  1. Jesus Christ… Meltdown inbound!!!!!
  2. Wouldn’t surprise me if they make whatever work and have success. Reid does a great job at improving deficiencies
  3. One of the friendlier football events out there.
  4. So in tune he’s asleep and typing…
  5. You got it… Good pick for them though.
  6. Jets, sadly, have a very interesting and young roster.
  7. Jets taking a CB to lock down the other side opposite Sauce???
  8. Not a fan at all of the application of a first rounder for where the roster is at. But living in the Pitt area, Kancey is a beast man… wouldn’t like it but wouldn’t hate it either.
  9. Sadly, it’s looking like it. Unless they hopefully feel they are set with Lazard, Davis and Wilson… might consider OLine or even CB.
  10. Think that type of personality only becomes a distraction or problem when they aren’t being a productive player or teammate. Teams have and can tolerate a lot from players who are game changers for their franchise... Think that sentiment rings true for most fans also. As long as they aren’t a complete piece of work or criminal then the out spoken, media centric possible diva personality can get a pass if they are a difference maker for said team.
  11. Never liked the pick but positionally I don’t even think it was that bad of a choice… We were still in Trent Edwards infancy and had a decent run game to assist… Schobel and Kelsey were both the only real options entering that off season, the former ended up retiring after Maybin’s rookie year. To boot, Maybin didn’t do too bad in limited use his Freshman year at Penn State and his Sophomore year wasn’t bad by any standard for an edge player. The problem was the high risk, high reward. After Maybin there was only one player, going by positional selection, who panned out. And that was Orakpo; who actually had very similar stats the year of draft declaration. Its always a combination of both the player and the coaching they come into. Saw an interview with Maybin in his studio apartment a few years back where he was talking about his real passion being the arts. That, if anything, played the biggest part to his failure. He got paid and didn’t have the need or desire to play football. Can’t hit every pick on the head.
  12. Are we believing the rumors of a possible 5 QBs in the top 20, maybe 15??? (Stroud, Young, Richardson, Levis & Hooker)
  13. We are a good football team. There’s no doubt about that. But when it matters we fall short. Regular season records are irrelevant when it’s all said and done. You make the playoffs or you don’t. Doesn’t matter if that’s a 6-11 record or 17-0, the ultimate goal is to win it all and frankly we fall short more often than not. The closest we got was the AFC championship and got rolled by the Chiefs. That year we scraped by the Rivers-led Colts and Raven thanks to a pick-6 in a stalemate. There’s few games where this team plays well as a whole. It’s one or the other floundering or slacking when it matters most. Blame falls on Offense and Defense for the collective failures we’ve had in the P/O’s…. That, at least to me, is a coaching problem. I’m not saying fire McDermott but there has to be improvements this year or serious questions must be had regarding his future success for the team.
  14. Maybe this is the plan all along… The defense will regress somewhat and lead to Frazier getting that coaching job everyone has been hoping for, leading to more compensatory picks in future drafts… 🤪
  15. Does this mean they won’t get round to it or they have a ball park figure that he’ll be asking for and won’t be able to match it?
  16. Don’t take this as an attack or chide toward your opinion as you’re entitled to it… But what exactly makes you believe a guy that was a late 7th rounder who saw absolutely no playing time other than the blowout of Pittsburgh… (31-3 @ H/T) is “the guy” to get it done? Nothing remotely great on Special Teams either. So that leaves Clemson playing time to really evaluate his talent and well it was mediocre at best. Please, if you could, enlighten those who are interested as to what lead you to the point you are at… Thanks. Ditto.
  17. I get that. Maybe there was just an expectation of something along the lines of: “We will look at all possible scenarios and options to fill any positional we feel can be filled, upgraded or improved upon…”. Saying it’s already in house is obviously very specific.
  18. Oh boy. Hopefully this isn’t going to be as bad as we all anticipate… We all can only hope…
  19. I wondered the same thing. Then I thought maybe he can learn stuff behind them, gain a year of rest and development then dip back into the FA pool afterward. Dude will only be 26 and still have time to sign a decent deal or a 1-year “prove it” starting gig. On the Bills part… great pick up. Kid is starter quality, not the best of course, and is better insurance if one Hyde/Poyer go out for a prolonged period again. Win win for both IMO.
