Trump has egg on his face for publicly downplaying the threat for the past month (probably in an effort to protect the stock market). That said you are correct. This is a global problem and it was going to be nearly impossible for any administration to curtail this. Politically this is great for the dems, but it’s too big of an issue for them to create a roadblock.

Let’s not act as if George W Bush didn’t do the same things. Biden isn’t the best public speaker the world, but a lot of people do like him. He reminds me a lot of Gerald Ford.

Pretty rough start to his career and he will likely be suspended for this. NY City has the strictest gun laws in the country so he’s going to face a pretty big penalty. That said I’m not going to write the kid off yet completely. This seems more like a stupid mistake than a criminal situation. As one poster mentioned he probably forgot he had the gun in his bag, and we are talking about a kid that grew up in Alabama. Update: It appears he checked the bag and the gun was unloaded. Hoover was an awful president. The guy couldn’t even get his Supreme Court justice nominee through a senate that was majority republican (his party). Both congress and the senate realized he was in over his head very early on. He will also always be known as the guy that used federal tax dollars to bailout the banks yet refused to assist urban workers who were dying of starvation and poverty.

Since drafting Darnold in 2018 the only improvements the Jets attempted on offense was trading for Kelechi Osemele, signing LeVeon Bell, and Jamison Crowder. Osemele lasted 3 games in which he was terrible, Bell was terrible, and Crowder is a good slot receiver. The rest of the resources (#3 overall pick, cap space) supplemented the defense. The Jets are now in a situation in which they have zero starting olineman under contract in addition to their number 1 WR hitting free agency. I’m not going kill them for overpaying for OL in free agency. They need to figure out if Darnold is the answer, and they can’t surround him with rookies and scrap heap guys in year 3.

This isn’t college football. Most of these guys that hit free agency are going to whichever team is going to pay them the most. If the dollars are close then they go with the situation they are most comfortable in.

This needs to be fixed in the next CBA. These teams keep the players they really want and get draft compensation for the guys they are ok losing. Why should the Steelers and Ravens get draft picks because the Jets gave out two bad contracts? Im ok with comp picks so long as teams can’t control a players rights once his contract expires (like every other sport).

I think the league needs to do something about parody first and foremost. It’s a big problem that roughly half the league hasn’t made the playoffs in the last five years (12 teams go per year). There are teams like the Bills who haven’t hosted a playoff game since the 90s! That’s a lot of lost revenue when you compare it to other teams.

You are correct on the wall (honestly don’t remember hearing about it). It did take him four years to get it pushed through (republicans are not usually keen on these types of infrastructure spends to my belief). My point is that most of the public did not see Trump as very electable and look where he is today. Trump got elected because he brought in a lot of new voters that had sat out previous elections. I’d expect Bernie to bring in a lot of young voters that Hillary couldn’t.

I never understood the logic of cheaping out on the backup QB position. Is it not the most important position in sports? If Josh Allen gets hurt and Matt Barkley starts the majority of games in 2020 the Bills will have a lost season.

The Democrats need to start grasping the reality of a Bernie Sanders nomination. While he may not have enough delegates to win the nomination hes very likely going to have a huge lead heading into the convention. While I think Biden will likely emerge as his top challenger I don’t think he will considilate the moderate vote until more candidates drop out and by then it will be too late. Sanders is very similar to 2016 Trump in the sense that hes not the establishment choice and there are questions about his electability. At the end of the day I think there is enough hatred of Donald Trump amongs to Dems to unify their vote of Bernie, but don’t think for a second there wont be a lot of concern. The minute Bernie becomes the president elect the stock market is going to tank, and significant tax increases for anyone making over $29,000 would not be well-received amongst the middle class. That said all these politicians are more talk than substance. There is zero chance congress allows Bernie to execute his plan as proposed (look at Trumps wall).

If that’s the end for Snacks he can retire knowing he put together a hell of a career for an UDFA. The Jets 100% should have re-signed him instead of Mo Wilkerson in 2016. Personality-wise I think Snacks got a “Locker Room Lawyer” rep at the end of his career which probably hurts him in free agency.

Her meltdown tonight when Mayor Pete criticized her about the Mexican President really turned me off. You can’t be thinned skin like that when going up against Trump.

I think Diggs is a great fit for the Bills, and hes actually got a very team friendly deal considering Robby Anderson is probably going to get more than him on the open market. He reminds me a lot of Laverneous Coles as guy who is tough as nails and can make that tough catch over the middle. Sure you can argue that the Bills could keep their 2nd round pick and and draft someone in a deep WR class, but its a big year for Allen and you cant go wrong with adding a proven weapon still in the prime of his career.

That’s what the Vikings get for stealing Anthony Barr from the Jets (a player they did not need and should not have paid). Now they have to trade an essential piece to their offense because they are in cap hell.

I understand your point, but folks forget Mahomes is still a very young player. Think about how much better Russell Wilson got over the years-its scary to think about how good that kid could be.
