Do You Think the Old Bills Players Reacted Like Fans ?
Ray Stonada replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In some article recently, didn't Thurman mention the group chat the 90s guys have, that goes nuts during this team's games, and he also said Bruce Smith keeps calling him during games without much to say but very excited. One of the cool things about the current Bills is how the 90s team seems to love and root for them... I think they're on the magical ride with the rest of us! -
Welcome to the AFC championship game, everyone... I sat in the endzone for the last one, 26 years ago. Thurman ran for 186 yards and 3 touchdowns, and Bruce Smith sacked Montana to end the threat against... Kansas City! GO BUFFALO

Bills Offense versus Elite Defenses
Ray Stonada replied to hondo in seattle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Feels like everyone nationally is picking the Ravens. I like it. They’re gonna have to learn the hard way... We are gonna roll. I can feel it in the air. They can not stop DIGGS, and Allen is shredding everyone elite defenses included. We have no fear of this defense or any defense. We will elevate and they can't match it. -
Leslie Frazier interviewing for Texans job
Ray Stonada replied to BillsMafi$'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
About age, 61 is not that old these days. He's got potentially 10-15 years of coaching left. Marv certainly did an incredible job in his 60s (on his second go round). Andy Reid is 62 or 63 I think and on his second go round and is doing pretty well too. (And of course, Belichick got a second chance and now he's getting a medal for cheating his way to the top.) -
Playoff Game Postgame Thread
Ray Stonada replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The first Bills playoff game I watched was in 1988. This was the worst nail biting of any game. 60 minutes of terrible uncertainty. But, we're a team of destiny now. I firmly believe that. The fans might be mostly dead of heart attacks and aneurysms but a few will see the Bills holding the Lombardi trophy -
Round 1 Playoff: Colts at Bills - Sat. 1/9 1:05pm

Wow. Reid Ferguson is AWESOME. -
We live in Germany so the game is at 7pm (all the late games have been tough, setting the alarm for 2:30am). We're frying wings (my sauce: big bottle of Frank's, melted butter, some tabasco and a little apple cider vinegar), and making loaded nachos, with guac, black beans, chorizo, cheese, salsa fresca, sour cream. Might do a plate of ham and cheese subs too. A shot of tequila at kickoff. Setting up the whole living room as a sports den with projector, couch, mini-fridge for beer, buffet table, etc.

Based on the Phins game, I'd say Beasley won't play against the Colts. Daboll and Josh were trying to get Smoke back in rhythm to get ready for the playoffs, sure, but we were clearly also trying to get McKenzie and Gabe going. That seemed to be our MAIN priority in the game, from an offensive standpoint. Why would we do this? Maybe because we know Bease is not likely to play against the Colts, and we wanted to shore up our number 3 receiver (Gabe, who'd been slumping) and our backup slot (McKenzie).

Which team is Joe Montana is rooting for?

Whoops! I didn't remember that... -

I was at that AFC championship at Rich. Watched Bruce Smith knock Montana out of his last NFL game. Thurman's 186 or so yards... we chanted Thurman, Thurman, Thurman when he scored his 3rd touchdown. Ah, memories that don't fade for life! -
Josh Allen vs. Russel Wilson Year 2
Ray Stonada replied to warrior9's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Funny thought: not only are Josh's stats close to RW's, but close to the first three years of Tom Brady as a starter, if you go by rating, which combines the other things: both are about an 85 rating. And Josh adds the great rushing numbers. And Brady was protected by a very friendly scheme full of easy throws like dump offs and screens. Like Brady, I think Josh can emerge into a greater form once he has more weapons and more experience. -
You sound like Jerry Sullivan.

Titans used Bills defense as blueprint to stop Ravens
Ray Stonada replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Both Titans touchdown catches were great, great plays... plays that make the difference between winning and losing playoff games. It's scary/inspiring how little it all comes down to. -
Mahomes will be pumped this time around. Overlooked team considering how hot they were last year and how well they're now playing. Sammy is playing better for them than he ever did for us. Tyreek is obviously money, but Hardman and Robinson are underrated too. Chiefs 34-17.

We have tons of fans not just all over the country, but all over the world. I saw someone in the same Bills winter hat I've had since I was 15, walking down the street in Berlin. I've seen people wearing Bills gear in Sydney. If we can win a Super Bowl or two in this era we will unite all the 40somethings and over who remember Thurman, Jimbo, Bruce, Andre, Biscuit, etc., with younger people and be a legendary team... the wagons will be totally circled... let's get this DONE!
