  1. Luckily, Josh does play on the level of Mahomes. And like Mahomes, he goes through 3-4 game slumps sometimes, where he loses a bit of confidence and we lose a couple close games. And then he goes back to being a crazy clutch creature.
  2. Agree with this, OP. Did people not see KC, with nowhere near as much adversity, struggling and needing a last second miracle drive from Mahomes and Kelce to beat the effing Chargers last week? Out 6 starters, after a blizzard and second game in five days, we need a last minute drive to beat a hot Lions team and it's not good enough? Also, I find it hilarious how many people think they know better than NFL coaches how to design an offensive and defensive plays for pro football.
  3. Gracias! This victory deserves Argentinian steak I feel so relieved right now. Our season can turn on this moment.
  4. This game could mean everything to the Bills. We could well look back at this as a huge turning point. And if this is that hinge moment, it will be Diggs, who is most responsible.
  5. The last three weeks now, it’s Diggs who has been fired up, when the chips are down. Josh is suffering with his elbow (I think it’s way worse than he says), and you see it on his face. But Diggs won’t let the Bills fold. I think it has been true for a while, since Buffalo got him, actually, but this game was the clearest proof of it. The guy is in it to win it and he infects everyone around him with that fire. THANKS STEF. YOU ARE HIM.
  6. If Micah and Tre are back in the playoffs, we could be poised to go on the run of all runs... Suddenly the band back together!
  7. Back to our second home field to take care of business!
  8. Snow or no snow, Lake Erie is wild in November. Huge, crazy waves, scary conditions after early October.
  9. The Bills could just stay in their hotel Sunday to Thursday. Be a bonding experience.
  10. Rick Astley would be proud
  11. Oh my GOD, man.
  12. Summary: Josh is having a home theater built and it's almost ready. He said he's feeling good, can't complain. First movie he'll watch will be Top Gun Maverick. Kyle told Josh his son Calvin still thinks he is the best player in football. Josh said he appreciates that. They watched Von Miller's remarks about how excited he is to turn this thing around, how he hopes teams will thing they are done, so they can surprise them. Josh said he's a first ballot Hall of Famer, and they've watched the film, they saw what went wrong, and now it's time to hit the practice field and fix things. The Bills are moving on, it sucks to be 6-3 and to have lost two in a row, but they are looking to next week. Josh described his process, you go in and talk through the game on Mondays, and it's never as bad as you think and never as good as you think when you watch the film. The Bills haven't gotten into a rhythm in the second half the last few weeks, but they will work like hell. And they don't want to not face adversity, they want to grind. Kyle asked about the fumbled snap on the goal line. Josh said they were running a push dog, the ball slipped away, Gabe didn't know the ball was on the ground, and it got away. He likes that they still had a great 2 minute drill after that to tie the game. Josh seemed more tense and more intense than usual but slowly he loosened up a little. He mentioned the Bills are not a bad team, but they've been hurting themselves a lot. (So true.) They have to clean that up. Kyle asked if he reads the criticism after losses and Josh said he tries to block it all out, negative and positive, after wins or losses. He's trying to be the best quarterback he can be for the team, and do the job as well as he can. Josh said last Monday the doctors were pretty pessimistic that he could play. But he said he was optimistic, he grinded hard, spent countless hours rehabbing, and in the hyperbaric chamber, but it was his goal and he made it. Josh is not into Stranger Things, but he knows Myles Garrett dressed up as someone from it--Vecna, says Kyle. Josh considers Thanksgiving one of his top 2 holidays, after Christmas. His favorite thing to do is give gifts, and then he loves mashed potatoes and gravy. He said he gets asked what he wants for Christmas all the time, by his teammates and his family (I noticed he didn't mention Brittany), and he doesn't really want anything. He likes giving gifts, not receiving them. Kyle watched Vision Quest (McDermott's favorite movie), it's about the darkest, weirdest high school kid who wants to wrestle. Josh (who didn't watch it) said he'll tell McDermott Kyle's review. For next week, he will watch Planes, Trains and Automobiles for next week.
  13. Josh is coming on in 5 minutes to discuss Vikings loss:
  14. Agreed. The 90s Bills benefitted from an amazing rushing attack with Thurman, Kenny Davis, Darick Holmes, etc. The rushed for 341 yards in a playoff game once! But when the issue of running the ball comes up, come people say the Pats with Brady, from 2007 on, didn't run much at all and had huge success without a running attack. Do you think that's true?
  15. Impatient 13-4
  16. Exactly. On that drive they should have come out with two backs and one or two tight ends, and run it down their throats. Two or three first downs and we win, nice and easy. Maybe one play action to convert a first. Ugh. You can tell Dorsey was a QB.
  17. Is it possible for there to be friction between Josh and other players or the coaches? That they want him to take the checkdowns and play it safe and he won't seem to do it? Similar to last year mid-season, it doesn't seem like they have that joy that they used to play with.
  18. The Bills could lose to the Browns AND the Lions, be 6-5 and still win the Super Bowl. You never know when a team will get it together and get some bounces, go on a run. No one knows who will make it to the playoffs in week 10. That's why they play the games.
  19. The BIlls desperately, desperately need more offensive plays that don't involve Allen doing something difficult. It may have been a blessing if Keenum had played this game, forcing Buffalo to run counters, off tackle out of heavy sets, jet sweeps, screens, all the things that teams do to divert pressure from their QBs. Worst that could have happened was a loss, which happened anyway. Under Daboll, we would also run trick plays to score TDs in the red zone. Maybe a little too much, but Daboll at least understood that the downfield passing attack doesn't work as well when compressed near the red zone. Meanwhile, even inside the 5 yd line, Dorsey has the Bills just lining up in the shotgun with three wideouts and asking Allen to solve a tough puzzle, over and over.
  20. BEST CATCH YOU WILL EVER SEE
  21. LET'S GO BUFFALO GREAT FIRST HALF!!!
  22. INCREDIBLE DRIVE. Maybe the negative Nancys will shut up for a little while?
