  1. Bring the Bills back and take a look at RT McGlinchy (SF)
  2. I'm greedy. I want both back. But if Hines is under contract next year, he's the guy. Singletary MAY want to test the market, and I'd bring him back if we can be reasonably competitive in negotiations. Lot's of talent in the draft, plus we have some good depth to step up.
  3. Respectfully, I'll look at his time in the NFL. He's proven that he can be dominant. I'm not sure what happened but I hope it turns around. That said I don't disagree with you about potential round 1 target WR, IF the right player drops. I would not reach though.
  4. Honestly while do do think WR is a need, I still think that Gabe Davis is going to become the player he was in LAST season's playoffs.... plus Shakir is going to be a major impact player next season IMO. With those 3, we're pretty good. Now if a WR that's ranked high falls to us in the first, you have to take him, but I'd prefer interior O-line there. Also, what about SAFETY? Our starters are both on the wrong side of 30 next season. Should we be talking about Alabama's Brian Branch or Texas AM Antonio Johnson as options? Arguably a bigger need than WR (assuming Gates/Shakir work out the way I think they can)?
  5. We made the playoffs, and it was an exciting season..... If not for the "elbow injury", the Bills could have earned a first round bye in my opinion.
  6. Ya let him play out the contract and then let him walk if he does not improve. We need better depth at CB and I hope that he turns it around.
  7. Great post. I appreciate the details and thought. Don't panic is a given. This is a playoff team :). I'd be moreso concerned if the Bills went 8-8 and missed the playoffs. This is a talented roster overall. I agree with a lot of this with a few extra points. Good list of vet mins with the caveat that they have to make the team.... especially those O-linemen. I'd add that I think Matakevich has been a bit better than a vet minimum bill. A note on Poyer: Next contract has to have some injury clauses or games played. Worried about his age and ability to come back from the day to day "DINGS" that football brings. Will he stay healthy and continue to play at a high level? Your list starting with Jones. I'm no cap specialist but I'd keep the whole group you listed except Phillips if possible. I also think we need a better backup QB for insurance. Go free agency. As for the draft, my current rounds 1-3 positional targets as starters or top end backups are: OG OC S DL WR Other draft needs for better depth: LB DL WR S OL
  8. Allen, Diggs, Miller. Top tier. Despite the poor showing in the playoffs, the defense was very good. Excellent really more often than not. Great reasons for optimism. I think that Shakir is going to be one of the better WR's on this team for a long time as well. Flashes of brilliance in a rookie year, and I think he will take a major step forward next season. Not sure what happened to Gabe Davis, but he's also GOT to rebound next season (in a contract year as someone mentioned above). Management has been vocal about the issue with the "trenches", so a heavy investment in draft and $ capital could give Allen more time (i.e. less mistakes), and and better clock control (with a boost to the run game).
  9. "Sorry Boss, I'm too exhausted to work" Boss: "There's the door"
  10. I wouldn't clean house fully, no. But just like any year, you have to evaluate and cut the fat. This is a playoff team, not a team in rebuild mode.
  11. Losing Miller hurt. May not be able to afford top FA pass rusher, so I'd look to the draft.
  12. I'd let a number go... All the UFA O-linemen QB Keenum DL Phillips (depends on his ask though) WR Kumerow and Crowder (why not keep Beasley of he still wants a shot) TE Sweeney AJ Klein S Marlowe I'm afraid to talk about Edmunds on this board but that's a contract I'll be interested in watching play out...
  13. I don't think it mattered one way or the other. These men worked hard to get to the playoffs and I think every player on both sides of the ball were laser focused on the job at hand.
  14. I agree somewhat with the OP. We need interior O-linemen as a good start. Tackle... yes. It will be interesting to see what happens this offseason on that OL. The depth stinks to high heaven on the OL, and our starters are average with Morse arguably the best of the bunch this year. That's not a compliment.
  15. Mix in more 4 WR sets, and/or give him more snaps swapping with McKenzie. We need to see more of this kid, but McKenzie is also very good. Good problem to have! Allen's got some weapons.
  16. Must be tough to be a Raiders fan when THIS guy used to be in charge of your drafts.... I mean really....
  17. Hoping the Bills take a look at the MIA cast-off RB/KR ZaQuandre White as a Practice Squad addition. I like his running style and kick return potential. May be the "next up" KR.
  18. You don't get to choose your nickname! I think Punt God will stick.
  19. Better. Von Miller is a difference-maker. Like additions to D-line. The key will be if Elam is a HIT or miss, and if Tre comes back from injury and doesn't take a step back from previous level of play.
  20. ESPN. I'm posting OURLADS (might be better) https://www.ourlads.com/nfldepthcharts/depthchart/BUF
  21. Last Draft Post..... Here are my final top 8 for round 7. OC Dohnovan West OG Marquis Hayes LB JoJo Domann OG Thayer Munford LB Mike Rose DT Thomas Booker DT Eric Johnson OG Jason Poe
  22. Of course the roster can still change, as can who the starters will be. I'm just wondering what you think about the state of the Bills now that the draft is settling in. Is this team better than last season's team? I also know that the base 4-3 might not be the right look (RE: Von Miller etc...). But let's look at the overall roster here.
  23. On a team as talented as the Bills, 6th and 7th rounders are practice quadders most likely. Tenuta can develop. as can anyone drafted in round 7.
