the Watson contract was unprecedented and hated by all the other owners in the league. That wasn’t going to be seen or used as a precedent no matter what he did on the field.
the Wilson contract looks horrific right now, but there’s a slight chance he rebounds a bit next year and Denver salvages a little value out of that.
None of these things matter though. If you’re implying or expecting some sort of reset in thinking on vet QB contracts, it won’t. The market is what it is and the cap will keep increasing.
Lamar seems next up. He will get his money. The Watson and Wilson situations will not affect him at all.
