  1. I've always questioned how good a coach he was, and his in game adjustments and decisions haven't led me to think any differently...even now. I want him to be an elite coach more than I can put into words, but wishing won't make it so. Hopefully he evolves this season
  2. The Rams are no powerhouse. I think they were lucky to get a Bengals team that really shouldn't have beat the Chiefs (due to us taking everything out of them the week prior). I can't see the Bills losing against them unless Donald wrecks the game. We are superior in nearly every level based on talent
  3. It's all on the coaching...if you ask me. I am not sold on McDermott as a championship caliber coach Let's hope he proves that he is this season
  4. Well...that pretty much says it all, doesn't it? LOL
  5. A few thoughts... Tre day should only return when he's ready, full stop. Levi Wallace was simply JAG that has largely benefitted from our system and coaches that get the most out of DB's. Those wishing we kept him and payed a premium for mediocre play when we can get similar from a guy like Benford that we drafted even higher than Wallace aren't being very logical. We drafted Elam who based on his college play and physical talent should do as good, if not a better job. This is how McD and the organization operates when it comes to defensive backs. They will draft and coach up at a position they feel is their strength. A first round investment and a promising sixth rounder shows they dedicated resources to help strengthen that area of need. They also invested heavily on the D line so that hopefully they take pressure off of the linebackers and secondary by generating more pressures, hurries, and sacks. We also have probably the best safety tandem helping our corners behind them, and one of the better slot corners in Taron Johnson. This isn't the major concern some are making it to be. Tre will be a great piece to add to an already great defense Once he's ready.
  6. I understand that the team did what it felt was necessary, and I do hope that the truth is found and that justice gets done. But I still can't help but wonder what it must be like for Araiza...especially if his only mistake was getting sexually involved with a 17 YO that may have been telling him and others there that she was 18.
  7. I hope the team is in contact with the league office right now seeing if they can have him put on the exempt list until more facts are gathered. This is the best case scenario by far
  8. I also think that I'm leaning towards this being the case. It also lends more credence to why the Bills are taking this on the chin right now in the media instead of just making the problem go away. They really think he just got lumped into this attack because he was at the house with her...not in it, and certainly not during the supposed attack. The timing of this suit...the fact that there's been no criminal charges...the claims of him and her being outside alone...it all says to me that they knew they had a possible payday with a pro athlete being involved with her beforehand, so they are trying to put him into the gang rape part to cash in. Now I could be totally wrong, but that's what I think from everything I've gathered since this came out
  9. Maybe Araiza didn't know either because he wasn't in that room where this took place?
  10. Well the team clearly doesn't see cutting him immediately as the "right thing" being he's still on the roster as of right now Your idea of whats right and theirs look to be two different things
  11. No...it's called putting out your side of the story since her lawyer put out a whole bunch of statements first...and many are very questionable on her lawyers part. Both lawyers have been operating questionable in the eyes of many.
  12. Stories? If the lawyer claims they have witnesses so will testify to her claiming to be eighteen, that's not "slut shaming". This is now reaching the point where I need not to respond to some of these posts
  13. Witnesses say she was saying it. That means reasonable doubt if they go the route of claiming he didn't know she was underage...which is certainly a possibility.
  14. But according to his lawyers investigators...she was telling people she was 18 YO. That changes things...but you can still go ahead and make bolded posts and be outraged if you like.
  15. So if he had sex with a drunk girl (typical college experience) and she then goes on to later go in a house and get attacked, this is a position that none of us could be put into?
  16. But you are saying people need to not put themselves into situations where they can be accused of a crime, and I'm telling you that people can throw out accusations out of the blue. I'm not debating you on whether her allegations have merit
  17. Not really, because we have his lawyer saying they have witnesses saying she was telling people she was 18. And there is a defense in that scenario where the accuser must proof beyond a reasonable doubt that he did know she was a minor. Her lying to people at the party removes reasonable doubt
  18. I agree, and I think that the organization does eventually give in to the mob and cuts ties. I think suspending him with pay until it's resolved is the best option. We have to pay him regardless...it keeps the heat off of the team, and it allows us to keep him if he is proven to have done nothing wrong...instead of a team scooping him up and then they get his services at our expense.
  19. Lots of really bad takes by many here. Guess that comes with having a mega thread where information is limited, and posters don't bother to read. I also think that a possible scenario is that this woman did have sexual relations with Araiza, but went on to later get involved in a situation where she was attacked. Being that Araiza is the meal ticket and headliner for a media frenzy, she links him to the attack and adds him into something that he was not involved with. We don't know, and unless we get more information...we are all left guessing. I'll also say it's easy to just say get rid of him and the problem, but I kinda see that as a surrender to the media and court of public opinion, instead of getting it right. I suppose it depends on what matters to the organization at this point
  20. It appears to me that the Bills are trying to get this right for everyone, and it's costing them in todays world of no patience and lack of fact gathering...just immediate reaction and demand for action. I think the best scenario for them at this point is to suspend him with pay until the organization gets all the information needed to do what they believe is right. Araiza should be thankful that the Bills are taking this on the chin for him, and he should be as cooperative and helpful to their fact finding process as possible. Most teams would have cut him. The Browns and chiefs would keep him, regardless
  21. He didn't make waves during the draft because he didn't want to lose his chance at a nice payday. Let's see what evidence comes out and if criminal charges are filed
  22. You might wanna check the law out on that one From what has been posted here from actual California law, the burden is on the prosecution if the defendant claims he didn't know she was underage. They must prove beyond a reasonable doubt that he did know Witnesses saying she was claiming to be of age blows that out of the water
