  1. Not a surprise but jones is going to be cut.
  2. It’s extremely difficult to get all pro talent when you draft in the last quarter of the round every year. You basically have to roll the dice on a bunch of guys like this and hope they hit. He’s going to need at least one full offseason (probably 2) to get his body right. I doubt he plays much this season, can’t exactly hide him on the practice squad either. Might be a candidate for a phantom season ending training camp injury. who knows, maybe he’ll make huge strides early 🤷‍♂️
  3. If we finally get a quality receiver maybe we can improve on our measly .5 points per play on offense.
  4. I’ve heard other players/personnel say it’s impossible to add muscle during the season. Most have enough trouble maintaining gains.
  5. “Hello, Sheduer? Do you have Princely Umanmielen in a can?”
  6. Yeah, this dude is certainly a big question mark at this point. Hopefully he takes the Spencer Brown path. He could mold himself into Calais Campbell or eat himself out of the league.
  7. By giving him half a billion dollars. but seriously, his contact eats up a big chunk of the cap; It is a zero sum game. They also spent significant cap on a wr in free agency.
  8. I’m hoping josh eventually learns to throw the change-up.
  9. The bills are transitioning/have transitioned to a power running/ball control style offense, and are all the better for it. Our wr’s are going to be football players not track athletes. They’re going to block, play special teams, and catch the ball when it’s thrown to them. They’re never going to command 35 million a year, they’re never going to have 2,000 yard seasons, they’re never going to be above the team. That’s not to say they won’t have the opportunity to put up numbers and make a great life for their family financially (see shakir). the idea that we need a speed receiver to take the top off a defense is understandable, but obviously not required. The long ball is not this team’s/josh’s strength.
  10. Just add 15 pounds of muscle real quick?
  11. Anyone who watched Jalen Carter sack Matthew Stafford in the NFC championship game knows exactly why we drafted the way we did.
  12. I can’t give it a grade because I don’t have enough information. I will say it is exactly what I wanted near the end of the season; drafting all defense. there were a lot of corners on the board when they drafted Hairston, I.e. they got a corner high on their board. They moved up/targeted sanders, I.e. got a guy high on their board. The reaction in the room for Jackson, the pre-draft visits etc., suggests they, again, got a guy high on their board. In rd 4 they moved up, targeting walker, suggesting a guy high on their board. thats 4 guys they chose. Couple that with the free agent signings and I’d say they overhauled the defense about as well as one could in that time frame. For better or worse they got their guys, they own this, it’s on beane/mcdermott. No excuses. Hairston and Jackson should have solid careers on paper. Player they drafted with most upside is sanders. has all the tools just needs to want it and get lucky avoiding injuries. Sky is the limit for him imo. Hancock might be a sneaky excellent pick, immediate special teamer and potential future starter(?) at safety(?). Just seems like a good utility athlete to have on the team.
  13. Need that Alabama punter
  14. I hope we trade for a next year 4
  15. You expect beane to draft the player everyone wants?
  16. Hard knocks Cleveland II
  17. Guessing jones is dead cap at this point
  18. I think, of the 3, sanders has the highest ceiling. If he has the right mindset (desire/work ethic) and avoids injuries he could be a hall of fame type. The other two seem to have some limitations where they might have higher floors but lower ceilings. All three look to be immediate contributors with something rare going for them.
  19. This guy has a chance to be a chris jones type. He’s tall and fast. As a professional, he will have the training staff and opportunity to become a game wrecker. hopefully he wants that and works hard towards it. I wouldn’t be shocked if he has a better career than Oliver, low bar to be more valuable when factoring pay. I believe his larger frame/speed combo gives him a higher ceiling.
  20. Wouldn’t mind trading pick(s) for picks next year. Could use a punter and special team players (S/LB).
  21. It’s higher than if he had been drafted
  22. This is just evidence that he’s not smart
  23. I hope teams are not drafting sanders out of spite. Be petty, it’s fun.
  24. No, we used two picks to select one player. Beane up to his wizardry again 🪄
  25. We have 10 picks this draft.
