Sean although the prime mover in making the Bills a contender again, (thank you) unfortunately his defense has its issues, when they are on the field all to often give up easy yards and can’t get off the field on third down to save their lives, (the hell of Sean’s soft zone / contain defense). I’m always hoping he has an epiphany and corrects these issues, fingers crossed 🤞 GO BILLS!!!

No more Sunday football until September
Don Otreply replied to philholbroo's topic in The Stadium Wall
Yup, no heart ache, no worries about beating KC in the playoffs till next season, only threads and posts about unrealistic player acquisitions / extensions, and firing coaches and or the GM, oh, and a ton of mock drafts, and fantasizing about how our FA and early round draft picks will be game changers and put us over the hump, all that and lots of pretty ridiculous off season thread starts, it’ll be great! Lol 😂👍 GO BILLS!!! -
Hard to beat the Chiefs and the refs every post-season
Don Otreply replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall
Gambling you say, the game in which the house is guaranteed to win the vast majority of the time, the house being the NFL, there is no way such an organization would parlay such a concept into the games themselves…, -
Agree, it all about what they are being coached to do, we play a “contain / soft zone defense”, which is not conducive to to getting pressure on a regular basis, think about this, all these D-line acquisitions, be it draft or free agency, ALL end up as underwhelming linemen, I don’t believe that seven plus years of acquisitions are all mediocre/ occasional flash players, they are coached to be what they are, and that’s definitely not Jim Schwartz’s wide nine, if you get my drift…, the scheme needs to be changed / updated / modified etc etc etc, GO BILLS!!!

It appears that some folks moms didn’t teach them how to act outside the house…, boys gotta learn to keep their kink to themselves…,

Is McD actually compensating for Beane?
Don Otreply replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
Agree, Like it or not, the Defenses soft zone gives away easy yards frequently, and can’t get off the field on 3rd down on a regular basis, which hurts the entire team especially in the postseason, and our nemesis KC takes advantage of this, again like it or not, adjustments don’t happen quickly enough, or are not executed by the players particularly well. That is what needs to change. I give Sean all the credit in the world for turning this team into a competitive playoff contender annually, that can’t be mentioned enough, GO BILLS!!! -
Opinion: Bills SHOULD hire Doug Pederson as assistant HC

Hot Take: Does Bobby Babich Lose His Job?
Don Otreply replied to BillsFan130's topic in The Stadium Wall
Why make up a scenario that even you think isn’t realistic, and then think it’s worth a discussion? but I’ll bite, Babich is a McDermott disciple, he takes his direction from Sean, everyone knows this, our defense has not markedly changed in what, seven plus years…, we employ a defensive scheme that was relevant fifteen or more years ago, we can’t stop the run or the quick pass, because of the soft zone / contain defense we play, and we don’t have the personnel to have a hope in hell to do so, especially against top tier teams and coaches, we have watched this play out annually. Nuthin but luv, but we need a scheme change on defense in the worst way…, GO BILLS!!! -
Players only love you when their playing…, Josh isn’t a fool, he knows full well what the issues are with the overall scheme Sean has been using.

Not using James Cook on final drive a head scratcher
Don Otreply replied to Returntoglory's topic in The Stadium Wall
An easy pitch and run to Cook would have got the first down…, likely repeatedly, jmo. -
Agree, our soft zone D is, and has not worked particularly well for something like seven years…, the problem is that evidently it’s all Sean knows how to implement, and then we don’t have the personnel to have even a chance at making it work, Change has to happen, if not we have gotten as far as Sean’s scheme is gonna go,

Wide Receiver Train Full Speed Ahead- CHOO CHOO!
Don Otreply replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
Reasons and excuses are quite frequently confused I would add having more than two reliable WRs And the inability to see that even Knox is more reliable than Kincaid, making adjustments in personnel use in game is as well an issue, the coaches are not what one would call nimble in their thinking, or scheming, lots of reasons to be pissed off as a fan, lol -
The NFL wants the Bills to win the Superbowl next year
Don Otreply replied to G0BILLS's topic in The Stadium Wall
The NFL barely cares about the Bills, but if I’m Allen, and I actually win a SB with the Bills, I retire immediately after the game, -

Wide Receiver Train Full Speed Ahead- CHOO CHOO!
Don Otreply replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
Beane and McDermott need a reset in all their player evaluation methods. Outside of Allen and Cook and the current O- line they have been middling to poor in most every selection, especially with WRs and D -linemen, I don’t understand that they don’t get that with their continual improvement banter, they can’t be that blind to this issue can they??? -
Wide Receiver Train Full Speed Ahead- CHOO CHOO!
Don Otreply replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
That would have required the O line to block effectively on those plays, much the same way as the KC line did, -
Wide Receiver Train Full Speed Ahead- CHOO CHOO!
Don Otreply replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall
And that’s quite sad, especially when Josh Allen is your QB, -
Sean is unable to come to grips with the fact that his defensive scheme just doesn’t work, he rolls out the same failed scheme every season “thinking” , this time it will be different…, …, and as we all know it won’t be different…, Sean needs to aggressively change what he is doing or graciously step aside, (which has it’s own ramifications) Nothing but respect for how he changed this team for the better, but it’s like QB purgatory, but in our case its HC purgatory, GO BILLS!!!

After A Season of Silence - My Final Thoughts
Don Otreply replied to Billsfan4588's topic in The Stadium Wall
One would think so, but D - line and WRs are not this tandem’s forte in the draft, to much of guys that are a bit to small, and or “have great potential” , because they can play in multiple spots, just draft big nasty SOBs that can collapse the pocket with regularity, and two WRs that are fast can separate and catch the damn ball, it can’t be that hard, lol -
After A Season of Silence - My Final Thoughts
Don Otreply replied to Billsfan4588's topic in The Stadium Wall
Decision makers that listen to their scouts? Might help…, that and stop signing 31 year old formerly good players, especially for big money, and multiple years, gotta get these guys as they come into their prime, not as they are leaving it,
