  1. super smart by the Browns, now they have enough draft capital (two 1s) next year to grab a top QB they want next year in what will be a QB-rich draft. This draft completely sucked for QBs so, the trade back to get more picks this year and that added #1 next year is probably the best move of the night.
  2. so glad this is almost over. this might be the most overhyped, over analyzed, over discussed event in all of pro sports... even the analysts say they can't wait to stop having to talk about it anymore.
  3. Cook is doing what his agent tells him to do. and a RB coming off a great year 3 holding out prior to year 4 demanding a new contract is pretty much standard operating procedure. to me, this is no surprise at all . what stinks is that he'll come back in August after holding out for 4 months and pop a hamstring week 1 another poster said we have probably seen the best of Cook... this could very easily be true. he was playing for a contract last year.. he could give two sh-ts what team he's on.. he's performing for the cash
  4. anything golf works for me..
  5. yeah the tournament is what it is, but a single elimination tournament as the only measure of success is way overemphasized relative to the 4 month+ regular season where the real work gets done. If the tournament is so great, why not have 50 franchises and make the whole damn season one big f ing 4 month double elimination tournament with losers brackets, the works?
  6. this draft doesn't seem worthy of lots of dramatic move-ups and the like. Just get as many picks inside the top 100 as all of them probably look like starters (but not stars) Just stay where you are at 30 but see if you can add a 3rd round choice somehow. thats about it. Maybe next years draft will have something to get really excited about. This one is kind of a yawner
  7. have to think he'll eventually be cut as he is either the starter or he's out, bc he does not play special teams
  8. the headache is the holdout. He just might. These is a track record of 4th year top RBs holding out.
  9. exactly. guy looks to me like he might be a locker room cancer ... fortunately we don't have near the cap space needed
  10. man the offseason is slow
  11. this draft class looks pretty crappy for big potential players compared to other years sucks to be the Titans; tough year to have the #1 pick
  12. nice record, but Gretzky has no peer, and its not even close I live in the DC area, and Ovi scored a ton by burying a bunch of one timers from the top of the circle on the power play.. like hundreds of goals this way.. a little like Cook scoring a pile of TDs from inside the 10, makes the total TD count kind of misleading The Great One is hundreds of points ahead of anyone else.. total team player. multiple Stanley Cups , etc etc. Ovi is kind of like a Randy Moss or Jerry Rice, amazing ability to score a ton but ....
  13. he may be washed in the context of the coming increasing incidence of man coverage league wide (to force QB to hold the ball longer..) but: My guess is that Beane (like every other interested GM) will wait to see how the draft shakes out b4 coming to a conclusion on Douglas
  14. everyone gotta make a living I guess.. :I
  15. Bills need to get Taiwan Jones and Siran Neal on the horn quick.. time to play some ST again! they agreed on the 35 last year and then caved at the last minute to see if the 30 would do the trick... which it didn't
  16. As a veteran tennis player/fan, and if Hawkeye is being used the same way it is used in pro tennis, then yes, they must have found a way to geolocate the ball relative to the line to gain with enough precision (even in the midst of multiple tacklers -- don't know how that is accomplished) to do exactly that. Hell, they could even "ring a bell" as the line to gain is crossed, similar to how "OUT" is electronically called in real time as the tennis ball misses the line in a tennis match. wow, super cool if they have figured this out
  17. not to many, many, esp. young NFL guys from shi--ty backgrounds... the cash is king. its all about the bag. Half the guys in the NFL are mercenaries first, goal seeking idealists second..
  18. something like that, yep... Cook needs to hedge that he doesn't get that little body racked up. Should be an interesting watch during the season. Not sure at all that they'll tag him as that would be between $15 and $20m straight against the 2026 cap ... I'd be surprised if Beane does that...
  19. Trust the Process (Draft well, develop the player, extend the players who come out of that process). It has been working for years now.
  20. why are we rooting for these kinds of attitudes and people? the disconnect between the players and the fans of the NFL is as wide as it has ever been not sure about this game and this league sometimes
  21. if this board didn't have negative opinions on just about everything, it would have no opinions at all Board should go from TwoBillsDrive to TwoBillsWhine
