Jim Kelly Was Better Than Brady Imo..
Delete_Delete_Delete replied to Billsfanatic8989's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Anybody else ever notice how some of the greatest players to ever play their sports were completely overlooked at some point in there careers… Jordan, Brady, Favre, even Kelly to a certain extent as his dream school, Penn St, wanted him to play Linebacker, … which by the way I love Jim, but cmon… not even close. But more importantly, back to my point of the greats being overlooked… that’s pretty much been the story of Josh’s entire football life and career up until he got that mega extension. I think as great as Jim was, we might be witnessing the beginnings of a very special story just really starting to unfold here in Western NY. Eventually the conversation will be Brady or Josh? -
Definitely said I would TRADE Beasley, not cut him outright so he can land on a threat to the division/conference. Also Homer’s tend to overvalue him, he’s an undersized WR in his 30’s coming off a broken leg, likely not much tread left on those tires. Josh made Beasley an “All Pro” last year, guys don’t just suddenly turn into All Pro WR’s at 31. I’m Bullish on the WRs behind him, and if they could find a trade partner, plus bringing back a WR Josh has established chemistry with in Smoke, while ridding the locker room of divisiveness and adding some draft capital for what’s supposed to be an absolute stacked draft class, that’s a win, win, win, win scenario right there. I get he’s a fan favorite, but I’m over all that nonsense. Beas is a good player, but hardly irreplaceable and I’m a fan of the team first and foremost, not an individual who might be here another year, or two tops. If you think he’s in Beane’s long term plans, I don’t think you’ve paid attention to the way Brandon runs a football team.

I’d trade Beasley for… just about anything at this point and resign Smoke if he’s vaccinated. I realize different skill set, but Sanders can fill Beasley’s role with relative ease, and Davis is ready to step into a bigger role. The Champs are 100%… If I’m Beane and McDermott, I would view anybody not getting vaxxed as someone who simply doesn’t want to win bad enough to be on my team . Personal beliefs aside, the rules give a competitive advantage to those who are vaccinated, period. Games in this league are way to close to be giving an opponent any sort of advantage. The article is 100% right, and I bet a clown like Beasley has little to no trade value- unvaccinated 32 yr old loud mouth distraction isn’t going to be worth much.

Can't see it, I think the coaching staff likes Moss' downhill, thumping running style too much to provide Singletary with enough carries to hit that mark. While I think Devin on another team would certainly be capable of rushing for 1000+ yards, on this offense there are simply too many mouths to feed.

It’s almost like people expected a dude who made his billions destroying the environment to be a good guy and do the right thing. Only one thing matters to these people and it always amazes me that they never seem to have enough of it…

Interesting... NFL QB's NBA equivalent
Delete_Delete_Delete replied to cage's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The Giannis comparison to Allen is perfect. Greek Freak was about as raw as it gets as an NBA prospect entering the league with elite physical abilities and a desire to learn and a dedication to be the best. Now he’s a former back to back league MVP and current NBA world champion… at age 26. -

Probably not a popular take, but considering the way the government routinely flushed our tax dollars down the toilet, like the obscene waste of materials, supplies and military vehicles/equipment left behind in unspecified foreign country that was occupied for the past 20 years… Those are our tax dollars being left behind and looted. Why not atleast get something we can all enjoy and keeps our team here, and bring some joy to our lives. So Pegula benefits, do I really care? I’ll never meet or know the guy, I don’t care about his personal wealth, I just want my team here. If I honestly had faith in politicians (on both sides of the aisle) to do something more meaningful with my tax dollars I might be more hesitant, but they’ll probably waste it on something stupid like the Fast Ferry anyway.

Comparison to 90s SB teams
Delete_Delete_Delete replied to BoccesOnTransit's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
In this hypothetical, are we getting like peak Kelly, Reed, Bruce and MVP Thurman??? If so I don’t see how you bet against that, even though I think Josh will be the most talented and accomplished QB ever to play for this franchise once his career comes to a close in 2045… The dual threat of Thurman vs the current iterations struggle against the run combined with Kelly’s ability to run the no huddle and mix it up. It would look a lot like the infamous “No punt game” vs the Niners -
I want as much quality depth as possible. Normally I’d be all about trading aging players for draft picks, but this team is looking to win a title now. All In. Unless he can be packaged to finally swing Ertz, just stack the depth on the Edge, especially since I see Obada kicking inside on 3rd downs.

America no longer exists
Delete_Delete_Delete replied to oldmanfan's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
We need separate countries, it seems inevitable to me. I just don't know how the other country survives without New York or California but I can't wait to find out. I personally don't care about the vaccine, I believe it's a personal choice, especially since it isn't FDA approved and the limited testing time for side effects, regardless of where you stand there, the entire mask debate is a weird hill to die on. Regardless of what YOU think, Covid, the pandemic, it's all real, I promise. I got Covid, guess what happened... nothing, I had scratchy throat. My 32 yr old wife also got Covid back in March 20 when nobody knew anything about the virus... She suffered a collapsed lung, was sick about two months couldn't even get a test, let alone proper treatment. She's anything but overweight, was healthy, and in the age group where nothing was supposed to happen. Then there was the Post Viral illness, aka "long covid" lead to hair loss, lung scarring, POTS, chronic fatigue, brain fog, and last but not least, a stroke... I'm not looking for pity, I'm looking for idiots to stop politicizing a pan freaking demic. Stop acting like a bunch of felines when it comes to masks... What is the big deal??? It's a small piece of cloth that helps other people maybe not die... These gun loving dolts are so tough but can't be bothered to cover their ugly faces at wegmans so grandma and grandpa don't die a horrible, painful lonely death. If past generations could see what's become of this country today I doubt they would make the same sacrifices all over again, since so many can't even "sacrifice" covering their stupid faces. You don't think your kids should mask, then homeschool them. Can't do that? Then move to a school district that doesn't require teachers to be alive in order to teach your snot nosed kids. -

What was your worst take ever?
Delete_Delete_Delete replied to stevestojan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
"This Netflix thing will never work..." When I was being forced to push it at... Media Play (rip). In my defense it was when they were only renting DVDs by mail, streaming wasn't a thing yet. I was also pretty bullish that Trent was the answer... Annnnnd, I was fairly certain the "glory days" were back after Fitz beat the Pats, with that hot start which lead to the contract extension. -
1. Chiefs 2. Browns 3. Bills
Delete_Delete_Delete replied to Inigo Montoya's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The fact that Josh is THAT much better than Baker isn’t everything but it’s the most important factor as to why they won’t eclipse Buffalo, likely ever. Browns came close to beating Henne... Meanwhile how did they look in their two games vs the Ravens who the Bills completely smothered defensively. In two games vs the Ravens, the Browns gave up 85 points and lost both. The Bills allowed 3 points, the Browns 42.5 per game, so forgive me for thinking this entire argument is a giant steaming pile of garbage basing it on the fact they signed an underachieving DE and drafted a bunch of unproven players just like everybody else did. As if them filling holes in the draft is somehow better than the Bills addressing their need at the edge. If you’re going to cherry pick how they did vs the Chiefs, while still LOSING, without a full game of Mahomes, then you can’t neglect how they got completely owned by the Ravens while Buffalo did the polar opposite not even allowing a single TD.
