They were working on his hand after the play. He got hit way too much today, Dorset did a bad job of protecting him

We've done it 3 weeks in a row. Finally cost us today.

Enough blame to go around, but 2 things caught my attention. 1. The attitude that the game was over. Very surprising to hear from a McDermott led team. 2. Lack of situational awareness. Mentioned how they had to worry about the sidelines. KC had all their timeouts, or at least the 2 they used. Sidelines meant absolutely nothing. Glad we upgraded the position with speed.

I wanted a CB in the 1st, Booth specifically, but I obviously will side with the judgement of the professionals. The more I see and read about Elam, the more I like. Who says he can't be better or as good as sauce. We shall see. I wanted Cook in the 3rd, but we got him late second, so I'm still happy about that. My only disappointment is not trading up in the second, and allowing the remaining top WR to get gobbled up. If we could of landed Pierce and Cook, I would be over the moon. Linebacker we drafted was a head scratcher, but the more I read about him, the more it makes sense. We got a lot bigger and stronger on the dline, which allows us to get away with smaller more athletic linebackers. I could see this guy and Milano as the 2 starters next year. This guy seems to be far superior to Edmunds with play speed/instincts.

Nice write up, couldn't agree more. I think the piece about his next step with audibles, I'm wondering how much of that we maybe saw in the playoffs.

I don't care how we do it, but I would like 1 from each list. 1. Breece Hall 2. Kenneth Walker 3. James Cook 1. Alec Pierce 2. Christian Watson 3. George Pickens 4. Sky Moore

Do you take a corner in the first?

I'll have to do some youtube scouting on Taylor Britt and Josh Williams. -

I don't disagree there. But here's where my thought is. WR1 Diggs WR2 Gabe Slot Crowder/McKenize TE1 Knox TE2 OJ CB1: Tre (doubtful to be ready) also don't know how he's going to look. It may take until year 2 to be fully back. CB2: Dane Jackson (who I like, but couldn't beat out Levi for the job last year) Slot: Taron More questions in the secondary. Plus I like the WR in rd 2/3, better than the projected CBs. I wouldn't mind Booth in rd 1 (no trade) and Watson/Pickens in Rd2 (trade up) or Pierce late 2 or 3. If we do trade up, I rather mortgage more of 2023 than 2022. -

We don't trade up for a back-up plan, we trade up to try and land the next superstar at CB. 4-5 years from now, Tre will be 32. Pefect time to stagger the contracts. -
I highly doubt he would ever come back to Buffalo, but I would be all for it. Not like he's going to give us the hometown discount.
-
If we want a running back to be a meaningful part of the offense, he has to be an above average pass catcher 1st, and runner 2nd.

Except that Moulds was a big, fast, physical freak.

If we go WR in the 1st or 2nd round, I fully expect us to put a big emphasis on speed 1st, and size second. I don't believe Beane will get a blazing small guy in the 1st. No one under 6ft in my opinion. That's why I'm thinking Watson Pierce Williams Pickens Williams is the least likely because of where he's projected to go, and his injury.

And Dawson Knox

Watson or Pierce

I hear where you were coming from, and Beane may agree with you, but CB is a premium position that always goes a little earlier than expected. I know we went with Rosseau last year, who I was happy with, but Beane mentioned that they had their eyes on a couple of corners, but they all went before they're pick. It comes down to how they have these guys graded, and how big the gaps are between tiers. The one thing that we have sorely missed in the secondary, is both speed and length. I don't think we wait around this year, it may not be as high as 7 or 5 with NYG, but I don't think they'll settle for whoever drops.

I don't know if it was this week's mmqb by Peter King, but it was definitely something Peter King wrote, about the 4 teams most likely to trade with NYG, and Buffalo was number 1. It also could of been when he was a guest on the Herd, sorry I don't remember the specifics, but this got me thinking, that we might already have the framework of a trade to move up with NYG, to get the top corner of the draft (Sauce Gardner). I know it would cost us 25# this year, 32 next year, and maybe even a mid round pick somewhere, but this would be the time to do it.
