Bills aren’t going to be 100% at the start of the season (which we knew), are they going to be 100% at any point is the question that remains

It reads like a guy who doesn’t fit in with his teammates and this was the straw that broke the camel’s back. I don’t think the offense was what did it, just a good enough excuse.

If the offense or defense has a rough practice or preseason game you can say “offense (or defense) always starts slower”. They’re interchangeable.

There is something to be said for building anticipation. The best seasoning is hunger.

It’s probably analogous to receiving or kicking off to start a game. It’s probably more important to have it be most beneficial regardless of where it falls. my preference would be the nfl having a two week period where half the teams have their bye one week with the other half having them the other. If there is a competitive advantage to when a team gets their bye this would eliminate it. I would also like to see every playoff team get a bye before the playoffs start. For this to work the amount of teams making the playoffs would have to change.

Swap the Pittsburgh and saints games would be one way to improve this but it’s pretty decent.

We really got like 4, maybe even 5, first round picks. even though, before the draft, everyone said there were only 15 guys worth a first. After the draft (when it’s time to sell tickets) we somehow got 4 (maybe even 5) of them.

It’s extremely difficult to get all pro talent when you draft in the last quarter of the round every year. You basically have to roll the dice on a bunch of guys like this and hope they hit. He’s going to need at least one full offseason (probably 2) to get his body right. I doubt he plays much this season, can’t exactly hide him on the practice squad either. Might be a candidate for a phantom season ending training camp injury. who knows, maybe he’ll make huge strides early 🤷‍♂️

If we finally get a quality receiver maybe we can improve on our measly .5 points per play on offense.

I’ve heard other players/personnel say it’s impossible to add muscle during the season. Most have enough trouble maintaining gains.
