Josh Allen is like a pitcher with a 120mph fastball but no other pitch. if his fastball isn’t working then he gets shelled; if it’s on, no one can hit it. If he learned to throw a change up, he’d be even better. For as great as he’s been, he’s left at least 50 touchdowns on the field in his career because he has zero ability to put some touch on the ball. He has to learn to throw it high. just loft it to the pylon josh.

He’s not that bad, but he’s streaky and has things he could improve. He needs to take ownership of the offense, that’s what he’s paid to do and should be doing at the highest level at this point in his career.

With how they finished last (regular) season, McDermott bought himself a grace period. The way the off-season went extended that grace period to at least middle of next season. Not a McDermott fan but I know he’s not going anywhere for a while.

9/30 131 yards, in a dome, is not good. QB needs to take the blame for that and move on.

Not a serious team this year, but that was predictable when the roster was set. Of course the three wins to start the season set up the crash back to reality, which sucks.

We’ll see I guess. Maybe concepts is the wrong term; I’m guessing Brady made some changes with the benefit of a full offseason. Some of what we are seeing with the offense is teams not knowing what to expect. I think there will be a dip once there’s a few hundred plays on film and trends start to show. As the season goes on things get tighter.

Yeah, there’s zero historical evidence of defenses adapting to offenses, that’s why so many teams just run the wing T.

It seems like the offense will slow down once there’s film of the new concepts etc. we shall see.

It’s way too nuanced of a conversation to have on a message board. Josh is bigger, faster, stronger as someone else pointed out, their arms are probably equal. Comes down to decision making/ability to execute. josh is more of a risk taker while mahomes is more consistent. it’s really splitting hairs.
