  1. He's a top 10 coach, full stop, maybe at the tail end of top 5. Has it likely been easier for him because of Allen? Yes, absolutely. Is he the guy who can win it all? I don't see why not. Maybe it's more likely for an offensive mind, but lots of great offensive coaches haven't won a superbowl. It can be a lot worse. Hopefully he grows as a coach and improves. There's lot of things that can be done better, but that's true of virtually every coach in the NFL.
  2. Johnson essentially does that every play. He's so streaky, for like 10 games out of the year he looks like the best Nickel DB in the game, and then the rest you're kind of questioning why he's the starter.
  3. You can't pay him like a #2 WR. He's like Edmunds, he'll probably get a contract that we can't match and honestly that's okay. He's a good player but I truly think he's elevated by just how good Allen is. I'd like to replace him with a high draft pick if possible.
  4. Look, I think McD has way too much faith in this defense considering the injury situation. I do think we need to be more aggressive, but I'm not sure if I trust Dorsey to be consistent or creative enough to manage that. So it's a rock and a hard place kind of situation.
  5. Williams just doesn't look ready, and Dodson is a failed experiment that they should have given up on a season or two ago. Bernard looks fantastic and is a big surprise, to me at least. He's one of the last really dynamic guys we have on the field beside Hyde. I feel like a 1 tech DT is a bigger need but I get LB for sure.
  6. You can be dynamic in 12 personnel too, the Bills just choose not to do it. Kincaid is a WR, and by all looks of it he's a good one. He should have the second most targets on the team behind Diggs. I've been saying this for weeks: Going to our #3 option WR or TE is going to be more successful than forcing it to Diggs. The quality of DB defending guys like Shakir is way lower than the coverage on Diggs and even Davis. I'm confident that Kincaid will consistently beat a slot DB or LB. We saw it this week, we need to keep that up, and when the defense pivots the attention away from Diggs, that's when your superstar comes out to play.
  7. I don’t understand the mentality of putting the game in the hands of your most injured and depleted defense time and time again. Especially when you have a documented history of making questionable (at best) choices in high pressure situations. The Bills dominated and still almost snatched defeat from the jaws of victory. To me, it’s becoming clear that the coaching staff need to pivot.
  8. I would love this move more than anything if we traded for Adams midseason. It's such a "we're winning now, screw you all" move that I'd love to see the Bills have enough confidence to make. Diggs, Adams, and Davis would instantly make us the most threatening big play team in the league (or at least equal to Miami).
  9. I guess they tried to call Julio a day too late.
  10. I can understand having anxiety about the team. They are so close to being something historically great. We've seen what happens when everything is firing on all cylinders. They're not just great, they are practically unstoppable. We just need the consistency now, and I think that's where most of the teeth gnashing is coming from.
  11. I don't think mental injuries are mandatory reporting.
  12. Don't need a refresher from someone who doesn't understand the difference in correlation vs. causation and uses "nuggies" unironically, so thanks for saving me the headache.
  13. Okay, assuming everything you said is fact (I'm not going to bother searching for it) then the fact still remains that it is maybe tangentially related to what I said, but still a stretch. You went off in a random direction for no apparent reason to attack someone based on physical features, which is really bizarre and sad.
  14. I saw Thurman Thomas at a car dealership once. I'm basically in the NFL.
  15. Ah yeah, absolutes. That's the cornerstone of a sound perspective and not in any way related to insecurity.
  16. I've worked with people with his demeanor before, I don't find it enjoyable or likable to be around a controlling perfectionist. This isn't a dig at him doing his job. I think he's a very solid head coach, bordering on elite, but the game management issues hold that back. It's not even really a dig at him personally, because maybe it's just his nature. Being not likable is not the same as being a bad person, at least in my eyes.
  17. I don't know how to react to anything you just wrote. Is this some Andrew Tate stuff or something? But go ahead and tee off on fat guys I guess.
  18. McKenzie was terrible in a lot of key moments last season. Harty just needs more opportunities. Beane brought in all these guys and Dorsey can’t figure out how to consistently use them.
  19. Sure, I never said Daboll has a better temperament. The dude looks like a tomato about to burst on the sideline.
  20. Yeah that’s not someone I would want on our active roster. He looked really bad late the last few times he played.
  21. I doubt McD is a likable guy, he always seems like he’s barely controlling seething rage. The Daboll/Allen relationship is cool though. He did a lot for Allen and Allen did a lot for him. Edit: I’m not saying McD is a bad coach at all. But come on, even the clapping is aggressive.
  22. It's a problem, but we don't really know the root of it. Is it because Diggs is read 1 on practically every play and Allen trusts his arm to just gun it to him? If so, Dorsey needs to diversify the playbook to get more pieces involved. Is it because Allen doesn't trust the other guys? Then they need to find whatever they can to establish that trust. Is it because the other guys just don't get open? Well I don't know how you fix that, better schemes I guess. I think it's a scheme issue and a read issue, honestly.
  23. I don't know what's going on with the offense, but they really need to find some more identity other than "Screw, Diggs down there somewhere" or "First down, time for another shotgun draw run up the middle". Allen feels like he's being held back. We have half the number of Allen rushes as we did last season, and teams are adjusting to it. Dorsey is the most schizophrenic playcaller I might have ever seen. Guy calls a fantastic game against Miami, and then also calls this slop. Dominating in the run during the first and then we just go away from it (and then go back to it, and surprise, it works) . I don't know what's going on there. Be better. Allen doesn't seem to trust anybody but Diggs and it shows. It's too bad too. I'm not a Shakir truther or anything, but Harty and Shakir had a single target and made big plays, partially because they had good matchups. You'd like to see more of that.
  24. You should really post all scrimmage yards in today's day and age. Cook broke off a huge catch and run.
  25. I mean McD is pretty universally praised as a top defensive mind. Dorsey is more live or die by Josh but he's critically acclaimed.
