  1. I like the idea of this but I don’t think they’re taking taron off the field
  2. D-line, need to find elite talent. One player could elevate the line from good to great.
  3. Agreed, forearm-shiver is the move you want
  4. Haute rewatchability 🧑‍🍳😘
  5. Just rewatched it multiple times. They definitely didn’t let him score. Was an amazing play, highly rewatchable. Torrence owned jones.
  6. Garbage time, ears pinned back every down, think I’m going to give him a pass here.
  7. Watching it live, it felt like the chiefs were unsure if they were supposed to let him score once he had the first. Was a strange play.
  8. Probably get some flack for this but I don’t think it’s as complicated as people are making it. The two officials are in the exact right position to make that call. the camera angle used in the broadcast adds drama because of forced perspective. the two sets of eyes directly under goalposts don’t have that limitation. I get the “not trusting officials” argument but if as a fan you have such little faith in their ability to fairly judge something that is so cut and dry, not a judgment call, or possibly missing something by being out of place, then why have officials at all. The forced perspective of the television audience makes this seem more complicated than it is.
  9. Just made my stomach flop 15 years later 🤮
  10. More interested in seeing how our o does vs their d
  11. Call it hedging or rationalizing but I almost don’t care about the outcome of this game.
  12. Pretty sure this person doesn’t know how magic numbers work 🤣🤣
  13. 1 sack in 6 playoff games for Greg. I wish Rousseau was better than he is, or at least as good as many posters think he is, but I haven’t seen it. He’s going to command a 25+ million/yr salary based on the market for his position. Another difficult decision for beane; a borderline good/very good player that, from a money-ball perspective, ends up being low return. E.g. Knox, Oliver, Jones, epenessa, miller, bass.
  14. Why wouldn’t they 🤔 Going strictly by production, and ignoring all other considerations (chemistry etc.) josh is the only player that isn’t replaceable. There are some nice players on the team but zero other hall of famers
  15. I’m “back peddling” because you’re trying to drag the argument into fantasy land. Doing the kind of myopic accounting you’re doing is what got us in the cap trouble we’re in. There’s no debate the team would be better with better players, that’s just not the only consideration.
  16. I’m sure that Justin Jefferson’s 4 year 140 million dollar contract, with 110 guaranteed is more than you’re trying to make it seem. I think he was paid 38 million this year, before the “value goes up”. Paying digs 31 million while he’s on another team is a good argument for not giving another wr a large contract. We’re getting into the weeds here. My argument is that signing a wr to a huge contract might make business sense but it’s low value from a purely wins/loss, team building, football sense.
  17. Split the difference, superbowl mvp
  18. If by “not that much different” you mean 60% more, then I guess it’s the same 🤷‍♂️. We couldn’t afford diggs beyond this year but somehow we can take on Jefferson’s contract? look, he’s a great, GREAT, player. We would be a worse team if we had him. Half a billion on a quarterback and one wr isn’t a recipe for team building.
  19. Detroit averaging 15 points in the second quarter for the season? Crazy
  20. The reason you pay a top flight wide receiver huge money is jersey sales. It’s a business move that looks like a football move. Paying a wide receiver $35million a year isn’t going to make your team better.
  21. Chad Pennington numbers
  22. The afc is pretty much set for the playoffs.
  23. weird how many people laugh at a very simple factual statement. I wasn’t commenting on the probability of Miami winning out, just that they have 9 games left. Can’t crown a division winner until the others are eliminated mathematically.
