  1. The Yinzers at work tomorrow are going to be insufferable. Can’t wait!
  2. Weird how a team with SB aspirations have LB questions and brought in two decent options in Cunningham and Jack. Would be nice to see.
  3. This broadcast… ”Tough break for the Steelers…” WTF. They’re up 27-0 😂
  4. Heard that before… It can indeed be worse. 😂🫠
  5. Got to laugh at it brother. Nothing that can be done and it’s not a win or go home game for the team. 🤷‍♂️ The Bengals game was pathetic, almost as bad a no show and definitely not laughable. This? Ehhh.
  6. Real question… can Peters even make it through a whole season if he has to be put in? That’s a tall order for a lot of guys on the older side of 30 years old. 40 y/o??? 😬
  7. The good thing? This is showing us how bad the actual reserves and backups on this team can play… The bad thing? This is our backups and reserves… At least we know this now. Some people want to do away with these games completely. Cool, well this is what we would be going into the season with a little more blindly without them. 🤮
  8. I don’t know. If it’s Tyrod or Barkley/Allen for a couple games, I’m taking Tyrod all day. Again… that’s JMPO.
  9. So 2 questions: Do you believe preseason games to serve any purpose at all? How do you go about evaluating the talent on your team? Practice?
  10. As a starter, yes. But as a backup Tyrod is definitely a top option for a team that has a competent and well build roster. Think he is definitely an improvement over Kyle Allen or Barkley in that position. Anyway, that’s JMO.
  11. Starters will only play a few series or quarter IMO. With one complete cut down day for rosters I think “traditions” are out the window. Really, you need as much tape on unknowns as possible. At least that would be a logical analysis and one I think they adhere to.
  12. He isn’t listed anywhere on the teams depth chart… Think you have to give him playing time there given his collegiate history and the need the team has.
  13. Didn’t Parsons say he could play RB? Maybe he can get paid to be a two way player then thank Jerry for spending $ on a top guard who he’s running behind.
  14. RB: Evans, Mims WR: all of them? 😂 TE: Kincaid OL: Gouraige, Torrence & Edwards (these could be solid guys as fill-ins) DL: a line of Basham/Cline/Poona/Lawson or Rey LB: Williams & Bernard with the majority of snaps DB: Zayne Anderson, Austin, Ingram & Rapp Would like to see Harty in the return game instead of Isabella this game.
  15. I don’t judge and form an opinion solely from everything on the field. Having played sports on a pro-am level I am well aware there is good days and bad days and that the execution of what was planned or hoped for doesn’t always go into effect. My concern is that he was nonchalantly pleased with a lackluster performance. It is what it is. You see nothing wrong with the performance coupled with his talks. I see a problem with how he views his own performance. Nothing more. Nothing less.
  16. Smooth isn’t my point of contention. It can’t be delusional for a fan to think it’s an issue that a guy who was “happy with it (his performance” when he was overthrowing he targets, unable to go through reads consistently and be in a shambles the majority of the time he was in the pocket under pressure. I’m not advocating he’s horrible just that how important the backup roll on a team of this quality is. Sure it’s a new system and there’s room for him to grow and learn but the point is this… The guy didn’t play great but in talking about his playing time did nothing to allude that things could have been better/some good, some bad/chalk it up as a learning process… Etc. THAT is delusion.
  17. The simplest way to look at it is the best. In terms of being brought in, whether through free agency (UFA included) or through the draft, who played themselves in and out of a job or a role here… WR is absolutely tough to pin point after that game. A lot of new faces had decent spells throughout the game. Same goes with the secondary. For the most part a lot of those guys played well; Jamarcus Ingram & Zayne Anderson (at least to me from what I saw). Regarding DBs what’s going on with that Austin kid from OSU? Back to the initial point that many have made, Kyle Allen was brought in to be the backup to Josh and frankly he’s playing himself out of that role. @Beck Water said it best: his play coupled with the delusion of how he viewed it is concerning, especially for the importance of his role as a back up on a quality NFL team.
  18. 107 tackles in a “diminished” role last season…? Wow. By statistical guidelines, who cares how he got them, at that number he has to be worth a look. (But in seriousness. He became a starter last year. His role increased from the previous 2…)
  19. Do you think if the play quality from his return onward becomes a continuation this year, they try and trade him before value completely diminishes? Or do you feel he has to just completely bomb to move on? He’s a fan favorite but hanging onto players who just aren’t performing in a pivotal and vital role isn’t a recipe for success.
  20. What’s your choice of betting platform? I’m back and forth between FanDuel and DraftKings I don’t know what Draft Kings did but I usually roll with a 4 game parlay and most of the stacked odds don’t payout like they used to. Also they way they’ve formatted the main screen for bets, not a fan.
  21. That Singletary play was one he did in fact cut back to the right… but got caught at the edge. I think Cook is the better prospect but Devin wasn’t god awful here. All RBs can miss a channel for free yards here or there.
  22. Think you hit the nail on the head. Hesitant and overthinking. Rookie trait. Not much of a fan of throwing raw players in but that role is pivotal in this defense, and athletically, I think he may be the best pairing with Milano in the future. Maybe if the LB play is as atrocious as a lot have forecasted; a “trial by fire” is the best option?
