  1. I read they are sitting Mahomes for this game. No injury, just that it doesn't affect their seeding. Looks like KC has the 5th seed locked. *3rd seed
  2. Looks like Mahomes streak is going to come to an end on Sunday, leaving just Josh as a starting QB every game since 2021.
  3. I thought we were on the cusp of seeing an offensive identity that had Diggs/Kincaid/Shakir/Cook as the passing focal points with some Knox and Davis. I hope we go back to it.
  4. It requires reallocating the cap spending. Shed some defensive spending in Tre and probably Po along with jettisoning Sherfield. IMO the WR hole is too important to hope a rookie can fill it. I believe there was real interest in the FO for OBJ and DHop but they dropped out at a certain price point. I wish they had been more aggressive and got one. I wonder if Beane feels the same way. My hope is a veteran WR for a 2 yr deal (to overlap Diggs) and get a rookie WR for the future. There are some good veterans DHop and M Evans. This should be the big FA spend.
  5. Generally the draft is for the future and Free Agency (FA) is for the immediate concerns. I'm hoping the FO ponies up for M Evans and then drafts a WR early for the future.
  6. Don't tell anyone.
  7. Next thing you know they'll be telling us Diggs isn't 100%.
  8. Didn't we win the last 4 games, so how much better position would we be in?
  9. Done right, our SB window has another 7-10 years. Drafting Kincaid is right in line with that strategy, he looks like a good one. I'd like to see more out of Kincaid this year when he gets healthy. I think he should be the number 2 passing target.
  10. Instant gratification, of course. Want the Mac Jones with his flashy rookie season instead of JA17? The draft is for the future. We did once pick the player (JA17) who is going to have the crazy, awesome career! I too would like more from DK2 but I think much like Diggs, DK2 is playing through an injury. The plan may have been to use him sparingly until he heals. On the positive side DK2's hands look great, he is fluid, and the future looks bright.
  11. If you're going to go all negative nancy and try and figure "The not so far fetched way the Bills can miss the playoffs", it really should be the Bills lose the next two games. I don't like thinking about it, and don't like to go there but that is your most likely way to keep us out. If you assume the Bills beat the Pats on Sunday the odds are better the Bills can get the 2 seed than they are they will miss the playoffs.
  12. At this point I think I'd be rooting for Fins in the playoffs through to having them come up to Buffalo. So far, the Bills routinely crush the Fins. Colts @ Bills Browns @ Bills Fins @ Bills
  13. What? How soon we forget. Cook fumbled three times vs Denver, two that were recovered by Denver. That's a problem. Cook has lost the ball with fumbles on his first touch in a game twice so far (the Rams + Denver). In a little over 30 games he's done it twice. That is a record for anyone with over 30 games. Ball security has been an issue with Cook from day 1 and remains an issue today. He's not a big or strong guy who now has a reputation for putting the ball on the ground - he should know defenses are coming to take the ball away from him, but at times it doesn't seem like he gets the message (like Denver).
  14. Harty has fielded the punts well- no muffs. I believe this was his first fumble and it was on the return. Harty wasn't worth the money but I at least trust him to catch the punt. Harty's fumble was a fluke. Lets not compare him to Cook. Cook is pretty much the opposite situation. Cook is a good valuable player who however, has very real ball security issues.
  15. I feel so much better with the win! I would have been in a terrible, depressed mood through Christmas had we lost. Now I can watch the other football games with a lot of interest and in a good mood. On another note I didn't feel bad about this win at all until reading the negativity on this board. I didn't view this as the Bills getting lucky, I thought they won despite facing an unusual amount of adversity. The Bills overcame several tick tacky calls - one that negated the first interception and one that took away a nice gainer and pinned them back. They turned it over more than they should/usually do. Yet they still won. My view of the Bills as an incredibly dangerous team has not changed. I am hooked.
  16. Yes, the 3 seed looks quite possible but would you really prefer it over the 4 seed? Both would get home playoff games for the first round but if form held up the 3 seeds second game would be in KC while the 4 seed game would be in Balt.
  17. Thanks for stepping in and keeping this alive. J Allen is #103 now in passing yards, which should be your lead (since the OP is about passing yards). Today Josh can reasonably make a claim for spot 100! Needs a little over 200 yards to pass Danny White, J Winston, and Carson Wentz (who both were on teams on Thursday).
  18. I disagree, You take what the defense gives you. If the Chargers saw last week and load the box to stop the run (like what Seattle did in years past) we need to make them pay through the air. A huge advantage in this game is J Allen >>> E Stick. Not a mismatch at RB, Ekeler = Cook, and Ekeler is one Charger who isn't going to quit, he's playing for a contract next year.
  19. But Ty Johnson does look injured. Can he play through it? Probably. But the odds then increase that Ty will just get more banged up as we go. The RB core we had last week won't be of the same health in the playoffs if we keep rolling out semi-injured players. This is when not having cratered depth makes a difference. You can rest and heal Ty while putting in what we think to be a near replacement level player.
  20. Would they give the Defensive players warning if it was anywhere close? I don't get that.
  21. I was personally afraid they would go back and pick up the flag. Say something like it was inconsequential to the play. That is what seemed to happen in New England - remember the illegal man downfield flag, oops never mind, although the replay showed it did occur, it seemed to be deemed to have no affect on the play. It was a big gainer for New England but on the sideline and the illegal man down field didn't have anything to do with the play. Obviously that one still burns me.
  22. No, Diggs is not done. IMO, he is playing through an injury which happens. May need the same thing next week, having a hurt Diggs will still draw Gilmore. Diggs hasn't been getting the calls IMO. Looks like several times he got mugged. There have been more drops from him than usual. And the drop at 2:12 is borderline inexcusable. I do like that he is being quiet. Don't give excuses. Don't get caught up in controversy. Stay quiet let your rejuvenated play the last few weeks and into playoffs say what is needed. As mentioned his play may not stand out against Dallas but he should be getting more calls at home.
  23. It may not have worked. But it seemed like a reasonable call. A very safe pass with a high reception percentage to a veteran trusted player. Might not have given them a lot of yards but reasonable to think it would have been caught and run the clock to the 2 min warning. And to me, i don't think run would have netted any yards.
  24. So, you wanted them to get incredibly conservative with over 2 minutes left in a tied game. That's one approach.
  25. I don't think you or the guy you are responding to understand what they were trying to do. With 2:12 left Brady felt KC would be stuffing the line for the run, he called an incredibly save pass play to one of our better steadier playmakers, Diggs. 95% of times that is caught. 65% of the time in that instance Diggs would have gained about 7-8 yards and the clock would have gone to 2:00. From there we would have run the ball to try and pick up the 1st. If successful then the we would have played the time game. Once that high percentage passed was dropped the whole complexion of the end of game strategy changed. Brady wanted the TD. KC was going to have time either way. The TD attempts were more valuable than the difference in amount of time KC would have.
