  1. It’s good click bait that will draw attention and spark debate. I wouldn’t get that wrapped into the actual numbers. I think the chart does a good job outlining each teams strength and weakness.
  2. QBs drafted in Top 3 since 2010 (Bold still with the team that drafted them) 2010: Sam Bradford 2011: Cam Newton 2012: Andrew Luck, RG3 2014: Blake Bortles 2015: Jameis Winston, Marcus Mariota 2016: Jared Goff, Carson Wentz 2017: Mitch Trubisky 2018: Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold 2019: Kyler Murray let’s be honest outside of Luck none of these QBs have really been transformative players. Newton and Wentz have and big seasons, but both are injury prone. Goff has had his moments, but was brutal last year. Trubisky is on his last leg in Chicago. Mayfield and Darnold need to show something next year, and Murray to me is somewhat overrated in that dink and dunk offense.
  3. So last year Pittsburgh would have gotten in at 8-8 and the Rams would have snuck in at 9-7. Overall I’m a pretty big fan of this. Maybe the Jets can sneak into the playoffs this decade.
  4. maybe but both guys pretty much had all day to throw to first round WRs, TEs, and backs. The Miami Dolphins and Cincinnati Bengals will be a different animal.
  5. How hard to do you think it is to evaluate Tua and Burrow? Those guys played with first round picks all over their offense. It’s not exactly a level playing field.
  6. If they can’t come to an agreement in a timely manner then I think you really need to look to remove Pelosi and McConnell from their positions. Our government works, but it’s not working with those two. It’s not fair to Americans who really need action here.
  7. There was not nearly the sense of urgency in 2008 that there is today when people are dying. It could take weeks for these #######s to get something to do something. I don’t believe Pelosi and Schumer really want the market to crash (they have millions on the line as well), but I do think they are concerned of a pro Trump perception. If that’s the case they need to get off their high horses and act like elected officials.
  8. I like the approach a lot. Joe Douglas is addressing the positions of need and refusing to pay more for a player than what he’s comfortable with. When you do that you have a chance in free agency (that’s how you avoid Trumaine Johnson deals). The actual moves? Poole and McGovern were no brainers-solid moves Fant is a roll of the dice IMO. The Jets must see something in him, and if they are right 9MM for a starting tackle is a bargain. If they are wrong at least they can get out of the deal after 1 year. That said I would’ve liked more of a sure thing for Sam Darnold’s sake. Alex Lewis was a bad signing IMO. The Jets like him, but he’s nothing more than a solid backup. Why pay him starter money? I think the Jets would have been aggressive for Joe Thuney, but BB outmaneuvered them per usual. Hopefully they are able to resign Robby Anderson, resign Jordan Jenkins or sign Marcus Golden, and find another guard to replace Brian Winters. Come the draft Id expect another OL in Round 1 and a combination of CB, pass rusher, and WR from there.
  9. LOL Cromartie was a good Jet. Was just thinking about him today and what a good trade it was to get him for a 2nd round pick.
  10. Logan Ryan still out there. Teams are very wary of signing older CBs. Very much a position you need to draft and develop.
  11. That 7-2 finish was completely hollow. Bad competition and had some calls go their way.
  12. These are not “splash” signings but I’d rather address a need with 3-4 guys than one guy if that makes sense. Douglas is going for solid depth guys at a position of need rather than the “splash” moves that rarely workout.
  13. Loving this off-season so far Hopefully the Jets cut Winters and sign someone younger & healthier. Either way they need to add two more OL in the draft to mix in with Edoga (last years 3rd round pick) and the veterans.
  14. 1) I will never fault a team for getting weapons for a young QB or going “all in”. 2) I will never fault a team for sitting out day1-2 in free agency. I like what the Bills are doing because they are have a roster where they are only a few players away from being good. I like what the Jets are doing because they are a lot of players away from being good.
  15. Not sure what the risk is. The Bills are going for it and right now are probably the most talented team in the division. It’s year 3 of Josh Allen! Got to get the kid some players around him before you have to pay him.
  16. When you ignore the Oline in the draft for a decade that’s what happens.
  17. I am too old to care about Day 1 of NFL free agency. Teams will regret handing out 75% of these contracts. That said I have no idea why the Jets didn’t do what it took to get DeAndre Hopkins.
  18. Joe Biden is a less politically savvy and articulate version of Hillary Clinton. The big difference being: -He’s a man -He’s a more like able figure Best case scenario if Joe is elected he’s a modern version of Gerald Ford-a steadying leader who keeps the seat warm for the next guy.
  19. Same measures have been took in Ohio, Illinois, and parts of PA. What’s the plan from keeping these business from avoiding financial ruin? Commercial real estate in NYC is 10-25K a month.
