  1. There will be constant talk and speculation about his condition this week; that's all meaningless. He'll play next week, but he should still be pretty solidly hobbled. If nothing else, it's greatly reducing his ability to evade pressure in the pocket and he won't be a threat to run at all. That should be a HUGE help.
  2. Nah. Be a little stronger minded than that. I think most fans forget that those who make their living talking about sports, talk in a certain, inflammatory way, specifically designed to attract attention and make people mad. People are much more attracted to conflict than sensible, logical, safe comments. Look at how this place works. Say something save, nice, and likable about anything in your post will be ignored. Say it's time for McDermott to go and half the board will be coming after you with comments, some of whom will be doing over, and over, and over again in the same thread.
  3. Baltimore is the type of team that gives the Bengals trouble; we are exactly the opposite so any hope that last week's bad performance carries to our game is probably unlikely. THREE starting OLmen being out, though, should help.
  4. I think Philly wins, maybe easily...but I would LOVE for it to go the other way around, because Philly is the better team. I'm all in favor of the worst possible NFC team making it to the SB, if we can get there ourselves.
  5. Are you saying Kelly Holcomb wasn't a good quarterback?
  6. It's amazing how little "sports talk" out there actually discusses sports in the way Cosell discusses football. Nitty gritty Xs and Os tactical discussion of the game itself. I think there is a huge market for this stuff out there, but the media outlets don't know it. Instead it's all human interest type story lines. Listen to the questions the media asks McDermott after games! It's all emotional/feeling based garbage.
  7. I was listening to the radio yesterday, and they mentioned a talking head (can't remember the name) who analyzed the team and said our offense always looks stuck in mud or words to that effect, but then somehow ends up with 30 points at the end of the game. I.E., it ended up as a compliment of sorts, but the point was that we are NOT getting all out of it that we should be. He pointed the finger at the OC, saying we shouldn't expect him to be as good as Daboll. He felt like Dorsey has done a lot of clearly obviously WRONG things this year.
  8. Congresswoman Nancy Mace from South Carolina. Never heard of her. She was on the panel last night on Bill Maher's show. Wow is she annoying. Proudly announced, at age 45, that she is on her 3rd husband. I can see why! LOL
  9. Far, far too many to list. A few of my favorites off the top of my head: Apocalypse Now (with creepy synthesized music composed by Francis Ford Coppola himself, and his dad!) Bladerunner (the score from Vangelis makes the movie what it is) Star Wars and sequels (Can't imagine this franchise without John Williams' masterpiece) Gladiator (Hans Zimmer is one of the better guys out there currently writing cinematic music) The Godfather (the music from Nino Rota has become a part of American culture) The Mission (Ennio Morricone is one of the all time greats)
  10. We seem to do poorly on these *DREADED* Saturday afternoon games. I hate these things. Hockey is a night game. The Ducks do suck, so there's that. I think we'll be OK.
  11. Do you own stock in the NFL or something? Or that's right, it's privately owned by billionaires, not named SoCal Deek. The only reason to have these games is for them to "Grow the game" which means make more money than they already do. In the process, we lose a game we can easily see, the team is greatly disadvantaged with the travel, time zone change, and interference in their regimented weekly preparation for games, and it's all so a bunch of American tourists and ex-pats living in England, plus about 4,000 curious Brits, can watch a football game. It sucks!
  12. CORRECT! Diggs all day long, if we can't have Josh as the answer. If we win, it'll be b/c we outscored these guys in the 30s. And to that, Josh and Diggs will have to have huge days.
  13. You forgot point 6! 6. Are actually more likely to be available to work in non-WNY locales because the economy of WNY can't support them there. LOL
  14. Ha! That's the story of this forum! People are here to participate in conversations with differing people with differing opinions, but then 90% of the talk is in-fighting among Bills fans because they don't agree with one another. It's a bit odd, isn't it?
  15. They were just talking on the radio about how badly Ticketmaster screwed up the ticket sales in Atlanta. I guess they leaked a purchase time code or some such that screwed a lot of legitimate season ticket holders out of their slot to get tickets. Thanks for that!
  16. LOL; three OL men is WAY more of a loss than Von. Being home may not be a huge advantage; I think Josh would play better on the road. Josh is gong to be so frigging tight and jittery when this thing starts. You can almost predict one big mistake from him until he calms down...let's hope he gets away it.
  17. You blew it up! ***** you all to hell! One of my favorite movies and scenes of all time, no doubt.
  18. As I keep saying, if a "big name" has to be out for this game, Miller is my choice all day long.
  19. Well wait a little bit. They are going to get killed tomorrow.
  20. EF YOU NFL! They will suck the UK for every nickel they can get, using the Bills as their pawn along the way. We happen to be a very popular team right now--why not prostitute us out to the UK and see if we can't turn billions in profits into tens of billions in profits. They'll keep doing this crap until they are all dead, or the world has converted to NFL football---which ain't gonna happen.
  21. It's "affected" and this is ridiculous. Are you suggesting he's afraid to run around because Damar's heart stopped?
  22. ...right, because everyone in the Bills organization is glued to ESPN, and their mindset is totally dictated by what talking meatheads on TV say about a given game. They should be feeling a TON of pressure...and that's because there's a lot there. Huge playoff game against a very solid team with a QB more or less as good as ours, and it's at home. I think we would play better on the road TBH.
