Might be a little early, but if it's chilly, hide your 6 yr old in your coat. If they try to pat your belly, scream fat-shaming comments.

Yep. 2006 was right after the Lockout year. To get the fans back, the league implemented the strict penalty era. Everything was called. I think they put the shootout in that year as well. Teams that were built with skill and speed excelled. when the playoffs started, the penalties dropped, but it was still tightly officiated. Within 2-3 years, however, the slippery-slope affect kicked in and penalties started dropping. The playoffs started turning into what we have now. Or old school hockey like 3-4 decades ago. The clutching and grabbing is rarely called. I've been saying for some time now...you shouldn't build teams for the regular season. You have to build for the playoffs with a good amount of size and toughness, particularly on defense. The playoffs are when the skill players start disappearing to some degree. I think the Florida Panthers are a prime example.

How much has your life changed since you first logged in?

You have a van? -
For me, there's no team in the west I want to lose more than Dallas. They just have to be out. With the Sabres not making the playoffs for so long, my NHL playoff thing is to watch the Bruins, Stars and to a lesser extent, the Rangers, get bumped out. I'm fairly indifferent about the rest of the teams. So I'm down to 1.

What a POS. 2007 Nissan XTerra 4WD. Got a great deal. Best vehicle so far. 2012 Scion. Bought for my wife. Now I drive it. No wife. Epilogue: Wanted a new truck for the last few years. Almost bought one during Covid when prices plummeted. I thought to myself, 'I'll wait a bit. I'm sure the prices will be good for awhile'.

Which Bills players are “Make-It or Break-It” for 2023?
Fleezoid replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall
Ed Oliver and Spencer Brown. Plus, every player that signed a one-year deal, which is about half the team. -
It looks like it's come to this....

Commercialized is a problem, but there's a bigger issue IMO. The fact that it's steamrolling Thanksgiving, and even Halloween to a small degree, in to a 3-month holiday is the most recent problem. I'd like to propose a referendum to limit all Christmas related activities to 12 days. Just like the carol. While I'm at it, if I see that Hershey Kiss, "Wish you a Merry Christmas "commercial one more time, I'm going postal on my TV. At least be creative with new advertising. They just mail it in every year. Bah Humbug!!

Wow. That guy wasn't trying to kill himself. He's just a whiny little twerp. "Pointer said he had tried to kill himself recently with rat poison and with a gun, sources said." If you're really trying to kill yourself, you don't fail with either of those. Maybe the rat poison, but a gun? C'mon......boom, your dead!
