I don't think there's a lot to read into. We're a team designed to stop the pass and they have arguably the best 3-headed running attack of the last 10 years with Henry, Jackson, and Hill. Spector, Williams, Cam Lewis and Hamlin couldn't process what they were doing fast enough, so we were always late or behind in the 2nd level. The game script was probably thrown out the Window when we got behind so fast. I don't expect a rematch to look nearly the same with Bernard and Johnson (and potentially Milano) in those key second level spots.

It's worth mentioning that Aubrey only has a 2% greater FG hitrate than Bass as well (86.4 vs 88.5). The extra points are frustrating but the narratives surrounding Bass are out of hand given his production since the Miami game.

There's only 3 kickers who have made a 60+ yard field goal this season and Tyler Bass is one of them. I'm not trying to say that Aubrey and Bass are on the same level, but you wouldn't be getting a markedly better kicker. It'd change the Bills win percentage chances by what? 2 percent? It would be a misuse of resources to trade for any kicker, especially in the offseason. For all the hemming and hawing about Bass on this board, he's actually about a middle of the road kicker after the last few games. He has a stronger than average leg though, which could matter in clutch situations when you absolutely need it. The real point here is that we shouldn't want to settle for field goals, regardless of who the kicker is.

Then you should just draft one. Why would you give up massive capital like a 3rd when you can use a 5-6th and get someone similar? Why specifically would we want Aubrey? The big leg? I don't want McDermott to have any reason to try and kick 55+ yard fieldgoals instead of going for it on 4th down.

It's more likely than not that Joe Brady will get some interviews. Whether or not he gets a job is really dependent on how the rest of the season goes.

Exactly. We haven't seen this UDFA kick a field goal yet but somehow folks were so impressed with their XPs that we need to have him on our watchlist. The cap reality is that Bass is here for the rest of the season. He's not the best kicker, but he's not had a Justin Tucker day like the Ravens just had. Honestly, Bass missing a single XP will rarely matter so long as the Bills are consistently hitting that 30 point threshold.

That's exactly what I was texting my friends about in our group chat during the game. The Chiefs are a troll team. I think this is what it is. Bills fans can be down on Miller and for good reason, but the dude is not a quitter.
