It’s got to be better than a coin flip in close games. What I take away is, teams they can slap in the mouth, they do. When a team is near equal in talent, it’s highly questionable if the Bills will find a way not to lose. Also known as Feast or Famine.

Justin Simmons released (now visiting N'awlins)
DCofNC replied to Dablitzkrieg's topic in The Stadium Wall
Edwards was a backup, pressed into starting. That said, still not sure how he could be worse than what they are running out there. -
Well I think it’s pretty obvious he needs more targets for those numbers to rise, which is why he’s protesting!

Marv never held a candle to BB and it’s not close.

Well guys also were harder back then. More diagnosed injuries and preventative measures are in place to keep these Ferraris available as long as possible.

Kick Groot inside on passing downs, should be doing it anyway, but it’s time for the D coaches to show they really can justify all the credit they get.

Cooper is dirt cheap and it would not take much to make Hopkins also dirt cheap with a simple restructure. The question is the draft capital cost IMO. I’d throw a 4th or 5th for Cooper, he’d eat up less than 1M in cap space for a guy that’s at least capable of being a low end #1. We are paying WAY more for far less on this roster.

Literally looking at missing HALF the starters on D vs a team with arguably the best skill player set in the league, what could go wrong?! Oh and I forgot, not a single starting WR on the field either, this is going to be fun.

Josh Allen is making $60m this season

Ehh, I don’t want to look at Bellichecks ugly mug, maybe just the Pats old school logo -

Week 5, Bills v. Texans, PREDICT THE SCORE!

Easier said than done, but I do agree. -
Pulling for Knox to have a breakout game on Sunday
DCofNC replied to Billsfed1's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don’t think that’s the case at all. He’s made plenty of tight window throws over the middle. I think the ball got forced outside to Diggs and a lot of the roll outs went/go outside as that’s where they should go. The Ravens even said flatly, ”I don’t care how much they throw deep, etc.., we can’t let them win in the center of the field”. This entire scheme is predicated on working the middle. There’s so little threat outside, my exact fears blew up in our faces when the Ravens shut down the short middle and dared them to go outside/long bc there was nothing happening out there. -

This. I don’t know if the coaching staff and Beane aren’t on the same page or if it’s because we have a revolving door at OC ( I’ve said it a bunch, THIS is why you have to have an offensive HC when you have a HOF QB), but there has been two times where Beane has gotten an offensive player that the staff has used. Diggs was obviously used and used pretty well and Beasley was good too. Look back at everyone else signed or re-signed to decent size deals and it’s like the coach has never spoken to the GM. Knox? Sure we’ll make him a blocker. All the vet RBs, they can keep the bench warm for us. 1st round pick on a pass catching TE, no thanks. 2nd round (first pick for the team) on a WR, ehh we’ll get him 3 targets a game. McKenzie, just no. Samuel? Bet he can hand the ball back to Josh and no one will see that coming! Oh wait. They even drafted Cook and made him useless for a year until there really was nobody else to run so they had to and wouldn’t ya know, Beane didn’t do a bad job on that. I don’t get it. Even if you look at the D side, Elam is an obvious sore spot, they signed all these DL to big deals only to rotate them with Vet min guys like it doesn’t matter who’s in the field. Thankfully, Von came in and said something to the effect of “it’s hard to get going when you’re only on the field half the time.” That seemed to wake McClappy up a bit. I can’t count the number of times we had 2nd and third stringers in on the DL in the Redzone early on in McDs tenure because “it’s their turn”. Drove me insane. I think McD is one of the better DB coaches maybe ever, as a D coordinator he’s darn good and I’d even say as a leader he’s solid. All that said, I still don’t see him as a great HC, too many blind spots, too little situational awareness/adjustments and way too much finger pointing (at coordinators) when it goes wrong. -
Week 5, Bills v. Texans, PREDICT THE SCORE!
DCofNC replied to Freddie's Dead's topic in The Stadium Wall
I don’t like this matchup, the Texans have WAY more talent on offense than the Bills do on D and unfortunately, I don’t see a win coming from this with Diggs being motivated to prove his point as well. Texans - 38 Bills - 20 -
Not like he will be missed, haven’t seen the guy play for real in 2 years. He’s just an expensive rotational guy at this point. Solomon will get more reps and I for one think that’s good.

I'd love for us to trade for Amari Cooper
DCofNC replied to Trust The Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
Cooper or DHop should find their way here, it’s clear that real D’s have no worries about getting beat deep, they just took away the middle and said “good luck” there was no answer after that. Cooper may not be a legit 1 anymore, but at basically get min, he’s a heck of an upgrade. Don’t disagree, but if he really can’t take Mack Hollins spot, there are larger issues afoot (pun intended). -
Brandon McManus reinstated - Bass replacement?
DCofNC replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
About the equivalent of Bass, though his short range stuff is good. I’m not sure how much more choice there is going to be with Bass, he’s cooked. -
Williams is the new Kiko, lot of unchecked energy, pretty good, but gets burned quite a bit. There’s potential, but he’s far from the guy you want out there at this point. Not saying he can’t rein it in and be a force, I would love to see it, but when Milano comes back, there is zero question who plays.

I saw him out there, always coming into the play after it was over..

So far WR group looks like a dumpster fire
DCofNC replied to Ethan in Cleveland's topic in The Stadium Wall
I think Simon is hitting it on the head. Also, the volume just wasn’t there. He did well with what he got, but the one drop was a huge one. If he makes that, the drive is alive, the FG is much more probable and a TD is still in play. Combine that with the way the 3rd quarter started and it is probably thought to have cost the team the game. I don’t agree, but I could see it being seen that way. The Bills got curb stomped and the coaches blatantly refused to change what wasn’t working until way too late and Brady should get a lashing for his play calls, it’s hard to see Coleman as impressive amongst all that. -
If Hopkins becomes available, would you want Beane to trade for him?
DCofNC replied to SCBills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Absolutely correct here. I’d also argue for more from Kincaid and Knox, but especially Kincaid. You spent a first round pick on him and traded up to do so, GET HIM THE BALL! Samuel is the only guy on the roster that really has shown to have any big play ability in the past, wtf are we going with him? Nothing. The Ravens outright dared them to throw deep and instead they continued to run/pass into the teeth of the D, I don’t get it. You have to be willing to do something down field, it certainly doesn’t help that there are zero WRs that scare anyone, which was my concern all along, but you still have to push it. As soon as they threw the ball to Coleman who had one on one, they got chunk yards, keep doing it! When the D had 10-11 in the box, you can’t keep trying to run the ball. 4 yards on first down means you have to execute the next 2 plays flawlessly just to keep the drive going and you have to do that 8 times in a row to score. It works when teams screw up, but please don’t tell me both sides of the ball are now going to sit around and wait for the other team to make mistakes to be effective. That is not going to work, especially in the playoffs. Both sides of the ball got out coached and out played, it was pathetic. -
Well there goes that streak of games with no losses greater than 6pts
-
This has been the same play calling all year, the difference has been execution (or lack there of on the opposite side). There has t been a lot going on, just flat out, we’re better than you. Tonight that wasn’t the case. The Ravens DARED them to throw the ball deep, so they ran it into the teeth of the D anyway.

I hate the Chiefs so much
