  1. Aggressiveness on defense pays off...see the Lions last Sunday against the vikings Fortune favors the bold McDermott and his defensive philosophy allows the best QB's to simply pick them apart and kill them slowly with prolonged drives All the excuses for him and the defense are gone. If they completely fold like they have done, the blame falls squarely on him
  2. Henry is absolutely the engine that drives Baltimores offense Take him out of the game, and keep Lamar in the pocket Make him beat our linebackers and secondary with his arm
  3. I have also been a supporter of not paying RB's, but a true top flight RB should at least be made a fair offer to retain Cook is on the cusp of potentially being one of those backs IMO. His smoothness as a runner is a thing of beauty, and he is also a very good pass catcher and appears to have fixed his ball security issues I would make him a fair offer. If he decides he wants to go somewhere else cause a team wants to pay a hefty price for him, then I let him walk and take the compensatory pick to draft another RB
  4. This is actually incorrect Less INT's, but more fumbles and fumbles lost. He has one more total turnover
  5. My hope is that the combination of them being healthy, coupled with rest and the fact that they haven't had to go all out for the last few weeks will pay off with a fresher and more energetic defense
  6. They will play on Saturday wild card weekend which will give them an extra day to prepare for us
  7. McDermott and his defense are destined to fail in the postseason. He is terrible against the top QB's and his coaching counterparts It's literally up to Brady and Allen to completely overwhelm the opposing defense to come out on top in a matchup against KC and maybe even Baltimore now with Henry to open things up for Lamar.
  8. NFL did Lamar and the Ravens a massive favor Fact of the matter is the almighty dollar rules the league, and they will always choose that over fairness/competitive balance If I'm McDermott, I'm using that to my advantage to fire my guys up just a bit more
  9. McDermott will put this team behind the 8 ball off the rip because if he wins the coin toss, he will choose to put the defense out there and they will likely surrender points, which is not the formula for this team to win We should be taking the ball and putting teams behind to keep them from trying to run and eating up T.O.P. I do believe we have yet to see the best from our defense, so I'm not as down on them as others are, but if they are at or close to full strength and they get steamrolled again and ruin a herculean effort from Allen, I hope McDermott faces massive backlash
  10. Beane should definitely be on the phone trying to convince him to sign with us Rumor was he was gonna sign with Philly, I think
  11. This is ridiculous It's completely within reason to have issues with McDermott and the defensive side of the ball wilting every postseason being he's a defensive minded coach that made his mark as a DC His winning percentage has more to do with Josh freaking Allen than him or his defense, and his top ten defense in 5 out of 8 years means little when they get completely manhandled when the games become do or die Good coach? Sure. Great coach. No. Josh hasn't even made a championship game despite putting up absurd numbers in numerous playoff games, and that is on McDermott and that defense you are so high on Claiming anyone who believes this as someone that has a personal issue with McDermott is a bad take, dude
  12. I was one of the bigger fans of the Mack Hollins signing here when it happened He's exactly the type of player you want on a winning team that plays for each other
  13. McDermott is also responsible for the defense that has not only failed Josh this season, but has failed him every year in the playoffs Spare me the McD praise
  14. It does happen here It didn't in LA, and the criticism was justified I think they did a better job today and Detroit is the top offense in the league with an elite OC and 10 days to plan for a home game against us
  15. Detroit is the number 1 offense in the league that had 10 days off for a home game Bills did enough on D to stop Detroit from being able to run the ball down our throat and keep Josh off the field I'll take it
  16. It appears that Rasul has returned to his pre Green Bay form where he was awful as an Eagle At least we can walk away after the season
  17. McDermott makes them more than the other top coaches, and even more importantly, his defense (which is supposed to be his specialty) has failed spectacularly every year in the playoffs The excuses for McDermott are wearing thin as he is losing games where Allen goes god mode and shouldn't lose. This can no longer be ignored/defended If it happens again this playoffs...expect a ton of criticism from not just the media, but the fanbase as well because we can't keep wasting years of Allen due to coaching and defensive failures
  18. It's already justified and rational due to the previous defensive collapses in previous seasons in the biggest moments, including the playoffs
  19. He was playing with Hill and Waddle Dude is cooked
  20. Hamlin does stink Douglas stunk last week Rapp does injure himself and his teammates constantly with reckless play I see the guys behind all of these three players as very capable replacements, if not possible upgrades in certain aspects like speed and athleticism, and in the case of Hyde smarts and experience.
  21. I don't trust McDermott when it comes to his defense because they've failed at the most crucial times against the top teams year after year. He's sticking with guys like Hamlin and Ingram over Elam and Bishop when those guys just aren't good and the other guys at least have talent and have now had time in the system, so we should be giving them a shot over guys who aren't making a difference out there. Continuing to do the same thing and expecting a different result is simply not a smart decision, and it will likely result in his defense getting burned again in the playoffs because he did what he always does
  22. This is what I call the "McDermott factor" It's truly insane that this happens to this team every season now
  23. They really should've traded him if they planned on not even making him active on GameDays This is another blunder by the organization IMO
  24. I don't think I ever saw Matt Stafford that comfortable back there just scanning the field and dropping dimes And the Bills got burned repeatedly on that dumb Nacua draw play as if we did zero adjustment or play recognition If I'm McDermott and Babich today, I'm embarrassed and ashamed of what I put out there yesterday. But we all know that McDermott will blame the offense and special teams before him and what he is supposed to be the guru of
