Yes, you need HBO or HBO streaming via the Max app. It is a pay service. The usual cadence is to release an episode weekly covering the previous week's training camp. So I would imagine the first episode would be in early August.

Most Beloved Bills: 1 year (ok up to 2)
butch rolle replied to BillsShredder83's topic in The Stadium Wall
I'm so glad you guys mentioned Karlos. This is such a good pick. I live near the home of the Patriots now so I haven't been able to get to many Bills home games in my adult life. I did get out to Buffalo for the 2015 home game against Miami. Shady and Karlos both ran for over a hundred yards. I got to high five Greg Roman as he drove his SUV through the tailgate on the way out after the game! It really is true that Karlos ate his way out of the league. I totally get it though as I feel like I put on 10 lbs every time I come back home. My favorite sports nickname of all time might have been given to him... "Feast Mode"! -
Was the "practice" reference intentional? If so - well played!
-
Looking at the best available remaining receivers there is a guy named Tez Johnson from Oregon. 5'10, 154 lbs. If the bills are still running an "everybody eats" offensive philosophy, this guy better get drafted for his own survival.

Does anyone else still think about the fact that at one point the Bills 52nd pick, which came from Minnesota, was looking to be an early 2nd rounder maybe even as low as 35? Then the Vikings exceeded all expectations and the whole time I was thinking damn...

29? Where did the extra 4 years come from?
-
He really was special. That 2002 season where him and Peerless Price went off was one of the few bright spots of the drought era. Speaking of the drought era, will someone eventually make it onto the wall of fame? Personally, Kyle Williams is my all time favorite from that time but I'd have a tough time saying he was more dominant than Eric Moulds. Elbert Dubenion is up there and granted it's not fair to do a direct stat comparison from 35 years earlier, but what makes Moulds less qualified? Maybe just a victim of the poor teams he was part of vs Elbert's 2 AFL championships?

Josh Allen gets record contract extension $330 million
butch rolle replied to The 9 Isles's topic in The Stadium Wall
That's good to know. Do we have hard numbers yet on how much the extensions for Rousseau, Bernard, and Shakir freed up? -

Agreed! I'm dying to know how much cap space this freed up. -
Would You Consider Getting Tre if Cut By the Ravens ?
butch rolle replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall
Tre is not exactly a willing, let alone competent tackler... -
Thank you for all of these insights, Barley! I wish I had a better understanding of the cap. I listen to a lot of podcasts and I really enjoy Greg Thompsett's explanations on how the cap can be manipulated within reason, which is essentially a strategic "kicking of the can". So 2024 was definitely a "take your lumps" type of year with the cap but I guess I was foolishly optimistic about 2025 and being more middle of the pack as far as cap space. When I check out Spotrac's 2025 team cap space rankings, it looks pretty depressing to see the Bills sitting at 4th to last, with teams like the Chiefs and the Ravens having 4-5X more cap room. I know that there are levers to pull and ways to free up space but don't many teams have similar available options? In your opinion, are the Bill really close to the bottom of the league again as far as cap space or does this ranking not really paint an accurate picture? https://www.spotrac.com/nfl/cap/_/year/2025/sort/cap_maximum_space

Anyone else for using our draft capital for trades?
butch rolle replied to SoonerBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall
That is a good point but when you compare $3.2M to what Benford would command on the open market ($20M+ AAV) that still is crucial from a roster construction aspect. If we don't have a significant amount of starters on rookie deals, the math doesn't work. -
1/18 Texans @ Chiefs divisional playoff thread

That's what happens when you weigh 150 lbs soaked wet. The biggest knock on worthy -
Would you ever Bet Against the Bills?
butch rolle replied to Mikie2times's topic in The Stadium Wall
You captured my sentiments perfectly. And here I was thinking I coined the term " emotional hedge"! In fact, the last time I did this was that Bills Ravens playoff game 4 years ago. Best money I ever spent -
Is this Ravens game reminiscent of Buffalo/KC in 1991?
butch rolle replied to JaCrispy's topic in The Stadium Wall
I like the analogy except for one thing. Unlike Okoye, Henry IS playing this Sunday -
It's funny that this thread pivoted to Greg Rousseau and his value in relation to raw sack numbers. His QB hurries, pressure rate, and all other non-sack metrics are top 5-10. Will it actually help the bills in extending Rousseau if he ends with 8-9 sacks instead of 12+? I asked this exact question of Joe Marino on the Locked on Bills podcast and he answered it this morning:

I'll never understand how helmet to helmet penalties against the defense only seem to protect receivers. Running back gets cleaned out by the crown of a helmet - no one cares. Special teamer Newman for the jets gets smacked with a helmet - doesn't matter.

10/6/2024 - Bills at Texans post game thread.
butch rolle replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Allen definitely was forcing the issue with trying to stretch the field. That being said, the deep pass to Hollins seemed to be spot on. Hollins appeared to lose track of the ball or pull up for some inexplicable reason. -

butch rolle replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
I know there are bigger issues to talk about from this game than kickers but hear me out... When was the last time an opposing kicker missed one at the end of the game? Didn't most of you feel that the 59 yarder was almost a foregone conclusion? It was reminiscent of last year when the Bills had the Eagles dead to rights when Jake Elliot banged a 59 yarder into a driving rain to send the game into overtime. -
9/29/2024 Bills at Ravens 1st half game thread
butch rolle replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
It was 4th and 10 with the bills showing next to no ability to advance the ball more than 5 yards at a clip. Anyone that thinks that McDermott is a conservative coach doesn't know what they're watching. His fourth down aggression is amongst the highest in the league -
New Pardon My Take with Josh Allen and Blake Griffin
butch rolle replied to Toomstone.Part.Duex's topic in The Stadium Wall
Josh never got to play with Kyle. Man, what a bright spot of the drought era. Him and Fred Jackson deserved so much more -
I understand that there is to be some discrepancy between the eye test and the PFF grades but how in the hell is Terrel Bernard a 65.9 while Greg Rousseau is an 87.1?
-
It's such a strange position that the Buffalo Bills PR finds themselves in. You wonder if there will be even a mention of his passing on the official website. My guess is no. His name looms up there on the wall as I suppose it would just create even more attention if they were to take it down. You wonder if the wall will be created at the new stadium and this closes the chapter on any chance of the Juice being officially referenced any longer.

Its Pretty Obvious why the Chiefs win every year
butch rolle replied to gonzo1105's topic in The Stadium Wall
Taron Johnson is better at his position than at least half those guys. Was he an oversight or an intentional omission? -
Allen was legendary (even better than 13 seconds Allen)
butch rolle replied to Einstein's topic in The Stadium Wall
I find it so hard to put into words how I feel about Josh. He is simply the best thing that has ever happened to this franchise. At the same time, if I'm being objective, Mahomes is the better quarterback. How do you argue with the body of work at this point? Yet if you ask me if I do a straight up quarterback swap with the Chiefs, I'd say no way. I want the bills to win the Lombardi but I want it to be with Josh!
