Did dumb & dumber just say that the analytics would tell you to go for it on 4th & goal at the end of the first half when you get the 2nd half KO? That's nuts as the FG gives you a chance to score 10 points at the end of the first/beginning of the 2nd half. Herbert is impressive. The AFC is loaded at QB. It's getting old watching the outstanding production of NFL TE's in the passing game while the Bills get next to nothing. IMO this is our #1 offensive need for next year. -

Bradshaw just called Joe Burrough "Doug". What a clown. -
Are you seriously saying this? Allen was brutally questioned about his long term viability because he took off and ran at the drop of a hat. He was called a RB playing QB and his upside was compared to Tim Tebow. I get what you're saying with respect to Jackson but the LAST QB in the NFL to use as the example would be Allen. Almost every "expert" was saying he was a bust and a joke of a QB. An honest and non-racial take on the 2018 QB class was that BOTH Jackson & Allen, who were both gifted but very unconventional QB's, were going to be busts while Rosen, Darnold & Mayfield were all super stars in the making. The topic of discussion by Mr. Foxworth and others should be the irony that the likely two best QB's from that class are Allen & Jackson. And that this may be ushering in a new reality where unconventional QBing will rule the day in the NFL. As for the comments about Bills fans with American flags and Dogs on their social media pages being racist. I can't even wrap my mind around such foolishness.

Home Playoff Games-Any Hope For Fans??
CincyBillsFan replied to DQW87's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
My understanding is that in Ohio they're contact tracing to see if these games are acting as super spreader events and so far they're not. We actually had a high school football season in Ohio where teams were allowed to admit 15% of their stadiums seating capacity. HS football is big down here and it's not unusual for stadiums to seat 7,500 - 10,000 fans. So crowds of 1,000 or more fans, mostly players families and band parents, were at the games. Everyone played a 6 game schedule and then there was a 6 game playoff slate. We got all the way through holding state championships for 7 divisions (there are over 750 schools playing football in Ohio). I also don't think they found any evidence that covid was spread at the games. I would hope that NY State would at least consider letting say 5,000 people into the stadium which would include players family's for any playoff games. -
Home Playoff Games-Any Hope For Fans??

No chance in hell. Pluto is more likely to leave it's orbit and crash into the earth then a single fan is allowed into Rich Stadium this season. And if I say anymore the powers that be are going to timeout my butt so I'll shut up now. -
Fair enough but going after Bills fans seems like a real gutter move IMO. Down here in Cincinnati the take on us is that we're colorful, pretty crazy, super loyal and very decent folks. And if I can get on my soap box for a moment - the only way we'll truly consign racism to the fringe (it will never completely go away) is to find it's expression to be equally unacceptable no matter the source. Until we do that this wound will remain unhealed.

It was inevitable that it would given the comments by Mr. Foxworth. The problem though is that in this case the politics and the football actually do overlap here big time. Here is an employee for ESPN, the premiere football broadcasting company in America, expressing what can only be seen as racist sentiments. And when the target is the Bills QB who is highly admired on 2BD you're going to get emotional responses. If we didn't take this in a political direction we would be chumps IMO. And this is why a lot of us are worried about the state of sports in America. It's sad that Mr. Foxworths comments might contribute to politicizing something as beautiful as supporting your favorite sports team. At a time when very little unites us we can't let cretins like this guy ruin one of the few things that does. Therefore I would hope this board allows the robust and at times political condemnation of Mr. Foxworth to proceed.

Oh come on. What proof do you or anyone have that Allen is a favorite of the Proud Boys? And who cares if he was? Why do we have so much trouble calling out a racist in these situations? By any standard this clowns comments were racist and we wouldn't accept these excuses if a white reporter said something like this. We're good people. Taking a shot at us like this is simply wrong. Screw this guy.

Jets Fan Admitting Josh Allen is Better and Why

If the Jets make the right changes Lawrence will go there and be happy that he did. If you make it in NY you will be elevated above almost every other sports icon in every possible sport. -
Jets Fan Admitting Josh Allen is Better and Why

I would also add that Allen didn't get the team behind him because of some great system that was in place in Buffalo in 2018. Allen earned the respect of his teammates when he hurdled a LB to get a first down against Minnesota. That one play, arising entirely from Allen's competitive nature won the team over. Do you think Darnold would have hurtled a LB like that? He doesn't have the crazy drive to do it and he didn't have the physical tools to do it. So the answer is no. -

My problem with this analysis is that it's creating a false narrative that Darnold would have worked out here and Allen would sucked in the Big Apple. To me this disrespects Allen's attitude and work ethic. It also ignores Allen's incredible physical gifts which clearly surpass those of Darnold. It also lets the crazy Allen haters off the hook. Hey we weren't wrong because Josh unfairly benefited from landing in football nirvana while Sam landed in hell. Well for the record I watched every Bills game in 2018 and whether we want to admit it or not it was a CLUSTER FRACK for a young QB needing development: * No offensive line * No QB coach and no veteran QB to help out until mid season. * Allen wasn't named the starter so didn't get many reps in training camp or preseason. Instead Peterman, maybe the worst QB to ever start an NFL game got the lions share of reps. * Then when Peterman screwed up, in the first half against Baltimore in WEEK ONE, Allen was thrown to the wolves. * And do you remember that elite group of WR's & TE's Allen had as safety blankets? Yea, I don't either. In 2018 Allen had the worst collection of skill players around him then any QB in the NFL that year. And in spite of all this Allen got better as the season went on and actually showed signs of the brilliance that was to come. I love Bean & McDermitt. I wouldn't trade them for anyone. But they screwed up Allen's rookie season BIG TIME. But against all odds Allen didn't shrivel up and bust. IMO Allen saved Bean & McDermitt's butts that year. Now in 2019 & 2020 all credit goes to Bean & McDermitt for developing Allen and putting the pieces around him so that the TEAM can succeed. But folks we have to see 2018 with honest eyes and the Bills are lucky they didn't "Rosen" Allen. And Allen should get more credit for that. -

And while we're wishing, right before the KO of the game you're describing a lake effect snowstorm engulfs Rich Stadium! -
It was an amazing throw which is what Colinsworth noted. If Knox hadn't been interfered with it would have been a TD. This is what we need from Allen. Sure hit the check downs and take the easier throws 90% of the time but every once and a while let it rip. That throw is what scares Defensive coordinators and actually opens up the underneath stuff. There were two other big time deep throws that almost connected. The first one was the near 50 yard completion to Gabe on the sideline. Allen was under severe pressure and almost hit that throw. The other was the jump ball to Knox downfield where he should have caught it.

What we saw from Allen tonight looked a lot like what we've seen from Mahomes, Watson, Brees & Rogers over the last couple of years. You're watching the game and those guys start slowly throw a pick or two and then suddenly a switch goes off and they can't miss a pass. Allen completed 11 straight passes and thew 2 TD passes in back to back drives that basically put the game out of reach. This is what Kelly would do back in the day after a slow start. We are seeing something special blossom in Buffalo.
