  1. Wise choice. It was a bit of an embellishment. I’m paraphrasing here but he said they left WR’s wide open down the field because they knew he couldn’t hit them. He said it was the most disrespectful strategy he’s ever seen and that Pittsburgh chose not to do that and that’s why they lost. Anyone who blames coaching and not the QB is just scapegoating.
  2. It’s a very simplistic take - though he was f entirely wrong about The Ravens strategy. What I’ve learned following the BS from the Twitter Analytics crowd is that journalists or worse yet mathematicians turned “analysts,” don’t have anymore of an informed opinion than a lot of us fans who follow the NFL. Translation here is that the use guys have no idea what they are talking about This is a quotation from the article Tom Pelissero wrote yesterday where NFL execs named McDermott coach of the year: “He's winning with a young quarterback -- they're kind of winning because of the quarterback, too.” This is from an NFC Director of Pro Personnel. If Allen isn’t view this way in from office circles, you know there has to be a lot more to it that the superficial argument that these three are making. He’s right about the Ravens strategy. They dared him to beat them deep and he couldn’t. I do agree that fans are overly sensitive about criticism to Allen. But in this case, I feel that these hosts are taking a superficial look at him based on stats Bomani Jones. He can sometimes be funny. This clip he was trying really hard and failing
  3. Coughlin was a Plan B. Fans wanted Bill Polian
  4. Wait does this mean that Marron and Dave Caldwell are safe? Both should go. Especially Caldwell who seems to hang around
  5. Not really. I think you are thinking of Russ Brandon’s “robust analytics” team led by a former Xerox executive.
  6. Autocorrect. it should be “Patriots are going to give him shots down field and if he hits them and chooses to just throw them rather aim them” In context he was referring to long passes. Says he “aims” passes rather than throwing them.
  7. I guess. It seems like he knows the game pretty well though - especially the QB position. Though he’s no PFF
  8. Direct quote from Orlavsky. You can hear it on WGR550: https://wgr550.radio.com/media/audio-channel/12-17-espns-dan-orlovsky-on-one-bills-live I think I will start quoting myself from now on like Ralph:
  9. Great interview with Dan Orlovsky on One Bills Drive. I really enjoy his analysis and love how he carved out a career for himself through Twitter! But Dan has been praising the Bills and Sean McDermott over the past week. Dan thinks that Josh is playing good football and that completion percentages are tied to schemes and that Josh is not a QB to dink and dunk, so he never will have a high % pct. But that Allen delivers when he needs to. Case and point: I could be wrong but I really think Dan is speaking to the Analytics crowd. “ I have friends who text me all the time, they have a stance and Josh Allen and they don’t waver from it. They’ll send me some stuff and I’ll say “ I think he’s playing good football.’ is he playing football that you may want him to, because you didn’t like him coming out of the draft and now you won’t admit that he’s playing good football? Maybe I don’t know. But I’m sitting here and I’m like this guy is playing good football and he’s playing good football in the moments that they need him to. Here’s the thing about Josh that will take him from playing good football to becoming a difference maker. for the strong-armed that he has The consistency of the deep ball hasn’t shown up yet. And so you get 4 to 6 shots a game to push the ball down field. Usually if you hit those you have a good chance to win if you don’t your struggle. If Josh will get hot with those and hit some of those I think the bills can be really difficult in the playoffs not just make it. I think the bills I think that’s what will be the determining factor about their game against the Patriots. Patriots are going to give him shots down field and if he hits them, And chooses to just throw them rather than aiming them. That will be a big determining factor in that game and all the playoffs.“ He also thinks the Bills should play “bully football” and impose their will on New England in the running game. He also applauded McDermott’s use of a timeout after the 2:00 warning. I know many questioned the decision to use a TO with the clock stopped.
  10. I saw this on Twitter and was disappointed. It wasn’t as funny as some people, including Marcel, made it out to sound
  11. I hope not. He’s a good guy and I do think he’s a good coach. For some reason he hasn’t gotten things done in SD
  12. It looked really awkward. Like he was an 80 year old man trying not to hurt himself.
  13. Allen was a much better QB. He deserved more of a chance
  14. And Sammy would be a “generational talent”
  15. He would be a miracle worker if he put up good numbers throwing to Deonte Thompson, Zay Jones, and Andre Holmes. I don’t agree Mahomes would be the same QB. This is why these people lamenting they past like this is just futile. Right there are a lot of circumstances. I think it’s very simplistic to assume that Mahomes would relocate the success he had in KC.
  16. This is a really simplistic take on things. There’s no guarantee that Mahomes turns out to be the same QB in Buffalo that he is in KC. Like Lamar, and even Josh to an extent, Mahomes went to a great situation on KC. He had a perfect mentor alex Smith, was able to sit a year and learn the offense while working for one of the great coaches. Plus he had a lot of talent surrounding him on offense. He wouldn’t have any of this in Buffalo.
  17. It always shocks me to see people defend Doug Whaley so hard in here. I didn’t think he was very good but some people are willing to die on Doug Whaley Hill
  18. That was the biggest concern coming out of college. I think he’s done so far as a starting CB, but because of tackling I wouldn’t be shocked to see the Bills try to upgrade
  19. He missed a big one down the sideline. In all fairness Micah Hyde did the same thing.
  20. He deserves to be roasted after the foolishness of that letter. I love the excuse from @BADOLBILZ. “he spent thousands of dollars to get the blackout lifted, so he’s allowed to act like a jackass and blame a new hire for 20 years Of failure” Come on....it’s a classic case of misplaced anger ????
  21. ???? He comes off very badly in this letter. But if you met Russell, you would like him. He seems like a nice and friendly guy and he was still working as host at 85 years old! But they shouldn’t his grudge be against Ralph? It makes no sense to blame someone for events that happened 20 years prior. McDermott has zero connection to anything that happened during those games. Russ is being an old baby here
  22. I was there in person....Week 2....2016 Bills Home Opener. The crowd was electric until Fitzpatrick absolutely destroyed Gilmore and Ron Darby by throwing up jump balls to Quincy Enunwa and Brandon Marshall. It was brutal. Hope history repeats itself with DeVante Parker. Case and point....and a reminder to everyone who thought Gilmore was as good in Buffalo and he’s been in NE https://youtu.be/yAL5uyzI6GA
  23. Like I said, I met him a few years ago and he was very nice. In that letter he just comes off as a jerk. I’d love to see how Russ would react if someone trashed his restaurant
  24. So much focus on Brady and an offense that really hasn’t been that great but this Patriot team is all about defense. Their defense is very good and Allen has struggled against top units.
