Eight years, with the same weaknesses unaddressed for the most part, imo, incorrect players for the scheme, inability to get of the field on third down, and giving up easy yards with soft coverage schemes, which comes to a head every postseason. Do I have the answer? Nope, I do not, but there are staff on this team that are supposed to have those answers, yet the same scheme is trotted out every new season, Always hoping for the best, GO BILLS!!! Agree,

We could use a speed boundary guy that can separate and catch the ball, who that is I don’t know, what we do need is a revamped defensive scheme, an azs kicking D line and an above average CB, if by some miracle this happens we will be back in the battle…, jmo.

The answer is very likely both, We stress containment on defense more than most anything else, our guys mostly do what they are coached to do, with varying degrees of success,

Totally agree, it’s as if the thinking is that we needed every one of our draft picks to start, all we needed was basic contributions from them,

You make good points, I suspect cook will be re-signed, but probably not for 15m per year, the offense is looking good presently, hate to make holes that are hard to fill, imo, we still need a speedy WR that can run routes reasonably well,

I guess we disagree on this a bit , the soft LOS pressure on opponents pass catchers is still a big issue with this defense, and has been for some time now, third and long has become a bit of a running joke, especially this past season, it’s a combination of not having the right personnel and coaching, nuthin but luv, 👍

Certainly can be “part” of the answer, but When the same break downs in the scheme happen regardless of the year or the players, its coaches not modifying their scheme that is the likely root of the problem, this coming from a guy who is pro McDermott 90 plus percent of the time, 👍
