  1. Early candidate for catch of the year
  2. It would be a failure. Championship or bust.
  3. If he can play safety, he could probably start.
  4. Stood the entire game in club level for the Pats Bills playoff game. Usually don't like standing all game but it felt warmer to stand and not sit on the bench even with a blanket.
  5. Actually the worst fate for a team is to draft a QB high and then have him suck. Cardinals the only team I can recall that went back to back QB in the first round to correct their prior mistake. Bills drafted Allen after making the playoffs the season before. Agree its probably easier to have a terrible season and draft a QB high, but that's not the only way to do it.
  6. No thanks to either.
  7. We have the best QB in the league. You don't take the ball out of his hand. Brady never had a decent run game. Green Bay was hit or miss. Peyton had a solid run game in Indianapolis but not in Denver. KC has no sig run game. Rams did with Jackson for a while but no longer. NFL has changed even in bad weather. That said when Singletary was doing well at the end of the year the offense was unstoppable. There will be games this year or perhaps more accurately portions of games where we will need the run game to step up. Even MVP QBs have off days.
  8. Jerry Hughes still getting it done. Nowhere near what Miller is doing but still a capable rusher.
  9. I was wrong about the Vikings. Cousins sucks and Hurts is much improved. Still think the Chargers are legit. My top 5 1. Bills 2. Chiefs 3. Bucs 4. Chargers 5. Dolphins Bottom 5 32. Seattle 31. Chicago 30. Indianapolis 29. Houston 28. Carolina No idea why I switched from team name to city...lol
  10. Why does everyone expect Oliver back? He was ruled out early for Tenn suggesting he isn't even close to coming back. Settle practiced so that makes sense that he is close.
  11. Good for him. Cook will start taking some of Moss' carries in the next few weeks.
  12. If he was they would have extended him already. I'm done arguing about the past and I vowed weeks ago to just evaluate his play this year. That's what I'm doing. He is playing well. On to Miami
  13. Agreed. Much harder to do than it seems and only a few select teams have been able to do it consistently. That's why many of us wanted Von last year. We missed a SB last season. Glad Beane is about as close to all in as he can be this year. Im a broken record at time. The only two moves Beane/McD have made I dont agree with this season are not bringing back Jerry and choosing Sweeney over Howard. Many of us wanted a veteran CB, but judging how Benford has played they must have figured out early they had a late round gem.
  14. No doubt they are playing very well with better pass rush. I think even the most ardent fans would agree last years #1 defense was a mirage. This year's looks like the real deal. Edmunds is doing exaclty what us doubters hoped for. He is playing at a high level in a contract year. Good for him. If he keeps it up then go ahead and extend him. If the price is too steep longvterm then they can still tag him.
  15. Thats a very solid comparison. Same body frame. Not elite speed but enough to get deep. Great hands. Uses boundary well. Good post!
  16. Same way you have to deal with KC and how they should deal with Miami. Rush four drop 7 in deep shell. Hell rush 3 and drop 8 at times. Stunt your DL to try and create some pass rush lanes. Hope for a 1:1 pass blocking breakdown. Bills OL is still a work in progress. Saffold did not look good in pass blocking Monday but Brown looks improved to me. Probably have the most success rushing up the middle. Get Saffold or Morse moving laterally and then have the DE loop back around. Or rush a guy in the gap between Bates and Morse to occupy Morse and then bull rush Saffold.
  17. Joe Haden just announced he is retiring a Brown. Cross him off the list of possible additions if Jackson can't go. Link https://www.nfl.com/news/three-time-pro-bowl-cb-joe-haden-retiring-as-a-brown-after-12-nfl-seasons
  18. Thought he swung and missed... oh well yes then its bravado and stupidity
  19. Interesting. I have not seen many other games so I will take your word for it. If they call it the same across the board I can live with it. It wasn't a violent collision but still unnecessary.
  20. I think this is a reasonable take. Yes the player should know the situation as well but the coaches should be making those decisions and letting the players know.
  21. Agree. They did a wonderful job of not letting him get much momentum except on the TD run. Good team tackling but even better individual efforts from guys like Rousseau and Benford.
  22. Yup. Thomas is on the list of top 5 all time LTs. Revis was great and a HOF talent but I don't think he is in the conversation of top 10 at CB.
  23. No I especially don’t miss everyone claiming the refs had the fix in against the Bills or the media was against them. We sucked or at best were mediocre for 17 years. They are now the talk of the NFL and media darlings. And now that they are winning the ref complaints have died down. Shocking...
  24. False bravado. Hate that crap. Same thing with Hyde hitting that WR when the ball was nowhere close. Completely unnecessary and should have been a flag. And I dont want to hear from you homers that it was fine. If that was Diggs getting hit unnecessarily you would be screaming for a flag.
  25. Its scheme and design. It seems they are intent on going for it on 4th down so they are treating 3rd and 1 like any other down and distance. Therefore they are in shotgun and running plays that are not necessarily designed to pick up 1 yard. That is all fine and cute when it is 70 degrees out. But that may not work in December and January. Time to go heavy, blow some guys off the ball and let your RB do their job. If its only a few inches it should be a quick snap and QB sneak every time.
