  1. I thought this thread was going to be a link to the Kelce brothers new podcast that they are doing. Gronk was on recently and he discussed in some detail the whole situation about almost joining the Bills. He is a little vague in how he discusses it, but he says something like "if I had really felt it, I would have been a Bill this past year." He definitely confirms that the Bills talked with him and tried to get him on the team...which I LOVE. Good old Beane--the guy is the best thing about this franchise right now, save Josh. Sounds like Gronk's heart wasn't really in it and he didn't really want to come out of retirement. Maybe next year! We can hope. https://podtail.com/en/podcast/new-heights/gronk-on-travis-rivalry-nfl-comeback-relationship-/
  2. Yeah, you would have thought actual Buffalo Bills on the field right next to it would have cared about it. But apparently, no.
  3. Not surprising! The damned thing went on forever. A lot of it was made worse than necessary by the way the networks run their commercials.
  4. I would lower your 65% to 60%, then reverse it. I say 60% probability Bengals win, 40% Bills win. If Josh is on fire and doesn't turn the ball over, we'll win!
  5. The Dallas kicker needs to figure out how to get some of this cheating going! Dude missed 4 extra points in a row last night. You can't argue that is not PURE PSYCHOLOGY. And yet some people rely so heavily on statistics and refuse to accept that psychology is a HUGE part of sports, even at the highest levels.
  6. What you say here is a problem in ALL of reporting. Yet there is a balance of integrity that can--and is--struck by the best out there. At the local level, like Bills announcers in a tiny market, no one is going to say anything negative ever. It's also worth pointing out that the announce team ARE EMPLOYEES OF THE BUFFALO BILLS. You are talking about Jerry Sullivan which is really not an analogous example.
  7. I didn't notice this specifically, but I have noticed that the quality of a live sports broadcast in America seems to vary dramatically based on the cameras involved, and some of them are TERRIBLE. You would think all the big networks covering big time sports on TV would have more or less identical, really top notch, equipment. I guess not. I have noticed that the "HD" aspect of the camera will sometimes simply just disappear when they switch to a handheld camera at field level. Then they cut back to the main camera mounted somewhere up in the stadium and the HD returns. It can be terrible at times. On a related note, TBS/TNT has not been able to televise a live baseball game EVER. Every time they show early rounds of the playoffs, the audio is all screwed up. It's been that way for probably 15 years or more.
  8. In her day, a stunning beauty, kind of in the Sofia Loren mold. Look at her waist in this photo...what is that? Like 16" in circumference? One of a million gorgeous women to come from Italia...the land of beauty in all forms.
  9. Yeah, I don't have a problem with speaking ill of anyone--alive or dead. LOL
  10. How about doing something radical, like directing this question to the Buffalo Bills, and not bunch of idiots at a chat forum?
  11. You left off option 3: I respect the hell out of him NOW, have always done so, and will CONTINUE to do so once he retires. It's just that I HATE the guy. It's worth pointing out that had Tom Brady played the bulk of his good years in Buffalo, having arrived here by a total fluke during one of our horrific administrations over the years.... There would now be a 500 foot tall statue of him, in gold, in the center of Niagara Square. And WNYers would be naming their sons Thomas for generations. ***** Get that obelisk the hell out of there! That's where Brady's pillar goes!
  12. Having just watched Brady play last night, he reminded me how much BETTER Josh could be at realizing a play is just totally off and not going to work, and then throw the ball away. Brady has been GREAT at that his entire career. How many big mistake plays has he given the other team over his career? None? Josh is averaging it once a game this year.
  13. This has turned into the thread of idiocy. Useful to figure out who to block though!
  14. We are also still learning the Josh has a LOT of ups and downs to his play. He's not going to be like Brady or Rodgers or Bries in their primes. With Josh, you have to take the good and the bad, it's absolutely a part of who he is. And then you just hope the good outweighs the bad enough to win a championship.
  15. After yesterday's game I have been hearing this highlight where he said "He's hot as a firecracker!" His voice cracks in the middle of it. It sounds utterly ridiculous and like something a kid was doing. He is still massively better than Murphy, who is HORRIFIC. Murphy should be replaced but Buffalo being Buffalo, he probably won't be.
  16. Every other opponent is definitely NOT inferior....in fact, the next 3 teams we play (if we get that far) can all beat us badly if we don't play our "A" game. But I agree, not beating ourselves is the key; that's just another way of saying "stop playing sloppy football." The problem is we've been doing that for like 8 games now.
  17. If you want to B word about TV commercials during NFL games, I am right here to agree with you. But you made a mistake in your post. You said "it has killed the game." No it hasn't. It's HORRIBLE, and it does prohibit the viewer from getting a sense of immersion in the game, like you are actually watching an event. It's more of a constant stream of commercials interrupted by a few moments of football now and again. But obviously it hasn't killed the game. When viewership drops substantially, guess what? The commercial will be reigned back in. What I can't stand in particular is how they are now realizing they can squeeze a few more dimes of ad revenue out of doing baby "commercials" while technically NOT at a commercial break. They stay with the game, but put graphics on the screen and the play by play guy reads an ad off a card...then they go back to discussing the game. Sometimes they even run a prepared commercial video that lasts 15 seconds or whatever... So the "commercials" are definitely NOT limited to commercial breaks. My advice to you, brother: record all NFL games and watch them tape delayed. Wait about an hour to start, and FF through all breaks, delays, and halftime BS. You'll finish about at the same time anyway, but with no commercials and delays. I did that all weekend for the non-Bills games.
  18. I totally agree it's time for Josh to run like crazy; every game is time for him to rush like crazy. I've been saying for 5 years and it's still true: the most dangerous thing we do is a Josh Allen running play. O line will not "pick it up" with a quick gut check. They are very much league average and we all know about how well they play. They'll have a rough day. It's funny that after the Demar game, we find ourselves right back to where we were...only with a change of stadium. I agree we'll need to score a TON, but that's not the key to this one. We need to keep the self-inflicted wounds to ZERO for this one, and we haven't done that in like 8 or 9 games now. I lost count. You know, the kind that we suffered all day yesterday and that almost let Miami win a game in which they were dominated on the stat sheet. More of that next week and we're done.
  19. Didn't get that PM. Is your year of birth really that much of a secret? I don't even know who the hell you are! Hard to do much with a year and no further information. I was born the day before you and I was wondering if we were born in the same year. I'm guessing we are about the same age.
  20. Josh isn't reading your post, and he doesn't care about it. Also, what choice do you have other than to "ride or die" with Josh Allen? You're not involved in the decision making processes affecting this team. Just a little dose of reality for you on a Monday morning. πŸ€—
  21. like I said, don't need to take my word for it. Just wait a few days.
  22. Quite true! But that's because, at least for a portion of them, they succumb to some sort of strange psychological phenomenon whereby they associate themselves (the fan) with the team or player specifically. It's all one thing in their mind, so a criticism of the player/team amounts to a criticism of the fan. These people need to take a step back and gain a little clarity. They are NOT on the team and the team doesn't know who they are, or care about them. AT ALL. It's kind of fun to study though.
  23. The correct answer is not presented in the poll. There should be a third choice: send to Nextmanup for immediate and proper disposal.
  24. No "g" in his last name. He sounds about the same to me. But I'm not one of his many haters here.
