  1. For all the talk about Edmunds and his ability to play the pass, he was targeted and abused by the better QB's in this league...mostly because he has poor awareness/instincts. That was partly why our defense wasn't as good in the playoffs. When we faced the top QB's, their eyes lit up when they saw Edmunds in coverage
  2. So don't run for an easy first down, but call a designed run. Logic
  3. I don't agree with much from this poster, but I do believe that Allen has gone as far as he can go under this current regime. He needs a coaching staff that will help him get over the hump, not for him to prop them up. Allen is the reason McDermott still has a job as the HC of the Bills
  4. Sure, it's a solid plan to build a team meant to sustain success over an extended period of time...I will agree with you on this point. What I will disagree with is the notion that myself or anyone else should be called names because we would like to see a strive for greatness and not being accepting of a lower standard...whether that standard is solid or above solid, for that matter. And telling a lifelong Bills fan that they should switch teams insinuating that someone like me is a bandwagon fan is also something that I personally find insulting and not how a fellow member of this community should conduct themselves.
  5. This is simply you saying something as if it's true with zero evidence to back your claim He's actually shown to be more likely to fail in the biggest moments than to succeed, so if we were to put his chances at winning it all, it would have to be less than 50%
  6. Failed to meet expectations two straight years, and were embarrassed on their home field last season says otherwise
  7. Amazing how you can under perform in the playoffs year after year, and get rewarded for it. I guess management is similar to many fans, and they are simply content not being the old Bills that were never a threat to even make the playoffs
  8. What is the obsession with Edmunds? One of the least instinctive linebackers I've ever seen man the middle. Letting him walk will prove to be the wiser choice. I think it would have been for letting Oliver walk, too
  9. Edmunds and Oliver are both supremely physically gifted players, but lack the instincts to fulfill their potential. He can walk after the season like Tremaine. Not worth the money
  10. Very possible I hope not, and this season should settle it once and for all
  11. I have been saying this for years, and I'll make the point again Edmunds was a piss poor instinctive player. He had great physical tools, but no actual football instincts. A player like Dorian Williams will look fantastic in our defense if he truly is instinctive and has good recognition.
  12. They will want to trade back, but no team will be willing to.
  13. Regular season is meaningless once the playoffs are set The Bills were one of the worst teams in the playoffs last season
  14. Seomalu was part of a line with arguably the best C and RT in football, and a very good LG. They also had a running QB and were a run heavy team. As someone in tune with the Eagles due to my location, this guy may very well have been a product of the system and the talent around him. I believe the Eagles didn't try to hold onto him in part to that belief. I wouldn't have paid him as a top flight IOL based off of what was really one standout season, and it appears many other teams had the same reservations. Time will ultimately tell, but I think there was enough there to pump the brakes on the guy
  15. This kid has all the tools. What he lacks is strength, which is easily fixable...especially with a very coachable and hard working kid, which is what his interviews and tape indicate. I would be thrilled if we picked him
  16. A RT in the first would be an awful pick You trade down if that's who you have targeted at our pick
  17. Peter Schrager is the epitome of a no talent chump who probably never played a sport in his life. Bonnetta is also awful, and they already employed a hotter and better woman in Cynthia Freuland I haven't watched ESPN in about two years, but there isn't one person I can think of that I would miss on that network
  18. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2023/03/27/report-deandre-hopkins-receives-permission-from-cardinals-to-seek-trade/ Cardinals receiver DeAndre Hopkins continues to be the focal point of trade talk. He now has permission to talk to other teams. Via Albert Breer of SI.com, Hopkins has received permission to shop his contract elsewhere. Hopkins has a non-guaranteed compensation package of $19.45 million in 2023. He turns 31 on June 6. Hopkins, who not long ago was the highest-paid receiver in the NFL, has slipped as the market exploded. And while the market will still generate major dollars for the best of the best, the availability of young, healthy receivers makes it hard to justify giving significant dollars to aging players with injury issues and, in Hopkins’s case, a six-game PED suspension last year. Even though he insists he didn’t intentionally consume performance-enhancing drugs, the positive test happened. The suspension happened. Although Hopkins’ salary isn’t guaranteed, the Cardinals may have to pay some of it to facilitate a trade. If they can’t find a taker, they need to ask whether to carry a $30.75 million cap number to keep him on the team — or to cut him, at a cap charge of $22.6 million. After June 1 (or with a post-June 1 move now), the Cardinals could split the cap hit over two years, $11.3 million in 2023 and $11.3 million in 2024. For now, the Cardinals prefer to unload the contract while also getting value. To get value, they may have to pay some salary. For a new team, the challenge may be figuring out a contract that makes Hopkins happy. Part of this process may result in Hopkins realizing the numbers won’t quite be where he thought they’d be.
  19. What we should be doing is looking to deal Gabe Davis if we are bringing in Hopkins. That would clearly indicate that we will be moving on from him, and there won't be a lot of targets to go around after Dhop and Diggs...so package him if that's what it takes.
  20. He already did. His stubbornness has already cost him tens of millions of dollars. There's no telling how much this will end up costing him by the time he gets his new deal
  21. Under the radar being behind Hill and Waddle Slot receiver that has shown some ability Good pickup
  22. Not a good indicator of his abilities if you actually payed attention to the Bucs last season. Their line was decimated for basically the entire year, and Fournette was very productive as a pass catcher. Fournette to me looked fine to me, and in a better situation I could see him having a very good year. He's a no brainer if the price is reasonable
  23. Get over this dude already He was an ok player with freakish skills, but a low football IQ. His value is overstated, and I believe we are better suited with a player that has real instincts at MLB instead of an athletic specimen.
  24. Not a good player, and is a major health risk I'd wish him well and let him know that we will be releasing him
