How confident are you the Bills beat the Bengals?
Mikie2times replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall
Last 10 games Bengals 9-1 (9 Game win streak, 4-0 vs playoff teams) Bills 8-2 (8 Game win streak, 2-1 vs playoff teams) L3 Away / Home PPG Bengals 25.3 / 19.0 = +6.3 Bills 33.7 / 27.7 = +6.0 Burrow/Allen Last 10 Games Burrow 251/368 68.2%, 2,587 Yards, 21 TD / 7 INT, 21 Sacks Allen 209/342 61.1%, 2,437 Yards, 19 TD / 10 INT, 29 Sacks Forget about the wild card, these aren't divisional teams. The wild card says nothing about this game. Broadly speaking, as of now, I feel the data as well as what we are seeing on the field indicates the team played better in the first half of the season. Is it mostly injuries? So have we played our best ball yet? Imagine how you would feel if you were the defending AFC champions, you return everybody, and then you spend 8 months hearing about Buffalo and KC, Mahomes and Allen. Everybody is ready this time of year, but this is a respect game for the Bengals and Burrow. Within all this the Bengals are banged up badly on the offensive line and defensive backfield. I'm certainly not apologizing for the help. This has been the worst year for injuries in Buffalo in some time. Flush it all out and I think this is a dead even game that will approach 70 points. Easily good enough to be the AFC Championship. -
Will your respect for Tom Brady change when he retires?
Mikie2times replied to Just Jack's topic in The Stadium Wall
I went from no respect, to high levels of respect near the end of his Patriot days. To GOAT after his TB Super Bowl, to low levels of respect almost to the point of feeling bad for the guy now. I don't think it's a mentally healthy outlook to think you're put on this world for sports. I don't care how good you're at them. To be at the point where you won that TB Super Bowl, showed the world it wasn't BB. All the money, fame, GOAT status. Then be so obsessed you lose your family and fade into obscurity. He's basically doing the anti Barry, even the anti Jordan. He had a shot to go out with literally everything and he decided it wasn't time and when it's all said and done I think that decision will haunt him. -
That's really my complaint against the "don't worry we won". I'm not going to start a thread saying we are a bad team, but we keep falling into the one man offense style and then a conservative defense that gives away chunk plays at the worst times. That recipe is not going to work against KC or the Bengals.

The book does not say blitz Josh. He actually handles the blitz as well as anybody. Josh has to do everything on his own which leads to a very inconsistent result. I think some of that is on Josh, but some of that is also on Dorsey. We are way past the era that Buffalo will build a game plan to help prevent Josh from feeling like he has to do everything (which might not be the worst idea). As his star has risen it's now become the Josh Allen show and the Josh Allen show by itself has never been consistent. Amazing at times, but never consistent. In addition to this the defense not being able to get off the field. Blown coverages. Constantly conceding yardage to avoid the big play. Lack of aggression in defensive play calling. All of that is very bad right now. Which is along the same very bad reasons we lost last year at KC.

99% of the time I would say yes but we basically have the same defense as last year when we finished first in pass defense by almost 20 yards. This year we aren't even in the top half. This entire defense revolves around Hyde and Poyer and disguising our schemes. We just don't have that element this year.

Chargers - Mike Williams and Joey Bosa hurt in meaningless game

Right? They didn't play well vs the Titans, but they have been playing very well. -

Potential decision made for Championship Game location
Mikie2times replied to Ra-cha-cha's topic in The Stadium Wall
If it's Pittsburgh it's my late old man F'n with me. Which seems more plausible with each passing day this season. That would be a pretty epic venue given the history and distance for each fan base. -

The rock I live under is this forum, as this forum is about the only place I go for sports entertainment outside of gameday. The point of this thread was not to debate if Josh Allen is a puppy, while I made the analogy, so be it if people feel it is off. He has indeed acted like Cujo at times if we wish to keep this on the dog references, but again, in my eyes his disposition is still excitable and erratic and somewhat child like and I love him for all these reasons just as much as I find these reasons some cause for concern. In the end why I posted this was a half bottle of Weller Antique, which was delightful. Along with an overwhelming feeling I got when I watched the video I posted on Joe B. As far as going oh Sh!t, this guy is a stone cold killer. Myself, along with this forum, have chronically failed to recognize the threat that is Joe B along with the Bengals. When in fact him and that team have already been further than our team ever has. Which makes me even more concerned as our team has never had the benefit of playing with a chip on our shoulder but for some reason, the Bengals are allowed to do so. Then, in the only snap of time we have ever seen these guys/teams tangle, it felt very Colt like. We would have scored our fair share, but we were getting smacked until the incident with Hamlin occurred. I couldn't possibly take anybody over Josh but we are in for a real crapshoot for a long time here. Herbert hasn't even fully risen, Burrow and his cast ARE just as good as KC. Lawrence is sort of just waving asking for some press. How any team could ever be an overwhelming favorite as ours was anointed in this sea of QB excellence is beyond me. -

Maybe I have PTBD but he looks like Tom as far as release time and ambivalence. I want nothing to do with him. -

Mahomes vs Allen or Mahomes vs Burrow
Mikie2times replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
I see him that way. I see him growing up a lot. At the end of the day I know so many people that just don't have any puppy demeanor. These people exist, they have low anxiety, low anxiousness, few high/ high's or low / low's, they live in the middle. They exist and I think these people are generally better to play QB from a consistency stand point. I do think what make's Joe B such a threat is his psych profile. He's not Joe Kool as I thought. That name and image to me made me feel as if he put on a show of sorts. When you see his video you can tell the guy just doesn't care. It's in a way where it's not like he doesn't care about winning at all, he just recognizes football is just a game and that's all it is. It's not something to get all excited about. -

You can look at my post history. It's 20 years long. Outside of when he was 8 years old, all my posts on this subject have been pretty neutral. -

I bet money on the Raiders game. On the Raiders. That call maid me want to crush humans but at the end of the day the Bengals outplayed them. He was sacked 7 times vs Tennessee. What would Josh do if he was sacked 7 times? Again, for the 50th time. Watch the video. You will see why I'm worried about him. I haven't seen any athlete with this mental attitude. -

NOBODY has talked about the Bengals. Again, minimum 10 to 1 vs KC. -

Mikie2times replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm not hear to discuss individual success or failure. I love Josh. We are obsessed with KC, it's time we wake up. Dude, I really don't care to measure Josh like an MLB pitcher, I understand his xFIP is exceptional, but in the NFL ERA matters more. -
Mahomes vs Allen or Mahomes vs Burrow
Mikie2times replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
So I made this a Allen / Burrow thread, but it might as well be a Bills / Bengals thread. At the end of the day you figure it will be decided by them. With the weapons they both have, is KC the only team you're worried about? Did Burrow just crap his pants into being one defensive holding call away from have his first SB off a severe injury in his second season? -
Mahomes vs Allen or Mahomes vs Burrow
Mikie2times replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
As I said, puppies get excited and do really well sometimes. All of us know how those stats were generated. Josh will remain my guy. Always. The people in this thread are delusional if they think Mahomes is our only threat or even that he's the main threat. Just as much if you think this is an anti Allen thread. None of you watched any of the videos. I didn't feel like I do now until I did. It's not an act, he doesn't give a F and it matters. That doesn't mean I want him to be our QB. This is a more of a FML the Bengals are possibly as a big or worse a threat as KC and nobody here respects that at all. Which makes it even worse. -

Mahomes vs Allen or Mahomes vs Burrow
Mikie2times replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
The puppy thing is getting misunderstood. Puppies are amazing, incredible, aggressive, reckless, overexcited. Josh always seems to arrive back at this place at some point. He is 100x better than he was two years ago. 50x better than last year. Is he ever going to be like a Joe Burrow? No. If you actually watch that entire video, Joe B just doesn't care about football enough to piss on the carpet. It matters, the dude is just cold blooded as a result of indifference and he gets the ball out as fast as anybody not named Brady. All we do is talk about Mahomes, once in awhile I hear about Herbert. I think the real threat is in southern Ohio. That is what this thread is about. I'm also sure as hell not saying I don't want Josh as my guy. He's our damn guy. Nobody on this forum even brings the Bengals up. -
Mahomes vs Allen or Mahomes vs Burrow
Mikie2times replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
The cliff notes, Joe B is very underrated, he's in Allen's class. We never talk about him. I see an overexcited kid slamming into a big pile. Joe B would slide. It's logical. I'm not slamming Josh at all. I didn't think of Joe B as even being in this convo, but he is and we should respect that he is. Again, he's as big a threat as Mahomes and the Chiefs.
