair. I was actually surprised how much single deep safety we ran and dared Russ to beat us. Other than that, most of the receivers catches were from deep cushions and the typical McD "bend but don't break." Lockett was surprisingly not heard from at all as it seemed our DB's did a solid job keeping the receivers out of the game. Most of Russ's passing yards game from that broken deep ball TD and TE's downfield. I think those were acceptable losses within our game plan. Poyer balled out again and is unquestionably our defensive MVP and it was nice to see Tre get some vindication with the 4th quarter interception. 7 - Officiating - Talk about a one sided officiating crew. I don't remember the full details, but there was a 3rd and long where they call a late hit against Russ and PI. Both calls were bogus to me. Then, there was an illegal shift that ended with a pass to our 3 yard line that wasn't called. This next one could go both ways, but the offensive holding seemed to be completely ignored against the Bills. Hughes got called on a terrible personal foul that brought the Seahawks into Bills territory. Lastly, the Davis possible touchdown pass not even getting reviewed was rough to me, however McD didn't challenge it either. Regardless, it felt like the Ref kept the Seahawks in it on a few drives and tried to knock us back. Either way, nothing we couldn't overcome. 8 - Receivers - This truly was a game for everyone. I don't know if it was the Seahawks D or Daboll's play calling, but guys were open all over the field for Allen. Most of Diggs catches were with huge cushions and runs after the catch. Brown looked healthy for the first time in weeks, and it showed on the field. Beasley was reliable when needed, but honestly wasn't needed as much. Davis also got in the action with some nice grabs. Daboll also called up two perfectly timed screens. This is the type of game film that should keep upcoming opposing defensive coordinators up at night. I honestly don't know how you can stop all these guys. Moreso, if this is Daboll figuring out how to take advantage of the short yardage game, look out, because you know we can handle the deeper game. 9 - Frazier - Some would say that giving up 30+ points can't be a good defensive effort. I would say this was our best defensive effort of the season. The Bills looked like a completely different team out there today. We didn't give up a passing TD until the broken play and then in garbage time. We gave up a few big gainers, but also created a lot of negative plays. Our blitzes were exotic and wonderfully disguised. This level of adaption in scheme for our 9th game gave me more hope than anything else from this game. We showed the ability to adapt and succeed in a new identity. We knew the Seahawks couldn't be completely shut down, so we found the wins where we could and it was enough to put us in the drivers seat the entire game. Just a brilliant effort. 10 - McD - When your team comes out flat, the coach takes the fall. When your team comes out hot, stays hot, and puts a boot on the other teams neck throughout the entire game, the goach should also get the credit. At 7-2, McD had his team play their most complete game tonight. Even with Milano out, and the decision to bench Phillips again, McD pulled all the right levers today. We took down one of the best teams in the league and never looked back once we took the lead. For those who want to attach our wins to this point, there's nothing you can say to dimish this accomplishment. McD had them ready and I think all of us are a little more ready for the rest of this season. Go Bills!
  5. Wouldn’t we want the Raiders to win since we beat them and haven’t played the chargers yet?
  6. Seattle 42 Bills17 Russ brings back the read option and induces traumatic flashbacks from the Ontario game. Seahawks rush for 600 yards and Diggs tears his quad. Dolphins beat the Cardinals and the world keeps crashing down
  7. Of all the QB’s we shoulda, coulda, woulda....Russel Wilson is the one I wish we took. But that also means we wouldn’t have drafted Allen, so.....
  8. It's the safety coverage over top. They may have a step, but are also running towards coverage. We have no problem getting open in short yardage, but it's not the game we want to play.
  9. You regard the Hoodie with logic and reason. I regard him with blind disdain. I cannot use logic and reason, but applaud you for it
  10. Thanks for posting. Not a great highlight reel for his first game. Really off wort most of his passes. Surprises he didn’t get picked off more or get one of his receivers killed
  11. Then explain what your comment meant. You said it was typical to blame Diggs for the interception, inferring it was Allen
  12. He even said he made the wrong cut at the end Allen hater, typical
  13. I think you have to take 2 to 3 deep shots a game, if only to keep the defense honest. Preferably, you want to do this on 2nd and short, but I respect the call.
  14. There’s also something called talent involved here. I’d love to have Wagner on this defense
  15. I understand where you are coming from, but think the title is a bit harsh. I hope Morse is healthy and makes decisions that are best for him and his family. I immediately thought about the potential of his retirement once I heard it was a potential concussion, knowing his history
  16. Apparently the stress was more than he could bare
  17. I don’t want to see us in man either of the next two weeks. We will need the bend but don’t break McD, yardage and minimal points strategy. We won’t win foot races and we need to contain both QB’s
  18. Oh wow.... I think the win broke reality.
  19. I will not get banned I will not get banned I will not get banned I will not get banned
  20. I'd support any salary dumps for guys we don't expect to be on the team next season or the year after. With our rotation on defense, I don't see anyone coming in making a big impact.
  21. Phillips had a good game today. Ford has been solid at Guard. Overall, more hits than misses. And if Allen keeps playing like he has, then the rest doesn't matter
  22. When I think of NFL divisional rivals, I always think about the Packers and Vikings. No matter how good one of them got, they always played each other hard and close. Coincidentally, they also played today and the Vikings pulled out the upset win. When you play in the same division, the coaches and players simply know each other better and the results don't match up with what the pre-game analytics would suggest. Then we have the Bills and the Pats today.... 1 - Daboll - I've been incredibly critical of Daboll's rushing attack play calls this year. He's lacked creativity and seemed to run because he felt he technically had to. Today, he deployed a rushing attack that I hope he maintains for the rest of the season (in quality, not quantity). He put Motor and Moss on the field at the same time, used zone runs, and pulls guards. The result was our best rushing game of the season. I can't speak for the wind today, but I would have liked to have seen some more passes once the rain stopped, especially against the depleted Pats secondary. Regardless, solid gameplan that should have put up 10 more points than we say (Int and drop). 2 - Motor/Moss - These guys really made the most of their opportunities today and really impressed me. Moss's rush before the first touchdown validated the Bills selection of him in the 3rd round as he showed speed, power, and a quick cut. His two touchdown runs really showed his power, even with some help from Feliciano and Winters pushing him in. Both guys broke some arm tackles and solid burst. I'd give the edge today to Moss for overall production, but they both made a solid argument for MVP. The touchdowns determined the winner for me. Call-out to Motor for making a solid block on one of Moss's runs. Love that team effort. 3 - Feliciano - I didn't know I could miss a guy I barely paid attention to before and an offensive lineman at that. On each of the big run replays, Feliciano absolutely mauled his defenders. He probably should have been called for a few holds as I saw him straight up tackle a guy once. Man, he really made a difference out there, again with the touchdown support. It's really unfortunate that Morse went out with a concussion (especially being his potential 5th), because the line could look a lot different in the rushing attack with Morse, Feliciano, and Ford anchoring the middle. Either way, solid effort in his first game back and in transitioning to Center. 4 - You say you got a real solution, well you know, we'd all love to see the plan You ask me for a contribution, well you know, we are doing what we can But if you want money for people with minds that hate All I can tell you brother is you have to wait Don't you know it's gonna be alright, alright, alright. 5 - Pats Defense - First off, can we talk about the Hoodie' son's mullet? Is he trying to one-up his day for style points? Moving on. The pass rush of the Pats today was solid and didn't make Dawkins or Williams look great at times. They were edge rushing wide on most past plays and sped up Allen's clock. They may not have brought Allen down much, but he took some shots today and made things uncomfortable at times. The Hoodie was also up to his old tricks of standing all 11 guys pre-snap and showed 8 in the box. I'm curious to see what the All-22 shows and hear more about the wind, because I'm curious how the coverage was downfield. 6 - Klein - For a FA target that we gave 6 mil a year too, I really expected more out of AJ this season. He's been mainly non-existent and his snap rotation seems low. Today, he missed at least two tackles today that resulted in solid gains. Most of the plays today that gave me the typical Pats/Bills flashbacks, were attached to missed tackles where Klein was involved and in the area. Overall, just not seeing the production from him that justifies us targeting him or his contract. 7 - Allen - I hate to keep talking about the wind and the offensive scheme, but it's safe to say that any evaluation of Allen has to take those into consideration. However, I think Allen overall played a solid game today and, more importantly, never seemed confused or raddled by the Pats defense. His interception was a mis-play by Diggs. Davis dropped a wide open touchdown pass that was a great play by Allen. Josh had a few solid runs and took what was given. His one deep shot missed, but I liked the shot. There was a deep crossing route to Diggs that Diggs claimed to have his arm held, which would have extended a drive, but never saw a replay. Overall, not a great game but also not a bad game. I loved seeing the fire in Josh on his rushing TD and can't wait until the rematch in New England. 8 - Defense - Talk about a tale of two halves. Based off the first half alone, I didn't think the Patriots were ever going to core a touchdown against us. Not only did they score a touchdown in the second half, but they scored two and quickly. On the second touchdown drive, we looked very Bills/Pats Billsy with missed tackles and penalties. Penalties and mistakes overall kept the Pats in this game. As for Frazier, I don't know why Tre didn't shadow Meyers once he showed to be the go-to guy for Cam. This is now two weeks in a row where we've been susceptible e to the outside toss/pitch. Then, on the last drive, you all felt it to. I went from calm to panicked in about 10 seconds as the Pats drove down field to possible win the game at the end. I couldn't wrap my brain around the concept of losing this game after the first 55 minutes of feeling completely in control. But, thanks to the Zimmer and "Next Man Up Marlow", we got to see Cam sitting on the sideline in total shame and despair and Josh take the knee. 24 points should have been enough to keep this a stress-free game, but Frazier and the defense still showed we have a ways to go. 9 - The Hoodie - I've never hidden my disdain for the Cheat as I find him to be a poor example of winning at all costs. You can call BS all you want, but I would trade one Super Bowl ring if it meant him being our coach. His system only works when they win, and it's clear that's what earns him such a long leash with the players. I've wondered if a primary reason for all their opts outs this season were because of the culture he creates. I think his ego is ridiculous. I think his son being on the defensive staff is ridiculous. I still remember Brady throwing bombs to Moss in their 16-0 season because they were going for records. I think about his press conferences, the way he pushes the rule book, and just overall demeanor. I can go on forever, but it incensed me when they ran draws on 3rd and long, showing they had no respect for our offense. His offensive kick backfiring into a touchdown felt amazing. His timeouts while we were taking a knee rubbed me the wrong way too. Yes, I'm bias in my dislike of him, and I couldn't be happier to see him walk off the field a loser today. 10 - McD - Gameball has to go to McD today for his first win against the Pats. It may not have gone how anyone wanted it to, but a win is a win and we are 6-2 halfway through the season. Our schedule doesn't get any easier next week, so this win was important. We are one more division win from controlling all division tie breakers (don't even try to show me all the mathematical scenarios to prove me wrong, you know what I mean). This was a solid win and had the defense played their part in the second half, would have been a solid win. Great first half of the season and hopefully this gets the monkey off your back. Shout out - Bass - It's easy to take for granted the 3 extra points and short Field Goal today, but Bass was solid against the win for all 4 kicks. He misses even one of those, and we are possibly losing this game on the last drive. All of his kicks were right down the middle. *Disclaimed - If you are going to come on here and bash the close win against a depleted offense, just post it somewhere else. In a week where the Dolphins embarrassed the Rams, Vikings ran over the Packers, and the Bengals crushed the Titans, any win in the conditions today is a positive. If you can't be happy at 6-2, then there is no pleasing you. Go Bills!
