First it was the Atlanta Falcons, now the Phoenix Suns

Twin Fair...another one I had forgotten, as well as Two Guys. Thank you for that. I think many stores are going the catalog way to minimize costs associated with having a large inventory, as well and/or to reduce theft. -

I had always called it "pop" in WNY growing up, but when I moved to New England for college, I learned most people called if "soda" and I quickly adapted. Now "pop" sounds weird to me, lol. Ha! We were 45 minutes or more from Buffalo and all the malls, so our town had to adapt. -

I had forgotten! You have a good memory. There was one in my small town. And a McCrory's and Woolworth. And a Sear's catalog store, JC Penney catalog store, and Montgomery Ward's catalog store. And a Present Company (most people here probably don't even know what that was!...or a catalog store). Times have really changed. -

There were 11 in WNY in 1984 according to an article I read. Cheektowaga, Depew, Fredonia, the Jamestown one you mentioned, the North Tonawanda one Freddie's Dead mentioned, what else?. Not sure of the others There were other department stores too likes Ames and Zayre, before Walmart moved in. -
It's "ice bowl 67": https://www.twobillsdrive.com/community/profile/14246-ice-bowl-67/ No posts since October 2022. Zerovoltz. Also, there is "Billl", who is more of a troll.

Bills Pats Flexed to 4:30 Kickoff [December 22nd NOT Jan 5th ]
chongli replied to Diggstheprocess's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well, the assignment of announcer teams to games is typically made weeks before, so I wouldn't read anything into that. Miami and SF are not making the playoffs. Most of the country would rather see Josh, especially given how the Bills have been playing recently. Plus, for a weak slate of games this week, the flex gives CBS more protection to switch viewing areas to other games should one become a blowout. -
You have a point. I couldn't care less about the posters, but too many good people here think some of these posters are legit, and I want to be able to prove to them they are frauds. I don't like that they are successfully deceiving honest people and Bills fans. I am not actively looking for evidence, but when I do see their posts, if I have time, I read over them a little more carefully.

How about this? -
Filtyh has left this board, AFAIK, but still posts awful takes on twitter in support of KC (and Baltimore, Pittsburgh, Houston, even Cincy...any team which is not Buffalo). He takes every chance he gets to take something positive for Buffalo and spin it negatively.

I remember in the 80's growing up in WNY. Hills had 10¢ (or was it 15¢?) hotdogs and 5¢ sodas one day a year. That was super cheap, even back then. My grandfather took me there and told me to go hog wild. He kept on asking me if I wanted more hotdogs, lol. I was full, but got one more to make him happy. (And the location will remain undisclosed because sometimes Bills fans give me a hard time when I say where.) He can't. The Bills are one of the lowest-valued franchises in football. -
We beat Miami the last game of 2017 but had to have the Rat Birds lose for us to qualify for the post season and end the 17 year drought. Andy Dalton connected late to Tyler Boyd for the Bengals to stun Baltimore at Baltimore. Bills fans en masse donated $17 to Dalton's charity. ("17 "was the years we had a drought.) This started the trend of other teams' fans donating to a player!s charity when he had troubles, like Tua with his concussion or Damar with his incident. There are tons of YT videos of the locker room celebration and Bills fans celebration compilations: https://www.buffalobills.com/video/watch-locker-room-and-fan-celebration-20176095 https://www.buffalobills.com/video/nfl-turning-point-the-moment-the-drought-ended-in-buffalo-20196149

Yeah, Jimmy Spagnola, but people call him "Spags". His last post was "Jets gotta problem", lol. As well as that Bengals fan ("Caesar"??).
-
Some forums don't allow other teams' fans, per their explicit rules, like Jungle Noise.

He used to post on the old BBMB. Same persona, but a slightly different user name. Too nice. I was always suspicious of him. I tried to be alert so I could catch him in the act.
-
Like Filthy Idiot? Not so sure. See my response to MJS above:
-
Spags? He once referred to Josh as a "surfer boy". Most Bills fans knew he grew up in the Central Valley of California, far away from southern California. So he has to be a Jets fan. PatsFanNH?
-
Billl?? I think he is a troll. Not Zerovoltz. Jimmy Spagnola

Good analysis. What made the 12-minute drive by the Bills back in the day more remarkable was that the game clock stopped on each out-of-bounds play, unlike today, when it only occurs later in the half.
-
Great call on your part. I agree 100%. (Also, should have been used in the NBA when Jason Kidd "spilled" his drink on the sidelines as coach of the then New Jersey Nets, lol.)

I was way too young then. That link I posted above lists all the attempts of the fair catch FG's they can find, but they also say there could be others, since box scores of old games do not mention if a FG was a free kick. They have to go by any game reports they can find, which are hit or miss.
