  1. Im honestly pretty thankful for tua…he’s a pretty good qb in a great system that will probably be a stat monster that they won’t really be able to move on from. if the dolphins had a great qb that could go through progressions and use the whole field more consistently they’d be a Super Bowl front runner every year
  2. Even with the 4 turnovers they had a lot go their way…that Wilson catch was ridiculous
  3. How the f are you gonna trot a guy out there that never hits from 50+ when you’ve got a 4th and 3 to win the game…might work out for the dolphins anyway but woof was that a strange decision
  4. So much of the dolphins offense is quick timing based throws though…snow could def effect them negatively id think. The ball is out so fast on every play
  5. I’m hopin we can disguise our zones well enough to throw the timing off a little bit at least…guess we’ll find out in a few weeks. Looks like he 100% knows where the ball is going based on pre snap looks just about every snap
  6. It’s an effective gimmick though…just gotta clamp down in the red zone
  7. Almost did that too fast lol 3 minute drive there and a td and the game is over. It’s verrrry likely over anyway so that is just splitting hairs at this point
  8. It’s his first read every time…they’re gonna end up givin the dude a huge deal and I feel like most competent veterans can do what he’s doing with the dolphins roster
  9. I don’t even know how unless you’re gonna try to press…tua is getting the ball out pretty much instantly
  10. I think teams know their shtick is going to be considerably less effective with the back of the end zone as a defender so it doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to try to press their receivers or anything. If you try to press tyreek and whiff it’s a free 7 points I’d rather make them work for it. tonight’s kind of a perfect example, they’ve gone up and down the field all night and if the pats had a lick of competent offense it would be a close game
  11. They also have developed another trend of getting whooped by the browns seeming every time lol can’t imagine giving a qb big money that gets absolutely owned by a division rival.
  12. Hopefully it translates when he sees a defense like the jets again…I’m sure he never felt like he had to force anything in this one lol all the underneath stuff/the running game was working today but the jets were all over both those things and it seemed to psych josh out a bit.
  13. Their oline and wrs are sure in decline lol
  14. Think he just faced two real tough defenses in a row in cincy and NYJ
  15. Seemed like they held up pretty well on that 3rd down play 🤷‍♂️
  16. Agree to disagree I guess…route looked far from average to me. Throw was off target though no question…wouldn’t disagree with that at all. I’m not trying to put all the blame on Davis by any means…this all came up in the context of ‘josh stared him down which caused the int’
  17. I mean that first part was a bit of a joke I don’t think it was worthy of a good grief 😂. But the point is he predominantly runs go routes when you look at the season statistics and easily could have sold one there had he put in any amount of effort. This idea that he has run so many corner routes that it is telegraphed is a massive over exaggeration imo and cherry picking one single game route chart doesn’t prove anything. And to the pats fans original point, ‘staring down a receiver’ does not give away the route when the throw is out before he makes his break. If anything, it could further make the defense think a go route is coming. Ah yes that was brown you are correct. Either way davis’ terrible route last night reminded me of that. It is objectively an issue with Davis that has cropped up quite a few times but I definitely misidentified him on that play for which I apologize.
  18. Maybe this is a philosophical thing that I differ in, but giving up yards in the middle of the field doesn’t matter a whole lot if you’re tightening things up on your side of the field. Seemed to be the case last night. Kincaid looked good last night to me…he was open all night and on the field a ton. 55 snaps and 38 routes. Not his fault joshs brain somehow disintegrated at halftime. Gotta completely disagree with you on that one. Wouldn’t disagree about elam though I’m assuming they thought he was coachable to be a scheme fit but it may not have worked out
  19. I’m too dumb to know how to add pics here haha but cover 1 has his route percentage at nine route 19% of the time and corner 5.6%, post 15.3% for last season. Shouldn’t have been too hard for him to sell a go route there he just made absolutely zero effort. Kind of reminds me of that last play against the ravens a few years back where he ran a very much uncrisp slant route and couldn’t beat the single coverage not sure a route chart from one individual game from 2022 is all the jets are lookin at lol
  20. Idk gabe seems like he’s almost always running gos to me lol maybe that’s anecdotal and I only pay attention to him when he’s running deep though
  21. Gabe is wide open if he runs a crisp route there literally for the reasons you mentioned earlier in the post lol other teams have seen the movie before and he’s usually running a ton of go routes. Probably the laziest route I’ve ever seen. Still an off target throw though
  22. Lol I’m not objecting to them being bad decisions but I think looking off the receiver was low on the list of problems with those two deep ones 😂 the pick to gabe was a horrendous route…the safety knew exactly where gabe was going from the snap...I don’t think any amount of looking off changes that one. I’m fine with that read though
