I agree Diggs did not have a good game against KC, but he's definitely a real #1. Having said that, there are a few things he doesn't do well, like physically dominate space and out-muscle guys for the ball, or run after he catches the ball. Though the latter is often a result of how and when Josh is throwing the ball. Josh often throw to wide open guys standing at a dead stop. You ain't gonna get any YAC with that. I'm annoyed by Diggs right now, but he's still like a top 3 or 5 receiver IMO. I'd trade him in 2 milliseconds for Jefferson though, but that trade ain't gonna happen for obvious reasons.

3 KC Chiefs Fans Found Frozen to Death after Charger game
Nextmanup replied to RoyBatty is alive's topic in The Stadium Wall
I would assume they've found a few out in the parking lots around the stadium! Can't believe they haven't, though I don't remember any news stories off the top of my head. -
If this stat makes you sick, just wait until next year, with an inbred OC (Brady will be retained) McDimwit can push around and intimidate.

Beane & McDermott end of season press conferences
Nextmanup replied to Process's topic in The Stadium Wall
McDimwit's comment about cutting his teeth with Reid and being a throw to win guy is not only inaccurate and disingenuous, it's insulting to Bills fans. Assumes we know nothing. Just more CYA work from McLoser after a big loss. After we made the OC change, we were the most run heavy offense in the league. Expect more next year. -
It's more than that; we have had some phenomenal games, particularly with KC, in the last few years. We always seem to be on the losing end, but the neutral fan doesn't care about that; they just want a close, exciting game. To a football fan living in a neutral area, Bills vs. KC has "must see exciting close game" written all over it.

You can't move on from Von unless he's in trouble in Texas, then we might be able to void the K. We are going to be severely hampered by bad Ks which will limit our freedom to do things PROPERLY. We will have to make do with what will work under the cap. There will be some changes but not nearly enough to really re-do things correctly. McBeane are likely not looking to do things properly anyway. Look for us to establish a running game next year and move away from a wild pass attack. I said at the end of last season that Dorsey would be fired at the end of this season, as he is horrific. I was right, but off in my timing. Now, I will say that this team will finish next year about as we did this year. It will be obvious to everyone that it is then time to move on from McDermott....but it will still be doubtful that Pegula will do it. Will be a more interesting "wait and see" next year, though, at least relative to this year. Pegula will be late firing McDermott; that's already true.

nostril damus predictions for the upcoming season
Nextmanup replied to Coldfronts's topic in The Stadium Wall
Let's all argue over what might or might not happen in the next few months. Or we could just wait to see what actually happens and discuss more definite things. The one thing I agree with strongly on the original list is that Brady will be named OC. We will NOT even try to go out and shop the market for the best man available. We'll keep what we have. Total loser move, but that's what they will do. -
This cannot be relied upon when evaluating our coaching staff. You have to ask what it is you are striving for and what you are happy with. Do you want to win it all? FOR REAL? Then we need to move on. Are you content with how things are? Then McDimwit is fine.
-
It cannot be overstated what an inept decision that fake punt was. HORRIFIC judgment from McLoser. As has been said many times before, we not only have to beat the other team and the refs, we have to beat our own coach.

Maybe the most incredible stat of the night
Nextmanup replied to QB Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall
What was the theme of the first half? We ran the ball at will, and were able to stop KC at least some of the time or limit them to FGs. What is the story of the 2nd half? We could not stop KC to save our lives, and our running game completely disappeared, despite trying. Think the coaches made adjustments at halftime? Who do you think won that tactical battle? The same as always in the big game. HINT: It was not McDermott. -
I continue to hold out HOPE that breaking news will come some time, probably TODAY, that McDermott has been relieved of his duties. This place will meltdown, and everyone will say "wow, I didn't see THAT coming. I really didn't." If that news is coming, we only have a few hours of hope left. If we make it to 5pm and it didn't come, it probably won't and we are stuck with McDimwit for another year. I suppose there is always the chance of a bizarre, deadly Bible club accident, but thats's stretching it.
-
Not necessarily. A good, reliable WR who can get open and compete for catches WAS MISSED. Gabe usually doesn't do that anyway. He's played his last game as a Bill anyway, so time to move on.

McDermott will scapegoat himself using injuries as an excuse
Nextmanup replied to BeastMaster's topic in The Stadium Wall
McDermott's limited offensive strategy and philosophy will continue to hinder this team until he is gone as head coach. It might take Pegula 5 more years to realize this. McDimwit's approach leaves a TINY margin for error. It's why we have lost the big ones. Why not build an approach with a large margin for error? -
It's frustrating right now, because the only human on Earth right now who has the power to fix this situation, in my opinion, is Terry Pegula. As a lifelong Sabres fan, I can tell you you really do not want to put your future in that man's hands. This reminds me of that 20 year period when we were all waiting for Ralph to die, quite frankly. Until that happened, this team was going nowhere. Now, we wait until Pegula summons the courage to fire McD and move forward. Will it come this offseason? I don't think so.
-
This is the natural off-season to change the coaching staff. Team will be in upheaval anyway. The new guy will want some new personnel and want the offense built in a certain manner. That's fine...we need a new WR corps anyway. First item of business would be to get rid of all of these underachieving D-linemen if possible.
-
The Bengals are definitely a better team than us, that matches up really well against us. Them being magically removed from the equation this year was like a gift from God. We blew that too.
-
A lot of fans here seem to think the Bills can somehow win the Super Bowl in October, or maybe November one of these years. We've seen McDermott's ceiling and it came a couple of years ago. How long he sticks around until he is replaced is purely up to Pegula, which really drives me nuts. He is an IDIOT....so until Pegula announces McD is gone, it's gonna be same old same old around here.

I don't!

I totally agree. This game is definitely NOT the "Bass missed FG" game. The fact of the matter is the last series of downs Josh didn't play very well at all, and when time is running out, that's the difference between winning and losing. Lots of things prior to that could have gone differently too so that Josh didn't even need to perform well at the end. Notice how our great running game totally died in the 2nd half. Also, note how our D couldn't stop KC AT ALL in the entire second half. Adjustments, tactics, Xs and Ox, and coaching. IT matters...and we got outreached again tonight. Why would this matchup ever look different? This is as weak as KC has been in years; we got them on our field. Mahomes' first road playoff game and all that crap.... Why would it be different next time? Gotta regroup. That means a new HC, which we won't get. So next year will be more wheel spinning...
-
I'm afraid that's probably true. I think Pegula may very well move on from McDermott, FINALLY, when we finish NEXT season more or less the same way...and we will. He's always a day late and a dollar short with important firing decisions. He held onto Lindy Ruff and then Darcy Regier WAY TOO LONG, as 1 example. If the kick had been good, KC would have made a long FG (at minimum) prior to regular time expiring. If the game actually went to OT, I just can't imagine winning for a number of reasons, mostly b/c that's where coaching matters, and we were badly outreached tonight, as usual in the big ones.
-
I would LOVE TO SEE THIS HAPPEN. It won't though, for a number of reasons. Pegula is too stupid to move on from McDermott, and I don't think BB will come here. He might end up in LA (chargers) for example. Vrabel is out there too; another easy improvement over McD, though not my first choice. Hell, so is Pete Carroll. DO the Bills fans who fear a coaching change for fear that the new guy will suck, like most of past Bills coaches have, think Caroll can't build a playoff caliber team?
