Can we quote you on that? I want to believe your theory here, 100%! I have us winning in the game score prediction thread; this fanbase is always 1 game late/behind with where they are with the team. Watch--we win in Tampa, and then it will look totally different here next week, everyone predicting we run the table, we will win the re-match in Foxboro, etc.... 😄 At least that's my hope! I would take that! We win 34-25. Or something.

I am in favor of Josh running more. More planned runs. His running is still the most dangerous thing this team does! I don't buy the "he'll get injured" theory.

Wanna know why this year isn't going as well as last year? "Allen is one of the most dangerous weapons in the NFL once the Bills get inside the red zone, and that’s where their offense has struggled the most this season. Buffalo converted just one touchdown in four trips to the red zone against the Patriots and now rank 18th in the league in red zone scoring efficiency at 58.8%. That’s down from 61% last season."

Morse has to go IMO; ditto Edmunds! I'd like to see 2 if not 3 pieces on the OL changed for next season if we can pull that off! Draft and FA. I'm not sure Edmunds has the trade value some Bills fans think he has; we will probably hang onto him 1 more year for that final year before letting him walk. I hope I'm wrong and he is involved in a trade with some good value coming back at us. I think I would concentrate this off-season on the OL b/c that directly makes Josh better and making Josh better is the most important thing we can do. Finding an Edmunds replacement should be of lesser importance IMO, though still important. It can't hurt I don't think. And I'd rather lose the regular season game, but win the rematch in the playoffs!

We were just as imbalance last year and had damned near the best offense in the entire NFL. We don't need balance; we need much more consistency and greater lethality from our passing attack. One immediate way to improve it is to make significant changes on the OL, and give Josh more time and better protection. An improved OL = improved Josh Allen, and he is, by far, the most important individual on the team.

Primary Cause of Bills losing to Patriots/Colts/Titans/Steelers
Nextmanup replied to Chaos's topic in The Stadium Wall
The primary cause of all of our losses, overwhelmingly, is poor performance or not enough good performance from Josh Allen. When he is on, we win, almost always. The question of why Josh underperformed is complex, varies from game to game, and involves lots of people other than just Josh. The poll above is way too simplistic to be of value. If the OP wants to start a thread arguing against our coaching, go for it! Say it! But the poll isn't necessary or helpful IMO. What a bunch of threads this week are starting to hint at or straight up point to is the fact that this fanbase doesn't totally believe in this team's coaching. Is it good enough to get us over the hump? Is it good enough to beat the best coaching in the league in the playoffs in a game with everything on the line? Maybe not. The thing is, we aren't going to know that until the team achieves enough success...rises to a certain ceiling point, but then can't get beyond it...if in fact that is what is going to happen. It might take a couple more years of frustration and stalled playoff campaigns for it to really sink in: we don't have elite level coaching and that's a problem. Then again, maybe they are good enough. The issue hasn't been decided yet IMO. -
If that is true about Meyer having a meeting with his own support staff, calling them all losers, propping himself up as a winner, and then challenging them all to "argue their thesis" as to why they are a winner... All I can see is what a total scumbag. He's supposed to be "religious" too, right? LOL

But then what about all the "process" crap McDermott spews constantly? He preaches intangibles mercilessly, and seemingly believes they play a huge role in winning. So then he goes with a mild mannered family guy? Maybe, in this kind of way, we see McDermott's ultimate weakness as team leader and team builder. Good guys finish last.

Josh's QB rating of 27.2 for the game didn't help matters... We score 10 points (!) or more, and we win the game. Couldn't do it!

It's not a big deal to dump the ball off or hit a guy coming out of the backfield. There are plenty of ways to make that pressure back off...if we get good coaching and the team executes! Josh will have to have an excellent game and he will need to find receivers quickly--something he struggles with from game to game.

Week 14 Uniform reveal — Business trip to Tampa Bay.
Nextmanup replied to SlimShady'sSpaceForce's topic in The Stadium Wall
Perhaps we could use this as inspiration for a uniform revamp.... -
The funny thing is, we allegedly had the "inside scoop" on Star due to his initial drafting by Carolina. These guys felt like they already knew what he was all about. So much for that strategy... Maybe go with total strangers next time.

I don't think everyone is saying NE is the best team in the league...but I do think the Bills are better than them! The rematch in Foxboro, given reasonably normal weather, should be epic. If it's s snowstorm or blizzard or crazy wind, forget it. You just have to concede Tampa's 30+ points and count on scoring more if you want to win this game. If we aren't scoring in the 30s or higher, we lose.

Who do you have in mind, specifically? Josh Allen and his receiver corps are more than good enough to win a SB IMO. That's a hell of a solid start to building the SB winning team. It's more fun to simply argue with each other's posts. This forum remains mostly a place where strangers can go and argue with other strangers, for those who enjoy such sport.

Watching Fox all night was a grim reminder of how much of a bust Dahlin is. UPL continues to impress, however.

Throw the ball! Be true to who we are. If they start trying to build a run game now, we will be in trouble.

12/6/21 Gameday Thread Bills vs. Pats* 2nd Half Thread
Nextmanup replied to Chandler#81's topic in The Stadium Wall
Nope. You’re either playing dumb or had a recent head injury. Still all good though. There's always such a pleasant, respectful tone at this forum, among fellow Bills fans. It's heartwarming, isn't it? -
In all honesty, Dane Jackson isn't going to have any special impact on this game. He'll probably get torched. We aren't going to win this game with defense; we will win by out-scoring Tampa. Daboll needs to have a huge day. I should have picked him but I already took Knox...who also will have to have a huge, bounce-back game! The entire offensive unit will have to have a huge day or it'll get ugly. I think they can do it.

A Little Perspective: Why we shouldn't be down on the McBeane Regime
Nextmanup replied to folz's topic in The Stadium Wall
This made me laugh out loud! With all due respect, who gives a rat's ass who is good or bad on a football team? You think BB cares about that? He cares about wins. I wish we had a few more of them than we do have, but of course we are still a GOOD TEAM and I agree we will make the playoffs. All hope is not yet lost! -
Train Horn Haters - Alternate Ideas?
Nextmanup replied to JohnBonhamRocks's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well who cares about the train horn! Tell us the story about getting hit by a train! I'd be entirely fine with getting rid of the shout song full stop! Probably not a popular opinion, but it's old, it's cheesy, it was never particularly special, and it hasn't aged particularly well. It also conjures up images of a different era where the team was better than it is now. The current team deserves its own schtick. -
Train Horn Haters - Alternate Ideas?

See my post above yours; why does anything need to be played b/c it's 3rd down? -
Train Horn Haters - Alternate Ideas?
Nextmanup replied to JohnBonhamRocks's topic in The Stadium Wall
I honestly never really noticed it one way or the other. You do hear complaints about it all day long in the GDTs however. Why does anything need to be played at all on 3rd down? It reminds me of the modern invention of "the goal song" that apparently must be played after every goal scored on home ice around the NHL. The same song, all the time...I hate that tradition too.
