  1. Got it. Thanks. Guess I need to get a TV to watch, lol. Lots of people I knew growing up in WNY in the 80's/90's moved to that area. Lots of Bills fans there, and also an old Adams Division rivalry between the Sabres and Hurricanes that was preserved from when they used to be the Whalers.
  2. I am just tired of other teams' fans making fun of the Bills. Whenever I have a disagreement with someone, they remind of Buffalo's four straight Super Bowl losses and Norwood's Wide Right, or the Music City Miracle. It is time other teams got bore this brunt. Buffalo has not been great over the past 19 years or so, but we have done a lot better than franchises like Cleveland or Oakland or Tampa Bay.
  3. I see what you are saying, but I think the fact that Parker missed a chip shot basically on a 12-4 teams, vs. a bad 9-7 team in the wild card round, is a bigger choke than a 47-yard miss back in 1991 in the Super Bowl. Or at least they are the same. It's time someone else besides Norwood got jeered. To me, a block is the same as a miss. He should have kicked it higher to avoid a potential block.
  4. There were three Buffalo plays or events that made ESPN's top 50 NFL Great Moments of All Time list (or whatever it was called) a few years ago: Wide Right, The Comeback, and the Music City Miracle. I remember them doing a countdown and releasing a moment every week during the year. It was like 10 years ago. Well, a few years ago in 2017, Buffalo lost the title of having the greatest comeback ever to the New England Patriots, who came back from a 25-point deficit to beat Atlanta in Super Bow LI. Yes, I do realize the Bills had a larger deficit (32 points) to come back from against Houston in 1993, and that the Bills were missing three key players due to injury at that time (Kelly, Thomas, Bennett), and that Houston's defense was better than Atlanta's; but the consensus on the Buffalo message boards at that time was the title rightfully belonged to New England, since theirs was done on a grander stage. I was bummed after that, knowing we would be second fiddle to the Pats again. But on Sunday, we got a present. Cody Parker missed a 43-yard field goal at home, known around the world as the "double doink", causing his team to lose 16-15 to the Eagles. To me, this was a bigger miss than Scott Norwood's 47-yard "wide right" miss in Super Bowl XXV. For one, it was shorter, hence easier. Two, 28 years ago, a 47-yard FG was harder to make, especially on grass. It was a 50-50 proposition back then, or less, unless you were Gary Anderson or the like. It was nothing to be embarrassed about. But a 43-yarder today should be a chip shot, unless the weather or field conditions are bad. Therefore, Scott Norwood is no longer a goat to me. People will now be talking about Parker's miss for years to come, and forget about Norwood. Norwood can finally live his life in peace, and people can stop teasing me about "wide right" everytime I get into a football argument with fans of other teams.
  5. Thanks, haha! I was just being stupid. I thought of Utah Salt, but that would be bizarre. But it does sound kind of WNBA'ish.
  6. Buffalo would never ever get an expansion team after a team left us. Still waiting for a replacement for the NBA Braves. The Bills had their chance to beat them that year (and should have), but lost in the infamous Homerun Throwback.
  7. Is it? Buffalo had the Braves and Stallions go. The Braves became the Clippers.
  8. So what should the Chargers have been called when they were in San Diego?
  9. You are forgetting the "bird" incident in November of 2009. https://deadspin.com/5405757/crazy-old-man-gives-bills-the-bird
  10. No. Why? You must have lived in a different Philadelphia than I did. I found the Philadelphia fan repugnant and low class. The Bills used to have the Jills. We need them back.
  11. I had a friend from Russia whose favorite team was Buffalo. He pronounced the team name as "BEEL" (rhymes with "meal") instead of Bills.
  12. I doubt there are many Rams fans in Vegas since they spent most of their years in St. Louis. Denver is the closest city geographically to SLC, therefore I suspect must Utahns are Broncos fans. That could change when the Raiders move to Vegas next year, although given the population is Mormon, I doubt they would support a Raiders team.
  13. Depends on the fanbase, and also the team: When I lived in southern Maine and everybody was a Patriots fan, I couldn't stand it. They thought their Patriots were so good--this was in the 90's when they went to the Super Bowl under Drew Bledsoe. The reality is they sucked. The Bills owned them. When I lived in Philadelphia in the oughts (2000's), I went crazy as the typical Philadelphia sports fan was snarky. They are a bunch of drunken blowhards who live for the Eagles. They say "E - A - G - L - E - S - Eagles!". The Eagles are their lives since they are desperate for a championship. Total loser, uneducated, working class, snowy town. Disgusting. They also thought the Phillies and Cole Hamel was the sh*t, lol. Now that I live in the the San Francisco, sports fans are more classy, more refined. Their teams exhibit true sportsmanship. So I liked when the 49ers were winning under Colin Kaepernick, and I love the Warriors and Giants, except when they are playing Buffalo's official MLB team (the Yankees)--and they are the official Buffalo team--look it up..
  14. Who are the 19.31% of people who voted for a "Wild Card Home Game"? LOL. This aren't the 80's anymore.
  15. The video I posted above shows how good the facilities are. McD says the locker room is like the Hall of Fame.
  16. Th Bills have a world-class facility at OBD. This is a partial tour when McD arrived in 2017: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FObhkISNRFI
  17. Really?? A fundraiser to pay the fine of a millionaire? How about a fundraiser to help the homeless or other charitable causes? No, see my comment above.
  18. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001007053/article/top-25-nfl-rookies-of-2018-saquon-barkley-leads-final-rankings 1. Saquon Barkley 2. Baker Mayfield 3. Derwin James 4. Darius Leonard 5. Bradley Chubb 6. Quenton Nelson 7. Phillip Lindsay 8. Leighton Vander Esch 9. Nick Chubb 10. Denzel Ward 11. Roquan Smith 12. Lamar Jackson 13. Sam Darnold 14. Josh Allen "Allen used his legs and big arm to keep the Bills competitive despite a very suspect offensive line and nondescript weapons in the passing game. 15. Tremaine Edmunds "Edmunds has rare size for his position and he was ultra-productive for the Bills this fall." 16. Mike McGlinchey 17. Calvin Ridley 18. Jaire Alexander 19. Anthony Miller 20. Sony Michel 21. Donte Jackson 22. Fred Warner 23. B.J. Hill 24. Michael Dickson 25. Braden Smith Between the two above players listed, the NFL posted a video of Josh's top 10 plays from 2018. I suspect his throw to Clay at Miami would have been the top play had Clay caught the ball. http://www.nfl.com/videos/nfl-game-highlights/0ap3000001006887/Josh-Allen-s-top-10-plays-2018-season
  19. The search function in the top right corner is your friend. The same question was asked here a month ago. People have been suspended for posting without checking first.
  20. No, she did not drop the charges. She was ready to testify in this case and was disappointed the DA decided to drop the charges due to lack of evidence, as all the news articles say. Which is completely irrelevant. With your line of reasoning, a woman who had been sexually loose in the past would not make a good witness in a rape trial. No charges but Ezekiel Elliott was still suspended by the NFL.
  21. The NBA changed to seed by record a few years ago when Dallas did not get the 2 seed in the conference. How is that bad? That was in 2010 when the Seahawks won their division at 7-9, but went on to beat New Orelans in the famous Beast Quake game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7aakj14HPpE
  22. Most mocks have us drafting Greg Little at 9, with Williams going much earlier. The last time we drafted an OL in the first round was 2002, when we drafted Mike Williams at 4. How did that turn out?
  23. The Bills should have had a player when it was announced a few weeks ago. For example, in the NHL, each team is required to have at least one player named to the All-Star Game.
