  1. They do they just turned it over a bunch of times a few games in a row
  2. Middle of the field all day when edmunds isn’t in
  3. Gonna be interesting to hear how the dolphins are talked about if they start struggling in that tough stretch of schedule they have comin up. They’re almost undoubtedly gonna get to 8-3 but they could easily lose 3 in a row after that with @SF @LAC @BUF GB comin up. I’d be shocked if they do better than 2-2 through that seems fairly possible that even if they sweep us they could finish a loss behind they really didn’t look very good in the half against cincy where tua played, against buffalo, or through most of the ravens game until humphrey got hurt again and the floodgates opened Really weird the way their schedule worked out…they had their 5 easy games all in a row then 4 of their harder/hardest games are in a row after that.
  4. Idk what game I saw this in but someone kicked it very high and short of the end zone in that situation and the offense started on the 6. Id take that over an onside attempt which is 90% recovered by the kicking team
  5. I’m sure this has been asked before but…in the middle of the playoff hunt they’re not gonna go with Flacco? seems like more of a 1 game benching punishment type thing than ‘we’re trying to do what’s gonna help our team win games’ thing
  6. If 154 is too much, the pats gave up 355 passing yards in the first jets matchup 😂 and if we want to start factoring in garbage time, the bills gave up a heck of a lot less yards against the browns lol
  7. You can say the same thing about the pats defense though…arguably the best qb they’ve seen in the last 5 weeks is brissett. they’ve faced: brissett fields wilson ehlinger wilson throw in a game against the Steelers earlier in the season too Packers scored 27 on them, Lamar and fields torched them. Tua had a good game against them. They are beating up on awful offenses mostly. the shutout against Detroit is nice but belichick has had goffs number his whole career pretty much so I’m not sure how much that defensive effort applies to other teams even if you want to go back to last year you can say the same thing about the pats defense that you’re saying about the bills. They beat up on bottom feeders on the easy afc east schedule and then got absolutely smoked by the playoff caliber afc teams down the stretch id argue the pats scheme is even more likely to beat up on bad teams and struggle against good ones
  8. Our defense is absolutely decimated by injuries…all the jets did was pick on our backup lbs. even so he only threw for 150 yards zach Wilson threw for 355 the first matchup with the pats
  9. I did find the wording interesting from his agent originally…he said something like Micah won’t be playing until 2023 but he didn’t follow that up with the word ‘season’
  10. Interesting…I wonder if their methodology is broken down in detail somewhere. Missing edmunds or Milano and having to roll with Bernard should be worth 1,000 banged up points lol
  11. Does that factor in how impactful each injury is? Or just a total number of injuries? We may not have the most injuries overall but they are always in the worst areas somehow
  12. Mostly josh huh? Guess we saw that game differently lol considering the constant pressure he was under every play in the second half since we were missing 5 offensive linemen I really think that was one of the best efforts of his career. I can’t fault people for focusing on that late td he missed though so this is more of a ‘respectfully disagree’ situation 😂 something like the jets game I’d feel better saying ‘josh cost us this one’
  13. Daboll also faced an absolute joke of a schedule last year which I don’t see talked about too much. Crazy this team which is about half as healthy as the team last year playing a schedule that’s twice as hard is likely going to win one more game or possibly even two
  14. I can’t help but think the ‘patience’ issue and ‘inability to punch it in the end zone in a goal to go’ situation are directly linked. seems like we are more proficient scoring tds in the 10-20 yard line area of the red zone than the 0-10. If we can get better on the offensive line like we did late last season everything is gonna fall into place imo
  15. I don’t think it’s been as poor as it appears though. The coverage was actually surprisingly good the last two weeks considering how many yards were allowed. We just ran into Jefferson having the game of his life then jacoby brissett having the game of his life. I’ve never seen him thread passes into tight coverage like that. I don’t even think Goff is capable of that but we’ll see lol i have admittedly not seen many lions games this year but I’d assume it’s more the lions scheming receivers open than Goff dropping dimes into tight coverage and his receivers making contested catches If edmunds plays the game won’t even be remotely close but it sounds like he won’t be playing. That means the lions can be pretty effective by just picking on Dodson/Bernard all day
  16. Td is literally impossible on that play…kicking team can’t advance it. Browns were gonna have to recover the onside kick then go 60ish yards with no timeouts in 19 seconds and come up with the two point conversion just to tie the game. wayyy less likely to happen than that goal line fumble against the Vikings and even that was extremely unlikely Idk if people just don’t know that rule or what but this game wasn’t even remotely close. Being disappointed about beating arguably the best team in the trenches and the 4th ranked offense by 8 points due to 2 late garbage time tds doesn’t make a lot of sense to me
  17. I really wonder if they’re gonna pull a Flores dolphins and start giving Flacco some snaps late in games if things aren’t going well. I am nearly certain Flacco would’ve beaten the pats Sunday Vikings are a very lucky team…got the dolphins without tua and the bills missing a ton of defensive players. If edmunds didn’t go down we would’ve won that game easily They’re a 6-4 team cosplaying as an 8-2 team 😂
  18. Can we stop pretending that McDermott is the only coach that claps during football games lol
  19. I wouldn’t trust petersons yappin too much lol gabe Davis had him beat on that post route he was talking about and he knows it. Josh just threw a terrible ball. 99% of the time that is a td or an incompletion but josh missed the throw so badly that he threw Peterson right back into the play. vikings defense was absolutely embarrassing to close out regulation and in ot it’s a shame josh missed that throw so badly. It was pretty surreal listening to them talk about their elite preparation after that game 😂. They left just about everything open on that final play but the decoy post route that we wanted them to cover haha the problem with gabe doesn’t seem to be the route running to me…he gets open plenty he just is dropping too many passes and not making enough contested catches
  20. That NE defense reminds me of us last year at least statistically. They’re good but I don’t think they’re as good as they are on the stat sheet. The guy we just beat that we seem to be givin ourselves no credit for (Jacoby brissett) is probably the best qb they’ve seen in their last 5 games: jacoby brissett justin fields zach wilson sam ehlinger zach Wilson dual threat qbs seem to be giving them a lot of trouble which seems like a bright spot for us…they really struggled against fields and Lamar
  21. Lol I misspoke…I meant we actually get to practice as much as the other team
  22. I will be surprised if that isn’t the plan…he’s learning an offense with totally different verbiage than the system he was in previously and it’s much more difficult to just come right in and play right away than someone like Jeff Wilson
  23. People seem to be confusing 2021 Beasley with 2020 Beasley quite often around here
  24. The 1 seed is seeming less important than it originally appeared with some of the best rosters in the AFC on paper in the preseason being total flops. Chargers, broncos, colts, will likely all not make the playoffs. (Two of those definitely will miss 😂). Someone like the pats or jets is gonna sneak in as the 7 seed If we can win the division (definitely not guaranteed at this point) we’ve got tiebreakers over Tennessee and baltimore for seeding purposes and we wouldn’t see kc until the afc championship. Tennessee gave the chiefs serious issues last time even with Malik Willis playing terribly so there’s no guarantee the chiefs roll right into the afc championship game.
  25. The nfl is the ultimate overreaction sport because there’s only one game each week 😂. The Vikings were crowned ‘definitely a contender’ after getting objectively pretty lucky against us and the cowboys were written off after losing to the packers then look what happened the next week lol i do love the ‘we’re doomed if we have to go to kc’ talk when we were a defensive meltdown/unlucky coin flip away from being 3-0 in our last 3 at arrowhead
