  1. Holy crap E, that's a serious deep cut reference. Well done sir.
  2. An aside: a former Bill (fairly well known) is a financial planner for athletes, and doing quite well. He told me that he saw too many players pissing away their money--plus he had a college internship at a financial institution--and thus he got into this market niche.
  3. I've read all posts. And I agree: I made alcohol-driving mistakes when I was younger. BUT, no matter how drunk, I had an inherent sensibility not to drive 156mph on surface streets. That, gentleman (and @muppy), demonstrates a fundamental character flaw. Last: I do appreciate his remorse. But, frankly, and I don't like to admit this publicly... but I too have killed, and to this day I have remorse. Not about the enemy deaths: no, never. But rather to those brothers/sisters I may have let down by not doing more. Bottom line: there is killing and then there is straight up murder. In war, God does not guide the musket or pull the trigger, even though you make your own decisions in a chaotic, ambiguous landscape. Obviously, this was not war. In the civilian world--as all should know--decisions Ruggs made stand in much sharper relief, the "rules" more coherent and known. And, by that standard, it is eminently clear that the sentence was too lenient. Ruggs should have more time to reflect on his decisions, regardless of alcohol, and fully understand the context in which they were made.
  4. I suspect he bought a ticket on the Toradal train.
  5. Holy crap LA...great call on Mickey's last name. Never knew that.
  6. 17's best camera hit, by far: the "Welcome Back Canada" piece he did for Bills PR team.* Great natural presence, good comedic timing, funny voice imitation, etc. Harness that, and this kid could go places. His corporate ads still seem a little....stilted, I guess. * sorry, tried to embed the YouTube link but can't get it to f***ing work
  7. I thought we were starting a GoFundMe for our good man? (I always think of him as 00Mike for some reason).
  8. I get it. This is like Pinky Tuscadaro suddenly has...a sister named Leather, who's a rock star? I ain't buying it.
  9. Fair enough. But I kinda care what @Mango says. So, at least I got that going for me.
  10. Not to derail thread but, true story, no kidding: I once had a CA-born girlfriend who worked for (name of intelligence agency), then left to become a full-time yoga instructor. Dude, she had killer bend, with a motor and twitchy hips. Un-freaking real. She also spoke fluent Russian, which was pretty much an extra plus.
  11. I kinda get what you're saying, but: Didn't Von literally do that for the Rams in SB LVI?
  12. Very interested in this point, as I'm not a close follower of draft classes. Frankly, I'm amazed by board members who have good knowledge of this stuff. If you have a sec: Who looks good as late Rd 1? Also, to the Op point: over, say, 2 year period, might XYZ "resolve" our WR2/3 issue in the event GD leaves?
  13. Agreed. "Give me a lever long enough and a fulcrum on which to place it, and I shall move the world." -- Archimedes Please Lord, let it be so.
  14. @BillsFanInRaleigh Ground truth: it's ok to spend day-night in NF, that is IF you haven't seen falls.*** Casino-Park-3rd St triangle is lovely, well-policed, and safe. Worth it just to grab a drink and watch 2200h fireworks from outside deck at, say, Sheraton Falls View or wherever. ***Of course there is the stray round or two that always sneaks into the "bubble". It's from the tussles (well, murders) along Pine Ave, ~400m NW. But, hey, at that range there's a big drop in velocity...so it's just a mosquito bite! For me, it's music to my ears (kinda LTC Kilgore-like), but your mileage may vary.
  15. Dumb question: do you mean actual team gear (tackling dummies, uniforms... whatever)? Just double checking, as I assume you mean regular fans getting off the plane.
  16. OP: can you give us a more specific link, per @Aussie Joe? Thanks.
  17. Really? I read the entire thread. Another typical example, outside the few crazies: The Bills are #1 in the league in yards per play on offense and #2 in the league in yards per play allowed on defense. The Bills are the best team in the league, and were last year, but we beat them. At home, with Mahomes, a toss-up. Is that reasonable enough?
  18. Great quote from ChiefsPlanet:* ...But man I am very worried that Von Miller is going to rape Orlando Brown Jr. *Despite their reputation, their fan perceptions roughly mirror this board: respect to the opposing team (esp JA &VM) but with cautious optimism for a win.
  19. Apologies for double posting, but I earlier put this in @Virgil thread. Seems relevant here: Kaiir Elam vs Ravens: 43 coverage snaps 1 target 0 receptions allowed The Bills rookie CB was LOCKDOWN. (Twitter: NFL rookie watch)
  20. Not sure where to put this but, seems to me, Elam not getting his props: Kaiir Elam vs Ravens: 43 coverage snaps 1 target 0 receptions allowed The Bills rookie CB was LOCKDOWN. (Twitter: NFL rookie watch)
  21. Wan skewered fish, small Waddles violent death throes Tagovailoa
  22. Apologies to Virg, as this is almost certainly o/t: On screen, Mina looked practically as tall as Swagu....wtf, over? Any reports on that? More specifically to anyone who was there, how does she look in person? I'm a big fan of her, ummm, opinions and stuff.
  23. Dude, I think this wins you Fan of the Year. Strong, like bull.
  24. Thanks. As you know RWC, every karate-ka learns this lesson... unconsciously.
