  1. I got an autograph as a kid from a guy competing for an OL spot in TC at Fredonia in 1981. He was no one famous. In fact, he was so obscure, I don't remember his name and tossed his autograph. I also got Joe Ferguson's autograph.
  2. Against Miami, obviously. ? They need one or two games to figure out who is going to be cut. They need the third game so they starters can tune up. In that game, most teams have the starters play three quarters. The rule would only be applied to the regular 22 starters. Special teams would not be affected. They could play all 18 games.
  3. I believe incentives/player motivation is overrated. It really comes down to skill. The team that feels disrespected by your playing your backup QB might have more motivation, but it will not do that much if you suck anyway. Look at the Bills: we have had plenty of motivation that last 17 years or so to beat the Patriots, but we haven't won that much. Also, how would one more regular season game eliminate many of the tie breaker situations? Or just have each team play an international game each year. Or just have them alternate each year: one year 9 home games and 8 away, and the next the year the opposite.
  4. That would be too boring. Do it how the NFL did it in the 80's: you play two teams each from those two other inter-conference divisions instead of just one. You either play the first and third place teams in the division from last year or the second and fourth place teams.
  5. It would actually hurt individual player records. For example, Josh Allen would not be able to pad his stats again bad teams like Miami, as the Bills would surely to choose to sit him in those two games, as everyone agrees they are tanking this season. The teams would go with the final two games if the QB was injured, if they have already clinched a playoff spot/homefield advantage, or if they were out of contention.
  6. The league belongs to the owners. They can do with it what they wish. This is how capitalism works. Teams do care about their players and even former players. Why do you think the Boston Red Sox flew David Ortiz to the US in a medical plane from the Dominican Republic even though he had been retired for years?
  7. Plus, they couldn't even break it if they tried, as those players would be inactive that week, by rule. How?? When they added two games to the 14 game schedule of the 70's, nothing changed. OJ's and Jim Brown's rushing records stood for years after that. So did Babe Ruth's homerun record in MLB when they added more games.
  8. In two games, the 22 regular starters could not appear at all. The rule would not apply to special teams players. Players are allowed to start up to 16 games per season. No gimmicks, like your back-up QB starting for one play on two games and then your starter going in. They tried having two bye weeks years ago, in the 90's I think. Everyone hated it. Fans of each team went crazy on those two bye weeks. It lasted only that year. In which case you can eliminate the single bye week then...if the purpose of the bye week is only to add an extra game.
  9. Then the car dealers would be upset, since that is a weekend they do a lot of business. And also the NBA All-Star Game is around that time, isn't it?
  10. 1. New England - 10-6 2. Buffalo - 5-11 3. NY Jets - 5-11 4. Miami - 3-13
  11. People said the same thing when the Bills drafted JP Losman. They said he was the next Snake. Let's not get too optimistic yet.
  12. Probably not best to post the entire article, which is a violation of the TOS.
  13. "I tried to end his life" Yep, great "process" guy with great character. He should play with Kellen Winslow Jr., who is a soldier.
  14. After drafting him with the first overall pick in 2004, San Diego traded Eli Manning to the Giants later that day for Phillip Rivers and a ton of draft choices. I think you can trade a player as long as you have the rights to him.
  15. My favorite TB video is when he drops his mouthpiece in a Bills game:
  16. There was no SB in the 40's or 50's. Technically, 2000 is the last year of the 20th century, so they did not win one. This is the year the Bills should have been playing the Rams in the SB, had it not been for the Music City Miracle.
  17. Nickell Robey-Coleman was just caught gloating how he pass interfered with New Orleans. Saints fans are going bonkers.
  18. Hmmm...which team does Hunt sign with: Chicago or Buffalo. Really hard choice...not. This thread is just fantasy for the posters here. EDIT: Why can't I vote in the poll?
  19. The only good thing is now I get to see the Rams pummel the Patriots. They are favored by 1 point. If it had been the Chiefs, they would have been favored by 3 over the Rams. So the Rams get to play the weaker team.
  20. It was unfair for the Chiefs since the defenses are usually gassed by this point. If KC had won the toss, they most likely would have won. BTW, I searched for the two threads last month about this very same topic (OT rules need to be changed), and they weren't in the results. I tried every word, like "OT", "rules", and "overtime". I would have been the one to start this thread if I had enough posts.
  21. The call was missed, but what is for sure is that former Bills players are dominating in the championship games. First NRC made the play against the Saints, and now Reggie Ragland intercepted the Patriots at the goal line. This is a good sign for the future. The Bills know how to develop players.
  22. So what grades did those three Duke stars (Reddish, Wililamson, Barrett) have to get into Duke?? The part I quoted is all I need: "Burger King (BK) is an American global chain of hamburger fast food restaurants. Headquartered in the unincorporated area of Miami-Dade County, Florida, " American...headquartered in Florida.
  23. According to wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Burger_King "Burger King (BK) is an American global chain of hamburger fast food restaurants. Headquartered in the unincorporated area of Miami-Dade County, Florida, the company was founded in 1953 as Insta-Burger King, a Jacksonville, Florida–based restaurant chain."
