White knight, another lame played out buzzword. You think it’s cool to shame people for trying to be funny. You called his stuff an abortion. I think people like you are the worst kind of people. Call that whatever you want. An easy Mark? Somebody takes their gimmick a little too seriously. Glad you’re having a lot of fun with the thread though... -

“Tantrum”, Nice way to try and trivialize a simple point being made. All I’m saying it’s a lot ***** cooler to be kind and not ***** on people for trying to do something. If you don’t like it keep on moving instead of stoping to cop a squat in somebody’s Cheerios. But whatever, you’re clearly oozing elitist snark, so I doubt this zebra is changing its stripes any time soon. -

The point is clearly over your head. But you’re obviously too cool for school so I digress. Wouldn’t expect much more from a dude who spends all his time pining over one liners on a football message board under the guise of total anonymity... -

Bills coaches and players get paid obscene amounts of money. They are openly criticized by the media on a regular basis. This is just a random dude putting himself out there. You’re right that the comments here weren’t that bad other than the “abortion” remark. It just looked like people were starting to pile on, and I just jumped in before this turned into the YouTube comments section. Smart move. With oil being at negative right now Petroleum jelly should start dropping to all time lows. Overworked Fleshlights around the country collectively breath a sigh of relief. -

Nope, just on my soap box. I love comedy, and respect those for trying. Never did I say I found it hilarious, but there were some things he can build on going forward. I just don’t understand why people can’t be respectful of others while critiquing their work. Just a basic human decency issue... Rather than crap all over it, why not just let it fade away into the obscurity of the inter webs? -

My bad, I forgot everything labeled “comedy” is always funny... Except for like the 80% of it that’s not... at all. But people who appreciate comedy/comedians also respect those for trying and realize the guts it takes to put yourself out there. I mean I’m watching SNL and still trying to figure out what’s supposed to be funny about these Pete Davidson songs, and he’s a paid professional comedian... and it didn’t get funny until Adam Sandler came in. Comedy show, yet often sketches fall flat... but it’s comedy, shouldn’t it be funnny!? Why can’t people just not be complete ***** #######s and refer to somebody’s hard work as an “abortion”, and rather try to give the kid some constructive criticism. It’s way cooler to be mean, I totally get it. -

I mean, people could just not comment rather than take a giant ***** on people with the balls to take creative/artistic choices while you spend quarantine stuffing your face with frozen pizzas and depleting the nations supply of Jergens and Kleenex... It’s as if people now are raised with the principle “if you don’t have anything nice to say, make sure you really lay it on, just make them feel absolutely worthless. Make everybody a giant miserable turd like yourself” -
There’s just too much nuance to the game to be learned at this late of an age. Picking up blitzes, learning how to take what the defense is giving you sometimes (not trying to turn every run into a touchdown), plus the extreme complexity of NFL offenses in terms of number of plays, terminology, and concepts. We love the underdog here in Buffalo, but I don’t think he’s the next Fred Jackson.
-
To those getting upset at the team’s 5th and 6th round picks A- You clearly don’t follow the team very closely as Beane has said it would be hard for late round guys to crack the roster B- You also likely severely overrate Matt Barkley and Hauschka. Barkley has had one good game, against a very bad team, in his entire NFL career. Hauschka has been anything but money lately. C- Fromm is at worst a developmental QB, and at best if Allen hasn’t turned the corner by year 5, then we have a young insurance policy in Fromm who will have a few years in the system and time to grow as a QB by that point. D- Holy *****, watch Bass’ highlights above. Hausch about ya’ll trust the process...

Devin Singletary workouts w/ Kevin Smith

He had a massive heart attack, his heart stopped beating and his “widow maker” artery was 100% clogged. Ironically shortly before this he had just taken up smoking weed (he actually hadn’t through all those early Jay and Silent Bob escapades), and the doctors credited that with saving his life he said in one interview, something about helping keeping him calm and lowering his BP I believe. He went vegan, lost a ton of weight and kept it off. Unfortunately I think with the weight loss, he also lost his mojo bc his recent movies are just bad... and that hurts to say bc I really love all of his early stuff. -

Johnson still has upside. I think Murphy’s contract makes him tough to move, but I’d take just about anything to move him and just continue developing Johnson. -
Who Do You Want the Bills to Pick in Round 4?
Delete_Delete_Delete replied to Wizard's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Eason or Fromm I love Josh, I think he has the tools to be the guy for years and years to come. That being said, this team is too talented from top to bottom put it all on the shoulders of one guy’s success or failure moving forward. I also realize the success rate of QBs drafted in the last 20 years after the 3rd round is next to nil, so I won’t be upset if they don’t. But I think at the very least an upgrade from Barkley is welcome, and a rookie QB could develop into an insurance policy moving forward if Josh doesn’t develop as hoped by his 5th year. -

Thoughts on using the 4th on Eason if he’s there? just would be nice to invest in a contingency plan... we all love Josh. But this team is too good to let all hopes rest on one man’s shoulders. I’m not up to speed on the QBs in this draft, is there any you guys would like in the 4th or 5th? I know the long term success rate of QBs taken after the 3rd in the last 20 years is basically nil, but does anybody see any legit potential in Eason, Fromm, or anybody else? -

“Home run” ability is so overrated. Even the best backs break off really long runs for TDS what, 2 or 3 times a year? Singletary had 7 carries over 20 yards last year on 151 carries... the top running back taken in last years draft, Josh Jacobs had 8 of 20+, on 242 attempts. I think Motor n’ Moss are going to be an excellent 1-2 punch. -

What % draft picks or players generally stay with teams for 8 years in the modern NFL? I’d guess it’s a really low %. Some of you cry babies are relentless... Whining about draft picks when Beane and Co have shown to be pretty dang good at what they do is an awfully weird flex for a “fan”... -

And ask the Giants how it helped stopped the Patriots with one of the highest scoring offenses in the history of the league from going 18-0, stifling Brady and Moss to a mere 14 points... -

Please do. RBs are a dime a dozen. Staring caliber Edge > starting caliber RB all day, way more quality RBs than there are potential starting DE’s. Never mind that on the FA market a decent RB costs a fraction of what a mediocre starting DE like Shaq Lawson does. -

Nah, too many poorly run teams who will reach on prospects nobody had going until round 5. Happens every year. One of those 20 will fall to Buffalo. -

If I were Beane, I would draft a tackle or two next year before I paid Dawkins anything in that range. I might even take one this year if it falls the right way in round 2 or 3. Dawkins isn’t elite, Ford has lots of room to improve, and Nsekhe is older and was hurt much of last year. -
This is the reality some of you may be presented with- My fiancé, early 30’s, has been through hell fighting off this stupid virus, 18-19 days now she’s still coughing, low grade fever still pops up from time to time (99-100, she runs usually 97.6). On her initial visit with her PCP, Doc said “a virus, not corona though, bc no high fever” (time to switch Primary’s) gave her some cough medicine and sent her on her way... Cough just continued progressing and it was accompanied by a constant heavyness in her chest, and said she feels like she is breathing through a straw all the time. Primary directed us to Urgent Care, where they did an X-ray and found “atelectasis” which is a partial collapse of the lung essentially. Now prescribed steroids, still no covid test however. Couple days go by, we are contemplating the ED but don’t want to put her at risk if it’s NOT Covid like her Doctor had told her. End up back at Urgent Care, she registers a resting heart rate of 132, but no EKG, no X ray, No Covid test, just an inhaler and codeine cough syrup (which has been the only thing that supressed her cough). Couple more days go by she’s complained of dizziness, pain in her arm and neck, night sweats, relentless cough, and trouble feeling like she’s getting breath. In this time she receives calls back days later from her initial call to the health department who says laughingly “sounds like you have coronavirus”, but they aren’t interested in testing to confirm, because she’s not Kevin Durant... So we make calls and speak to a physician who sounds like he’s actually concerned for her well being and wants her to be seen at a different URMC Urgent Care in Penfield, he says she needs an EKG. So we go, and they do two nebulizer treatments, and were about to send her on her way without an EKG. She had to fight to have them do it, once it was performed it showed abnormal ST-T waves, generally not a good sign. They tell her to follow up with the cardiologist the following day. Still no official Covid 19 testing, just assuming. All I’m thinking is what if it’s not Covid? Shouldn’t we know? If it’s not, doesn’t this current condition put her at extreme risk? In this time she was given 3 different cough medicines, steroids, a nebulizer treatment, X ray, EKG, even anti biotics despite no trace of fluid in her lungs, basically just throwing stuff at her, but no Covid 19 test so we could actually try and treat it properly. Next day things just not getting better, chest and neck pain continued and her primary finally orders her to the ED, so her father takes her to Strong because we have a 4 yr old (BTW through almost 20 days of essentially being locked in, he nor I have exhibited any real symptoms. I had a sore throat about 3 weeks ago for a couple days, and was a little tired. Our sons appetite maybe a little supressed but now fine). The ED has tents and looks like a scene out of an apolocytic movie. There they ran another EKG which came back much better thank God, and then proceeded to do two more nebulizer treatments. No Coronavirus testing however, those are reserved for individuals in critical condition, and Kevin Durant. She’s then given pamphlets that are basically the equivalent of “So, You have Coronavirus”, and told to quarantine and rest, but don’t hesitate to come back if symptoms get worse. Lots of praying, and rest she finally seems to be doing better. Still slight fever, and when the codeine wears off the cough starts creeping back. Strong said it could be another 2 weeks before she starts to feel like herself again. 1 PCP visit, 3 Urgent Care visits, and a trip to the ED. Tonight has been her best night in a long time. She’s the toughest woman I’ve ever known and an amazing mother to our young son. On top of this she also had a botched “routine” thumb surgery just a couple months back that cost her, her career as a permanent make up artist (microblading), 2020 hasn’t been very kind to her so while I’m not lookin for a pity party, we’ll take any of the thoughts, prayers, and/or good vibes you’d like to send our way. I will add that she does have some other underlying health issues but nothing of the life threatening variety, more chronic pain type issues. Not certain if this has played a role in her slow recovery, but most likely. Thanks for taking the time to read, everybody just stay safe, stay home if you can, and God Bless.

First off many thanks to your very underpaid wife. I just thought I’d share my experience here, as briefly as I can because it’s been a mess. Once again I truly appreciate your wife and all the nurses and doctors out there putting there lives at risk everyday to help battle this pandemic. Hopefully this country won’t ever be so ill prepared for such a catastrophe again, especially when there was so much time to prepare.
