  1. Last season it was rumored Philly was interested but couldn’t give the Bills the value they were looking for - which most speculated at a 4th rounder. Conditional 6th is probably right
  2. He didn’t make the selection of White... McDermott did.... so that leaves Darby who is a probably a decent starter but not much better You could be right....both essentially have 1 year to turn things around
  3. I think that it will take a really big year from Shaq to get the extension. It’s possible that the Bills could resign him to a new deal at a lower cost than the 5th year option, like Miami did with Davonte Parker.
  4. Bad draft pick by Doug Whaley. He reached for a player who was falling down the draft board due to an undisclosed injury everyone knew about. I was never ever sure whether Whaley got bad intel from the Bills training staff or whether he was bluffing knowing that Shaw would really need the surgery and took a chance on him. Either way, you can’t say the Shaq lived up to his draft status or the potential from his college career. If I recall he was considered a Top 10 pick before the injury. He’s average but certainly has not played like a premium player.
  5. So you think they keep 7 WR’s including Roberts? I don’t see that happening
  6. I’m not underestimating him. That is why I penciled him in for a WR roster spot. I don’t see him getting many snaps at WR though and I also don’t see the team keeping 7 WR’s on the roster. That’s why the last WR spot is going to be very competitive Easley seems like a good candidate for the PS
  7. Im a little higher on the group than you are, but I do agree they are missing a #1 WR. With that being said, it’s a much better WR group than last season.
  8. Even though the Bills didn’t draft a WR in this year’s draft, there is still a lot of competition at WR in the roster. Going on the assumption that the team will keep WR’s, we are either looking at some surprising cuts or a ton of completion for 1 WR spot. Locked in: WR1 John Brown WR2 Cole Beasley These two aren’t going getting to get cut in 2019. Probable WR3 Robert Foster WR4 Zay Jones Both receivers need to have big years. Foster needs to continue the progress he showed last season. Zay needs to live up to his potential and show why he should be considered for a 2nd contract. Unless they have a disastrous training camp, I see them as likely members of the roster Questionable: WR5 Andre Roberts Not a true WR in actuality but an important part of the return game. I don’t see the team carrying an additional spot as only a KR/PR but we’ll see. Competition for WR6: Duke Williams Ray Ray McLeod 3 Isaiah McKenzie Cam Phillips Da’Mari Scott Victor Bolden Jr Nick Easley (UFA) David Sills (UFA) A lot of competition for likely 1 roster spot. It should be a lot of fun to watch. I’m quietly pulling for either Duke or David Sills. I do like Easley too
  9. This thread is very entertaining. John wins this debate hands down - Beane and McDermott have done a pretty good so far. Give them credit??????
  10. I am pretty sure that I remember hearing Vic Carucci, who is close to the Kelly family, that even with Jim’s connection and influence the idea of Chad going to the Bills has allegedly never been broached seriously. Only because it was believed that having him in Buffalo close to all of the riff raft and enablers from his past, would be a giant distraction. I know there was a lot of optimism for him getting a fresh start in Denver. He seemed to be doing fairly well. It’s a shame things unraveled because on his way to getting some playing time.
  11. 15 pages is way too much to shift through. Can you give me a readers digest version?
  12. What exactly happened? Why was he cut?
  13. I don’t know if Tyree will be much competition, at least this year. Only because part of the reason why Barkley was re-signed was because of his experience and ability to mentor Josh Allen. Jackson wouldn’t be able to do this. If he can stick around on the PS then I think next season he could have a chance
  14. After the Bills didn’t draft one in Round 1 and 2, I stopped caring. Unless it’s a really good WR, it will be tough to crack the lineup or to get many reps on the field. In the case of Foster and Zay, you don’t quite know what you have in them as a WR. Brown and Beasley are good compliments. Then you have other players like Duke Williams. The position can always be improved, but I’m not so sure how much drafting a WR in the 3rd or 4th round really improves the unit
  15. This film is encouraging. You have to think that Foster will only get better which means at worst, he’s a solid #3. I’m pretty excited for his development
  16. He is free now but if the Bills sign him, he has an uphill battle to make the roster.
  17. Beane always said he wouldn’t spend it all. They will rollover the maximum amount into the cap for 2020
  18. Rex’s roster was a team of overrated, overpaid, underperforming talent. I wouldn’t say that it was anything great Thats right - because Rex and Doug Whaley has a superior team (eye roll)
  19. I think he was talking about Williams and he said there was a better chance of trading up than trading down. If you believe the internet chatter, he may have been right
  20. Good article but if Dawkins doesn’t win a tackle spot, I think he gets moved to guard. Part of what they value is flexibility. I can see Dion sitting while he has the ability and knowledge to play guard
  21. I would love this.... give him a shot This would even be even better!
