  1. Golf, Tennis, Beach, not necessarily in that order.
  2. Good chance that with his brother Dalvin in his ear, he and his agent hold out this coming training camp for $20m. My understanding is this is typical for RBs entering year 4 of rookie contract (if they are top end talent, which he is). So expect a big sh-t show over this come April.
  3. I don't care.
  4. I doubt Beane resigns Cook if its $20m per. If its $10m, sure, but seems that brother Dalvin is making $20m waves. Makes no sense to pay that.
  5. Draft by all accounts is very good for Edge and D Line this year. First year that has be so in many years. Just in time. Parsons, Garrett and Crosby in all likelihood are not going anywhere. If they were free agents I'd feel differently, but they are not I believe.
  6. Pretty much. and I'm good with it for now. 15-4 WL record. Winning 70% of games for 5+ years. Come on, Enjoy the ride, beeeaaaatches.
  7. They're all a bunch of liars this time of year, but between what Crosby and Brady are saying, Crosby is unlikely to be moved by the Raiders. He is also under contract. He's not a Free Agent.
  8. I'm fine. From wondering if they could win the division to the brink of the SB, pretty great result this season. I'm more into the program being improved every year and I believe McBeanes are accomplishing this. I separate the crap-shoot single elimination tournament from the more revealing regular season. As far as I'm concerned, Bills were 15-4 this year and that is great. Still recovering from 17 years of suck I guess. Plus I'm a Josh fan but for all his heart and grit, he's got flaws that can show up in a game or two each year. Unfortunately, one the games they showed up in was a single elim. tournament game.. can't recover from that one... Looking forward to Beane having his hands untied adding more talent in FA this off season. Should be an even better roster next season.
  9. I am today reading that Crosby is now enamored with Pete Carroll and that Brady will not let Crosby go anywhere. So looks like Crosby is off the radar ...
  10. Teams trading their top defensive player makes no sense at all. Not going to happen. Crosby, Lawrence, Garrett are unique and not replaceable. You sign and pay those guys, not trade them. Right? Why would they even answer the phone?
  11. Yeah against the better DCs, it seems that Josh will not be able to run much, roll right much, throw deep much anymore. He must play QB, reset protections, see what is coming and adjust, like a real QB. OC needs to be better, but Josh needs to be better as well. He probably knows that and will focus on it this offseason, just as he focused on minimizing turnovers this year. His marching orders are clear; as he said, having mastered Brady's new offense in hand for next season will be a big help. It appears that Brady changed quite a bit and Josh was learning it and getting sharper in it as the season went on. People are not factoring that in. Josh said he was learning it. that was an interesting quote. the ACL injury washed Von out. is what it is. he was tearing it up b4 that injury. Injuries matter. Plus it hit the cap hard. Unfortunate; thats about all one can say on that one.
  12. agreed. IMHO, no NFL team is taking down the Chiefs anytime soon, barring a rash of injuries on that team. they have it all going on from top to bottom . they're just better than anyone else.
  13. apologies, I guess I was, in general, addressing all of those on this who randomly call for this coach or that coach to be fired
  14. Beane was clear they are trying to keep a roster that will give 17 a legit shot at the title every year of his career. That was a big statement. they are not going to try and buy one SB at the expense of their investment in 17's career. That position makes one hell of a lot of sense; tells me they are about to give Josh a very long term contract that will be crazy expensive. Which means they need to get the most out of that investment by being highly competitive EVERY year, not just shoot the moon and do a Rams or Saints and go into multi year cap hell for one title. Very interesting what he said. McD 's coaching philosophy sounds like a college coach "forming men" and "having the guys leave better men", etc. Not sure that fits in a pro program. Concerning there. Glad he has coordinators who actually do the work.
  15. And replace him with who exactly? I am becoming irritated with all these firing requests where the alternative (and their qualifications and why they would be better) is never put forward.
  16. Not sure. Not much out there that wouldn't cost a fortune.
  17. yeah, 15W-4L "year after year after year after year..." gimme me more of that ! but seriously, Beane was clear they are trying to keep a roster that will give 17 a legit shot at the title every year of his career. That was a big statement. they are not going to try and buy one SB at the expense of their investment in 17's career. That position makes one hell of a lot of sense; tells me they are about to give Josh a very long term contract that will be crazy expensive. 18. I was referring to the secondary market for tickets. Raises a great question; I wonder how much enthusiasm there will be among the season ticket base to attend regular season games vs. sell their tickets on Ticketmaster, etc. I mean, by your criteria, this organization has failed for 60+ straight seasons and since, by your criteria, success is measured only by tournament success, why bother with the regular season games. Just sell 'em and "see ya for the playoff games". I wonder to what extent your criteria has a/in fected the fanbase and created an apathy for the regular season. Interesting. Someone should start a poll and ask the question: "do you care about the regular season anymore? "
  19. well with that attitude, guess you ain't buying any ticket to see that "failure" of a team. more for me then, I guess. . I sincerely hope you find a "successful" team to follow.
  20. I know its golf season for me for sure. smart guy that Josh.
  21. with two 2's, I can see Beane moving up in this years draft.
  22. yep... go get Burden; I could see big baller Beane doing this for sure. Burden is fabulous.
  23. wow, well the cap math is the same, but the cap savings will be less then. home town discount? ha
  24. Yes you can bet Beane will do this. If I have my capology correct, if, say, they tore up the current deal and he signed (to keep the numbers simple) a 5 year, $200m deal , that's 40m per year. So, if the first years 40 is simply paid in one shot on day 1, that 40m is divided by 5 = $8m spread out per year against cap So his cap hits over the 5 years are as follows: $8m, $48m, $48m, $48m, $48m Lets say his cap hit next season if they do nothing is $35m (I don't have Sportrac in front of me), then the team created $35m minus $8m or $28m of cap space for 2025
  25. to answer the OP, basicially: KC is loaded, starting with HOF QB, OC/HC and DC. They are the 2000-2015 Pats reincarnated. Really. The Bills, tho are NOT the 2005-2015 Bills reincarnated, and thats what makes this much more interesting. Not sure there's anyone out there to rival Reid/Spags, so that's a problem, but based on results today's Bills are close. Go Bills.
