  1. missed the 4qtr. looks like kind of mess. looks like the flamers are out!
  2. McFadden's closed a couple years ago, the NYC Bills Backers club now meets at Penn 6, 132 W 31st St. https://www.nycbbb.com/ NYC Bills Backer is large, pretty well organized group. They go at it pretty hard on game days.
  3. nah, after manning and luck, they have several more years of QB purgatory to endure. sorry
  4. If you are key employee of a company, you get stock options. That's the way it works in corporate America in good companies that know what they are doing. It's a very very small %, less than 1%; I like it bc then you trade it off for a lower salary and cap hit. An interesting edea, Everyone is happy, team has a much lower cap hit and a lower salary , employee is more bought in bc the the better he plays, the more valuable the franchise becomes (in theory) and the higher the leagues ad revenue, which finds its way back the team and all players. I like it, esp for player second contracts where lowering the cap hit is really important.
  5. yeah, what are posters talking about? Hardman did a number on the Bills
  6. wow, was unaware of this one. yeah looks very very dangerous after watching the Poyer mic'd up clip, its amazing there aren't even more injuries. this game really is a collision game.
  7. man you can FEEL the hits.. boy the hits didn't sound like that playing HS ball I'll tell you that. those guys are colliding all night. wow, the mic really picked up the hitting this time. wow.
  8. Bernard was leading the defense on the field before Milano went down. Milano was listening to Bernard, not the other way around.
  9. I'm still wallowing in the fact that this team is competitive every week against anyone. Just a great vibe
  10. Yeah the game kind of sucked for everyone who saw it or was involved with it. No one happy after that one. So I wouldn't read too much into anything.
  11. How do you think Philly made it to the SB? Least injured team in the league last year. Injuries matter big time in the NFL. "Next man up" is garbage.
  12. Taron Johnson is the 3rd LB. His value in coverage is more valuable than leadfoot Dodson would be in run defense. Thats essentially it. Johnson basically saved the Giants game on the last play; ole' leadfoot Dodson would still be stuck on the line stunned by the play action. Lets not start these kinds of threads anymore.
  13. Yeah, the Gabe haters won't need to worry about him as he won't be signed. Draft is deep at WR this so I'm sure Beane will keep the $12-15m and draft a guy.
  14. Interested to see how Poona Ford and D Williams do. Can't predict anything right now as we haven't seen them play. My understanding is that Ford is starter-quality and that Dorian W is liked by the coaching staff. Beyond that, none of us know much of anything, making predictions impossible. Today's NFL is an offense-first league, so I don't spend much time thinking about defense. D doesn't matter against the top 5 teams... you better be scoring 30+ against those teams.
  15. I would imagine the networks have the data on viewership that shows the historical popularity of teams in every market. The data drives the decision .. too much money at stake to do it any other way
  16. I kind of enjoyed the way Roman worked the RPO with TT and Shady. Was fun to watch. Class guy, good leader. Hard worker. Not getting you to the promised land, but hey, Good player. He broke the drought. Nuf said. Hope they give him a cheer when he comes out. Bills fans remember their own.
  17. thinking Poona Ford will make you forget about horrible harry
  18. I guess we find out all about Poona Ford and D Williams now. This season is all about the offense anyway. the #1 all-healthy Defense isn't stopping Philly, SF or KC anyway
  19. This is where all the Beane offseason moves kick in (Poona, keeping lots of DBs, Rapp, drafting LBs high every year). Let's hope it's enough. Josh may need to go dust off the cape.
  20. With Burrow and half of the Bill's D out, Chiefs path to the AFC getting easier by the minute. Screw these London games, too costly.
  21. my entire generation left WNY in huge numbers in late 70's / early 80's ; now you have Bills fans everywhere, plus our kids are now adult fans as well. Erie County has something like half the base population it had 50 years ago, adjusted for internal growth. That's a heck of a lot of out-migration Mafia spread out across the U.S. Went to the Bills/Redskins game two weeks ago and 1/4- 1/3 of the fans were Bills fans. So we are everywhere
