  1. That's not even true. Last season he caught multiple crossing routes and multiple deep outs along the boundary. Yesterday he had a 20 yard reception on a stop route that was perfectly executed. He's more than just a deep shot guy.
  2. A little disappointed in Elam but he should be fine in the long run. Cook. Meh. Not super fast and doesn't run hard. Don't see 2nd round talent there but its early. Bernard - hated the pick then and hate it now. True waste of a pick. Any WR or OL in the 3rd round would have been a better choice. Shakir - doesn't seem quick enough to be your full time slot guy. Looks like a 4th WR that can split time inside and out. Decent depth guy. Benford - surprise late round gem who hopefully starts at safety next year or 2024
  3. He's a hit and miss #2. Thats pretty much how most #2's are. He made some nice plays yesterday. The issue is Dorsey needs to use Knox more. The great teams now use the TE as the number 2 or even number 1 pass catching threat. Knox has that ability. I was fine with the throw to Knox at the ned of the game. It showed the type of calls Doresy needs to make. If Allen puts that 1 yard closer to the sideline it is game over and everyone is talking about how they closed out the game with Knox.
  4. You could see the flag thrown in the replay before he let go of the ball. My guess is he knew he had a free play. Maybe not but the flag was right in his line of sight.
  5. Actually its not. The plays are designed for a certain read progression against a certain defense. I would find it hard to believe there is more than 1 or 2 plays designed to go to Shakir as the fourth WR. In most cases the fourth WR is only used to move a safety or other CB out of an area to free space for your #1,2, or 3. It has little to do with chemistry and trust.
  6. I'm done with the McKenzie experience as well. Give me John Brown or Shakir in the slot. With Brown and Diggs on the field at the same time, either can go deep or across the field.
  7. I agree with that. Even Epenesa seemed to be rushing with more technique. Rousseau was a beast and Oliver was good. Settle and Jones held their own quite nicely for most of the game too.
  8. I don't get your point. They were legal hits on the QB. Why would the game plan be any different versus anyone else?
  9. I accounted for those. The stats don't lie. It was a 2:1 pass called play to run called play in a game that was played in rain and wind.
  10. They aren't but they have a better defense than the Chiefs.
  11. It feels off because most would have guessed those three losses would have been some combination of the Rams, Ravens, Chiefs, and Titans. To beat all those teams and lose two division games and then to lose the MInn game the way they did feels unsettling. It also feels off because we can all see JA is not playing lights out football. If he plays this way against KC or Cinci the Bills likely lose. Cinci defense is every bit as good as the Jets. At this point I would rather face KC on the road than Cinci at home. All that said, we must put all our faith in Josh. He is the only reason they have a shot at the SuperBowl.
  12. Misleading stats. JA finished with 27 pass attempts. But there were many more called passes. He was sacked three times and scrambled on at least three or four more. So the ratio is really more like 17 called runs vs 34 called pass plays.
  13. I agree. A WR and at least three OL should be drafted next year. I'd consider tagging Poyer and just sign Edmunds to a long term deal at this point. From a cap perspective that is probably the most forgiving for next season.
  14. How about the fourth 1 and play with Knox under center? How about the roll out corner pattern to Brown? How about lining up Diggs inside a ton this game to keep him away from Sauce? From those perspectives Dorsey did fine. I just question why not more early runs. I want to see Dorsey run with JA under center more. I couldn't tell from the TV how many underneath routes JA did not take. I will trust that you are accurate and say if they were there and Josh pushed the ball downfield then Dorsey did his job and JA didn't.
  15. Agreed. I was fine with the play action kill shot to Knox. A better throw and that is 20 yards a first down and the game is over. They could have and should have burned more clock two drivers earlier.
  16. Agree. If it was 4th and 10 it would be different.
  17. OP this is the modern NFL. QBs run. Thats just how the game is played. Did you see how Mike White got hurt? Do you remember how Josh hurt his elbow? Let it go. Running Josh in designed plays or scrambles is fine.
  18. Josh has to cut outside
  19. Ok if you Saleh do you kick away or Offside? With 3 TO I would kick deep
  20. Agree with Romo. Play for the TD this close.
  21. It hit the TE inthe foot. That wasn't the OT it was the TE blocking Rousseau
  22. The block wasn't his fault
  23. Saleh is stupid. He just wasted 40 seconds
