  1. Would be hilarious if he needed glasses. (Not II but..)
  2. Man a Doug Pederson HC with Rex as dc and McDaniel as oc would certainly get us another hard knocks appearance
  3. I’m a supporter of replacing McDermott for two reasons: • I don’t like his defensive philosophy; I don’t feel it has the potential to be a strong enough force. It doesn’t dictate terms to the offense, it relies on the offense to make mistakes. • I feel like our best chance to win a superbowl, with Josh, is to get the benefit of the unknown that comes with a new coach and go on a heater for a season. I don’t think McDermott is going anywhere. I hope he continues to grow and learn. Ideally, he would cede control of the defense to a qualified coordinator.
  4. There are definitely a lot of those, they usually espouse mid-wit bumper-sticker philosophy.
  5. Not his strength, he’s never learned how to loft a football well. Tries to hit an exact spot, be too perfect with the throw, rather than lofting it to an area like the better deep ball throwers do.
  6. I Wasn’t aware that it was a known issue, this was the first I heard about it. The reason the team would feed a question like that to a reporter would be so that the issue became public without the team being the one that brought it up. Obviously that wasn’t the case here. are we pretending that politics aren’t at play in the NFL 🤣
  7. I’m curious what prompted this question; was it fed to the reporter?
  8. Besides maybe Jacksonville, I’d give the coaching edge to any other AFC playoff team.
  9. I mean, his absolute ceiling is Hines Ward. I doubt he ever works as hard to achieve it because he came in feeling anointed. After this season he will be at a crossroads and it will be up to him where he ends.
  10. To the dudes promising the spread would go to 11+, god bless.
  11. This post says it all. Are we really going to invest ~60 million a year on interior O linemen? I’ll take Bosa for three years at 20+/per over any of them. I’m thankful for them and I want them but that feeling goes down every dollar over 15m.
  12. So weird to have a process guy be so dependent on tren. The end result is injury after 1.5 games. I’m having a difficult time reconciling these types of signings with the process.
  13. Cook is going to get at least 1 vet rest day every week from here on. They can call it whatever they want.
  14. Theoretical ideals are fine they just don’t match reality. The easiest way for this team to improve (wins and losses) is for the defense to improve (over last year). what should be, what could be, and what is. adding a great wide receiver to an already high quality/excellent offense doesn’t move the needle because it overvalues the positive impact and undervalues the negative impact. Check out the bengals and cowboys. would it be nice to have a better wide receiver 1? Sure. But they would also need to do all the other things our receivers do as well as create separation at a higher rate.
  15. I think it speaks to limitations of even a “high powered” offense. You’re unlikely to score on every drive regardless of your prowess. I think this is the argument many posters have been making for a better defense. i.e. One high paid receiver is unlikely to improve your offense absolutely if you’re already a great offense. You only have x amount of possessions.
  16. Let’s not belittle yard sales….in Elmira 👀
  17. Dude has been publicly exposed and humiliated, deserves a shot to show if he’s learned anything. I don’t have a problem with giving him a shot on a cheap short leash *it’s odd to me that no other team has given him a shot **the type of move that, as a fan, I’d like to see but doesn’t exactly factor in the whole “culture” aspect. Purely a football perspective
  18. 90% chance it’s a defensive player that’s a mid
  19. We have been so fortunate with josh it’s a fair trade. Now, if josh gets hurt….
  20. Was explaining to my brother yesterday (who’s a cowboys fan) how many dt’s we currently have injured. Unreal. Definitely.
  21. I hope for him: that he recovers well and has great injury insurance. He gave himself to the team and should be compensated well for his efforts.
  22. He’s got a nose for the quarterback…. (sorry 🤣)
