Last year I would’ve been all about it, however from what I saw during preseason I think there is finally some solid depth at LB. If Jaylon Smith played at virtually any other program than Notre Dame, and then was drafted by almost any other team than Dallas, nobody would want anything to do with bringing in a player who’s been labeled low effort, especially to a Super Bowl contender. Once a guy become synonymous with not giving it 100 or taking plays off, their career is basically a wrap.

What is Wrong with Steve Belichick?
Delete_Delete_Delete replied to JohnNord's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It could definitely be Tourette’s syndrome… ticks often get worse in high stress situations. Can’t imagine a more stressful non-life or death situation than being an assistant coach AND Hoodie’s son in Brady’s return game, in what I imagined was the most watched regular season game ever. -
Bill Belichick. Greatest fraud in NFL history.
Delete_Delete_Delete replied to Beast's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
McDermott made the playoffs his first year, without Josh or much else for that matter... Bill is now on year 2 without Tom, and now has invested a top pick into an Alabama QB with mediocre intangibles, who's ceiling is probably "prime" Trent Edwards... Not to mention the Patriots inability to hit on 1st round picks to begin with. Even with the expanded playoff format, they'll be lucky to sniff a wildcard anytime soon, especially with how strong the West and North both are. There are no more coattails for the hoodie to ride, he will have to live with the Bills owning the division until he's forced into retirement. -
Week 3: WFT at Bills
Delete_Delete_Delete replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
These next two games Josh gets himself right, setting up for the rematch with KC. Daniel Jones looked very decent against this defense on the road, and Herbert had no problem moving the ball against them. I expect big plays out of the passing game, deep ball will be there for the taking against a very pedestrian secondary, the OL just has to hold up. I expect the Bills defense to make Heinecke wish he was still safe and sound on the sidelines as the clipboard holder we all know he really is… that horrible pick he threw that should’ve cost WFT the game, there will be a lot more of that. If Fitz was playing this would be a game, but an inexperienced QB at the Ralph, against this new and improved pass rush? Pay up for that Bills D this week on DraftKings… -
Inactivating Zach Moss
Delete_Delete_Delete replied to ThurmanThomasEnglishMuffin's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Has the reason for Moss being inactive been addressed by the coaching staff or Beane? Puzzling move, agree with much of what the OP said. 4th and 1 I'd rather have Moss on the field than Matt Breida. Atleast make Steelers respect Moss' power and the possibility it may go to him in a key short yardage situation, then run and option with Allen if you have to get cute in that spot bc the OL can't get hold up... How does a power run package with Moss, Singletary, Josh and Gilliam not make more sense than the garbage Daboll pulled in that spot? The sky is far from falling, these takes are a little ridiculous, but the Bills last 3 offensive showings have been extremely lack luster. If Josh and Co can't get on track against the Dolphins, then there might be some cause for concern... -
"Bills and Titans are Frauds"

This is better, I didn't like all the Super Bowl hype pre season. Team plays better with a chip on their shoulder and everybody disrespecting them... Remember when the Chiefs stomped the Pats week 1 2017? Brady's career was over, Patriots were done... -
What will the changes be at the stadium?

If only they understand Football is Life!!! Although with some many people packed like sardines in a pandemic, Football could also be death… But mostly Football is Life!!! -
Four plays that made the difference

The miss to Sanders, there is no excuse, he is literally getting paid a quarter billion $$$ to THROW a football, the margin for error is slim to none. Mahomes, Rodgers, Brady, Brees, those guys (in their primes) are now the standard Josh should and will be held too. I think Josh must be a little in his head right now- The extension, the expectations, the preseason MVP hype, fans back in the stands. I expect he will find his way sooner rather than later. As off as Josh was today, Daboll's gameplan did 17 no favors. It's almost as if Daboll's pride won't let him move past the AFC Title game, as he called basically the same exact offense and abandoned any kind of legitimate rushing attack. Just arrogance and pride getting in the way of common sense. No reason not to run the ball when they are consistently daring you with extra DBs on the field. Piss poor performances all around on offense- Daboll, Allen, OL execution/holding penalities, Drops... just bad. The team needs to take a note from Ted Lasso, all be goldfish...then squish the fish. -

Jim Kelly Was Better Than Brady Imo..
Delete_Delete_Delete replied to Billsfanatic8989's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Anybody else ever notice how some of the greatest players to ever play their sports were completely overlooked at some point in there careers… Jordan, Brady, Favre, even Kelly to a certain extent as his dream school, Penn St, wanted him to play Linebacker, … which by the way I love Jim, but cmon… not even close. But more importantly, back to my point of the greats being overlooked… that’s pretty much been the story of Josh’s entire football life and career up until he got that mega extension. I think as great as Jim was, we might be witnessing the beginnings of a very special story just really starting to unfold here in Western NY. Eventually the conversation will be Brady or Josh? -
Definitely said I would TRADE Beasley, not cut him outright so he can land on a threat to the division/conference. Also Homer’s tend to overvalue him, he’s an undersized WR in his 30’s coming off a broken leg, likely not much tread left on those tires. Josh made Beasley an “All Pro” last year, guys don’t just suddenly turn into All Pro WR’s at 31. I’m Bullish on the WRs behind him, and if they could find a trade partner, plus bringing back a WR Josh has established chemistry with in Smoke, while ridding the locker room of divisiveness and adding some draft capital for what’s supposed to be an absolute stacked draft class, that’s a win, win, win, win scenario right there. I get he’s a fan favorite, but I’m over all that nonsense. Beas is a good player, but hardly irreplaceable and I’m a fan of the team first and foremost, not an individual who might be here another year, or two tops. If you think he’s in Beane’s long term plans, I don’t think you’ve paid attention to the way Brandon runs a football team.

I’d trade Beasley for… just about anything at this point and resign Smoke if he’s vaccinated. I realize different skill set, but Sanders can fill Beasley’s role with relative ease, and Davis is ready to step into a bigger role. The Champs are 100%… If I’m Beane and McDermott, I would view anybody not getting vaxxed as someone who simply doesn’t want to win bad enough to be on my team . Personal beliefs aside, the rules give a competitive advantage to those who are vaccinated, period. Games in this league are way to close to be giving an opponent any sort of advantage. The article is 100% right, and I bet a clown like Beasley has little to no trade value- unvaccinated 32 yr old loud mouth distraction isn’t going to be worth much.

Can't see it, I think the coaching staff likes Moss' downhill, thumping running style too much to provide Singletary with enough carries to hit that mark. While I think Devin on another team would certainly be capable of rushing for 1000+ yards, on this offense there are simply too many mouths to feed.

It’s almost like people expected a dude who made his billions destroying the environment to be a good guy and do the right thing. Only one thing matters to these people and it always amazes me that they never seem to have enough of it…
